This spot was the perfect Northwoods getaway. Quiet and calm with very nice property to explore! The house has many amenities and was furnished in a way that was very comfortable for a night in. The pellet stove was a smidge tricky, but after watching a video about it and with Patricia's instructions, we were able to figure it out. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved Linda's little piece of heaven! We were seeking a quiet kid-free weekend with peace and tranquility for our anniversary and that's exactly what we got. We mentioned to Linda that our air mattress had lost some air (our pump wasn't working) and she came back 10 minutes later with a pump and extension cord for us. Lots could have been a little bigger, but it wasn't an issue since we were the only guests. 5 star host, 5 star location!

This place is absolutely amazing. There is so much natural beauty everywhere you look and it is very private. Jon is an awesome host and a really cool guy. We explored a lot of the property but I feel like there is a lot more to see when we find the time to get back there again. This is the kind of natural wonder that you could enjoy any time of year as long as you're prepared for the elements.

This was a very relaxing & peaceful trip. I loved the big yard for the dogs to run around and explore in. The area was quiet except for the cars driving to and from the lake. I especially loved the clean bathroom and that there was laundry there. Communication with Jason was excellent and he responded immediately. He was seriously the best host, he even gave us a recommendation on where to go fishing!! Thank you again! We definitely enjoyed our 2 week stay!!

Weekend Trip to Dingle Dangle Acres
This is an amazing cabin with all the amenities a person could ever think of. It really felt like I was staying in my super cool aunts cabin who knew I needed a long break. The land was beautiful, the cabin had so many wonderful cooking options from nice stainless steel to cast iron and easy to use air fryer. Plus a good portion of spices. The beds were so comfy! I need to find out what pillow topper she uses. Was easy to clean with all the mops and scrubs, which is essential when you got doggies. Speaking of doggies, it is hard to ware out a shepherd and a black lab, they slept like logs both nights. They both have pretty good recall, so giving them the opportunity to really run in the woods, around the cleared out area nearby the cabin, and pond was fun for them. It is private, beautifully dark at night so you can see the stars so well. The nearby town of tawas was fantastic. And stop at Joe's Market on the way in on 65 and get the best cut of meat and great sweet corn.
Good internet too! So you can post all the pictures to make your friends jealous.

Loved staying at the orchard! There was lots of space, and having a bathroom and shower was a huge bonus. It is right off the road, but camping behind the garage gave us all the privacy we needed!

It was really nice camping on Linda’s land. She has lots of seating near the creek, and even has a couple of hammocks. It’s a nice location close to all that Alpena has to offer. Linda and her daughter were very nice, and I enjoyed seeing their three dogs. Linda was also very accommodating. She just wants your stay there to be the best it can be!

Lots of wood to collect for your fire! Dont need to bring any. James showed me around the area and was very welcoming. I drive a Honda Fit and was able to drive to site no issue. This is a huge plus!
I would note this area is very moist with creeks running throughout- this is a tick and mosquitoes warning if it wasn't already obvious. I sprayed my gear with 3% permethrin once I realized (tent and 2 outfits). I only saw about 3 the entire stay (3 nights) and checked myself constantly. I stayed on trail as much as possible and I had no issues! Just a heads up for any visitors. You do hear traffic across the way and a couple 4 wheelers in the field across during the day time. Dollar general 6 min away has everything you may need and some small cute shops in town. Walmart is 30 min away. I felt safe camping here as a solo female and cant wait to visit again.

Camp was great at the oak tree! We truly enjoyed our private camping! Highly recommend over a busy campground! Owner is very polite & will drive you to the site if needed! Fast responder! Good communication! Very polite! Pond was nice for fishing! & the beautiful oak provided the best shade for the heat wave! & the cafe and gas station only being about 3 minutes away is the best plus!

We drove from upstate so about 5 hour drive. we arrived and had questions right away about the set up he answered and came down. helped us level out the rv cause my jacks went out. super nice and understanding. The place was stunning. huge field behind you and tree coverage. easy to find. fire flies were out everywhere at night. the shower was clear had a little smell but nothing that stuck to you. sink and toilet were clean and working good. we truly had a blast and relaxing weekend out here. dogs were good with no leashes. grass was cut. Definitely one of our new favorite spots! down the road is a boat dock you can fish at. The only thing I would say is a little annoying is the traffic around the place but inside the rv you couldn’t hear it, it’s just close to the road but i’ll take that over a loud crowded campsite. If you want your own little spot or with a family this is the place to be!

The site was very nice. James is a fantastic host. He keeps the property maintained, grass cut, bathroom clean, etc. He also will direct you to some great sites and views of the Ausable River. It was a great trip.

Jon is so helpful and kind! We had a super quiet and relaxing weekend seeing a ton of wildlife and stars! Perfect distance to the Huron NF and the beach. I cannot say enough how beautiful this property was and how amazing the host is.
