Each day we feel blessed to live in an idyllic, peaceful spot and we would like to share the serenity we've found here. We are less than a mile off Old 27, close to 127 and 5 miles to I-69 DeWitt Exit. Drop by and stay for a night on your way to your final destination or relax and stay for a few days, Our first site is open for tent or RV. Our new heated barn has a flush-toilet, sink, shower, washer and dryer. Less than a mile down the road is our local tavern with good, affordable food and welcoming vibe. Our home sits in the middle of a large clover lawn surrounded by woods, a pond and low-land meadow with high grass and wildflowers. Walking trails are cut through the woods and meadow providing ability to see deer, rabbits, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, cranes, blue and green heron and native flowers. We sometimes see raccoons, eagle, hawk, wood peckers, coyote and fox. During the day you'll see our ducks and chickens free-ranging and our sheep may join them or be in their pasture. We have an active homestead farm and we are focused on building a thriving environment for pollinators. Autumn brings the honey harvest and in the spring maple syrup... you're always welcome around the fire.

My quite spot is within 14 miles from everything that starts, the up north attitude. From kayaking, canoeing, hiking, tubing, Muskegon river Dragon bike trail. Croton Dam & Hardy Dam are both within minutes. I am also on the M.O.R.E. bike trail. ( Michigan Off Road Expedition ) Within just a few miles from both the White Pine Trail and the NCT. So, if your on a trail, need a break. I got you a spot! 12 Miles from Newaygo, and only a few miles from local dinning and lounges. 6 Miles from Croton dam. Which is one of the most popular drop off spots for tubing, kayaking, canoeing.. 6 miles from Howard City, Where you can hit the White Pine Trail. 3 miles off 131, and just 25 minutes from Big Rapids. If you like camping WITHOUT 200 others, you'll love this. Each site is stocked with wood and restocked daily for a small fee of $20.00, which can be purchased in advance from this site under extras. this will include up to a 3 night stay. The property is 30 acres but we are only sharing the back 5 acres for campsites. The property is situated against the Manistee national forest, so there is plenty of wildlife to see. The campsites are currently setup for boondocking, eventually that will be upgraded as time goes on. We do offer farm fresh eggs upon request. If the season is right their could be fresh garden vegetables available as well. Fire pits are available but please know that burn restrictions will be strictly enforced since the property butts up against the national forest. Pets are welcomed but please cleanup after them and never let them just run free without supervision. The evening sky is always a picturesque site and the star gazing is phenomenal. Things to do off the farm: There are dirt bike and ORV trails for miles that run aside the property. The trails can take you to white river for fishing, kayaking, boating, or swimming. The trails can also be nice for a walk, hike, biking, or horseback riding. Bird watchers, the variety of birds that can be found just on the farm alone is quite large. There is an 18 hole disc golf course just 7 minutes away that can challenge even the most skilled and still be fun for the beginner. Fun on the water: Access to so many different lakes is just minutes away. The property is about 25 mins from Lake Michigan, 15 mins from Twin Lake (all sport inland lake), 8 minutes from Blue Lake, and 15 mins from Fremont Lake. Muskegon river is also a short distance from the property for a planned summer tubing trip. There is a river side shop that offers tubes for renting if you don't have any of your own. Shopping nearby: Whispering Pines, Amish store is 8 mins away from the property. They offer a host of many different groceries and a deli. Bigger box stores are a 20 minute drive into Fremont. Attractions: Fremont is home to Gerber foods (baby food production) and they hold the Gerber festival every year in mid July. If you are looking for some fun at a theme park, Michigan Adventures is just 20 minutes away from the property. They have rollar coasters and a water park for all ages.

Weekend Trip to Wool in the Wood - Peaceful Retreat
I'm so happy I found this spot, Michael and Dawn are such welcoming hosts, and they have poured so much love into their land! As soon as I arrived, Michael gave me and my pup a tour of the land - the animals, the garden, the walking trails, and a small history of the ongoing efforts to restore the native Michigan plants. It's so beautiful to meet folks who are such passionate caretakers of the land they live on! The campsite itself is a small opening of grass that is in front of their house, somewhat opposite from the driveway. Even though it's close to the house, it still felt private, as they planted young trees and wildflowers to create a natural separation from their gravel road. It was perfect for my minivan / car camping setup, and there's ample space for a slightly bigger setup to fit in comfortably. Being less than 10 minutes away from the highway, it is surprisingly quiet out here! On a clear night, the stars shine so bright. I loved exploring the trails with my little doggy (though be mindful of poison ivy!) and spotting deer and native birds is a promise here! I happened to stay here on the same weekend Michael and Dawn's children came home to visit - and they invited me to sit by the fire with them. They are really such a lovely family, with so many adventurous stories to tell! I really enjoyed my stay, and meeting these folks! Bonus was the flush toilet, hot shower, and laundry available to use in the garage! Great place to reset, and enjoy good vibes! 😊

This is a perfect little quiet spot to spend the night and avoid a busy campground. There are no hookups, but I wasn't concerned about that. There is a full restroom with a shower and great hot water and pressure. I enjoyed this little quiet spot and will for sure stop again if I'm passing through.

My black lab Luke or cat Mojo will likely visit your site to say hello and are super chill. 2 disc golf Black Hole Pro baskets on site to practice with. Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge. Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away. Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac) Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from. If woods or open shows booked already, please contact me. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn. But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam. Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic. The campsites are currently setup for boondocking, eventually that will be upgraded as time goes on. We do offer farm fresh eggs upon request. Fire pits are available but please know that burn restrictions will be strictly enforced since the property butts up against the national forest. Things to do off the farm: There are dirt bike and ORV trails for miles that run aside the property. The trails can take you to white river for fishing, kayaking, boating, or swimming. The trails can also be nice for a walk, hike, biking, or horseback riding. Bird watchers, the variety of birds that can be found just on the farm alone is quite large. There is an 18 hole disc golf course just 7 minutes away that can challenge even the most skilled and still be fun for the beginner. Fun on the water: Access to so many different lakes is just minutes away. The property is about 25 mins from Lake Michigan, 15 mins from Twin Lake (all sport inland lake), 8 minutes from Blue Lake, and 15 mins from Fremont Lake. Muskegon river is also a short distance from the property for a planned summer tubing trip. There is a river side shop that offers tubes for renting if you don't have any of your own. Shopping nearby: Whispering Pines, Amish store is 8 mins away from the property. They offer a host of many different groceries and a deli. Bigger box stores are a 20 minute drive into Fremont. Attractions: Fremont is home to Gerber foods (baby food production) and they hold the Gerber festival every year in mid July. If you are looking for some fun at a theme park, Michigan Adventures is just 20 minutes away from the property. They have rollar coasters and a water park for all ages.
