We also have in town canoeing local and beach side fire pits along Lake Huron. We’re close to Lumberman monument which is a beautiful place to hike and see the fall colors. We’re also not a far drive from the Mackinac Bridge. You can engage in water, beaches, canoeing or just sit by the bonfire and eat s’mores! The property is 5 acres with a home located on site and someone will be available if needed. We do have dense pines with bugs so bring bug spray!

Catch a ferry to Bois Blanc Island from Cheboygan or visit nearby Mackinaw City for a ferry ride to famous Mackinaw Island. This unique camp site is located on a private lane just off US23 in Northern Michigan. Under The Oak on Hammond Bay is designed to accommodate small and large camping units with either a 30A or 50A electrical hook-up. We loved staying on Phil’s property! Gaining entry was no problem, and the view of the lake was beautiful, especially in the morning, with a light fog rolling across the water. The cleanest and best smelling porta potty I’ve ever been in!

It was our first hipcamp. Went really good. Visited the local lighthouses and enjoyed the local sites. We tent camped and it only rained 1 out of the five days. After the rain my daughter enjoyed catching frogs. I would recommend.

I had such a wonderful stay at this property! The place was spotless – you can tell the host takes great pride in maintaining the space. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The bed was super comfy, and the entire space felt cozy and welcoming. One of the highlights for me was the water. It's crystal clear and so refreshing, perfect for a swim! While there weren't any fish to catch, it didn’t take away from how peaceful and relaxing the water was. A great spot to dip in and enjoy the tranquility. Overall, it was an amazing escape, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a clean, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay. Would definitely come back!

what a cool site! pretty private, only heard neighbors twice the whole weekend. and only time we saw other people is when a boat went across the water. dogs loved all the space and having the water to themselves. toilet was very clean. nice clear sky for viewing stars. you can occasionally hear cars from the road but it wasn't bothersome. there is a wetland area you have to walk thru to get to the water, so be prepared to possibly get your feet/shoes wet/muddy. also be aware of uneven ground some places once you're closer to the water. having a trailer with electricity, i parked closer to the electric pole where unfortunately there wasn't much daytime shade. but many trees else where at the site. host was great, got right back to me with any questions i had. would stay again and highly recommend!
