As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with goats, chickens, ducks, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site.
Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species.
The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it.
You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent.
Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass.
If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails.
We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables.
The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! Please let us know if you need something we may have it, we want you to enjoy your stay!!

The Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground began as a vacant wooded lot in 1968. The land was purchased by Charles and Jeanne Feeney from a retired doctor living in Vineyard Haven. Charles “Chuck” Feeney was an aerospace engineer at the time and was always taking his kids camping. His dream was to have a place for the family to camp and call their own. So together with his wife and five children he converted a bus into a camper and carved out a site amongst the wild blueberry bushes and scrub oak trees. Our family fell in love with the island. We discovered all the island has to offer and found it irresistible. We were the tourists of yesteryear and what attracted our family back then still exists today: beautiful beaches, fabulous fishing, quaint villages, and amazing sunsets. With a lot of hard work and great family pride, the construction of Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground began. During the first few summers of construction, we lived in the converted bus and tents. Slowly the sites and the roads were carved out. Summer vacations meant clearing land and pouring cement. The campground was officially opened in the spring of 1972 and has been a family-run operation ever since. Today the campground is managed by a third generation of The Feeney Family. The goal has always been to provide a quality camping experience for families who wish to visit this wonderful island. Weekend Trip to Glamping with the Wild Horses
We had an amazing time! When we got there we were greeted by Jody & she was AMAZING! She helped us get settled in and made sure we knew that if there was anything we needed we could call her. The beds were incredibly comfortable, it downpoured so hard for most of the night and the dome was great! It didn’t let a single drop of rain in. There’s a wood stove in the dome and it was enough to keep us toasty warm even though it was in the low 30’s, they also provide tons of warm comfy blankets. There was plenty of wood chopped right outside the domes so if you run out it’s very close. We were able to go and help feed the herd and had the opportunity to give plenty of scratches! In the morning we booked the hike with the horses with Tatianna & Chris which was amazing! We were actually in the areas with the gorgeous herd and were able to get hands on again! I honestly could go on all night talking about how amazing it was but in my opinion the very best part of everything was the fact that every single cent that I spent while we were there went right back into caring for and maintaining the herd. When I was looking for a place to go that’s what sealed the deal and made the decision to pick this place very easy!! I highly HIGHLY recommend checking it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

The property and wild horses was breath taking the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The staff and owners were beyond friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Would definitely come back again and recommend for anyone that has a love for horses and nature to come and have a stay.

This was so much fun! To wake up and see the horses (and donkeys!) wandering right outside our dome was perfect, and getting to do the walk about with MacKenzie and learn about the horses and their background was so interesting.
The dome was clean and cozy, with a little wood stove. We weathered a hurricane in October with no problems.

Justine was a phenomenal host. I️ could not have asked for a more relaxed experience or environment. Better than what I️ had intended. The cabin was clean, cozy and full of characters. Justine greeted us with warmth and hospitality upon arrival. She was also quick to help us when needing anything. Also I️ would like to thank you for being welcoming to our dog, Sage. This site is a dream. Jae will send you a list of nearby attractions to visit but you will not at all want to leave the magic of the A-frame. The spot is perfectly secluded, simultaneously buried in the woods and full of sunlight, quiet and clean — it was the most rejuvenating weekend escape from the city (my partner and I both slept better than we have in a long time!) The citronella torches kept the mosquitos away, the toilet was easy and clean, and Jae gives you everything you might need (toilet paper, camp stove, water for drinking, water for washing, etc). Will be recommending this site to all of my friends!! Thank you Jae!

Weekend Trip to Glamping with the Wild Horses
MacKenzie’s wild horse sanctuary is a very special place! We had a great experience. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and kind. We learned a lot about their mission and had a lot of interaction with the horses.
The glamping domes were very comfortable and nicely decorated. There was a grill by the communal campfire for cooking, but you will need to bring your own pots and pans, utensils, plates, etc. You should also bring your own drinking water. The terrain near the domes is rocky and uneven, so you should bring good shoes, even if you don’t plan on hiking. You have to walk for a little bit to get to the outhouse, but it is the nicest-looking and nicest-smelling outhouse you will ever see!
If you love horses, put this place on the top of your list!

Our stay was the perfect reset and refresh we needed! The A frame was super cozy and had all the essentials and then some. It was the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion while still being just a short walk or drive from anything we needed. Jae was a great host, giving us complete privacy but remaining reachable if anything came up. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.

MacKenzie and her wild mustangs are absolutely incredible! Our visit was so much more than we imagined — not only did we gain fascinating insights into positive reinforcement training, but we also had the joy of experiencing it firsthand. Every moment felt inspiring and heartwarming. The entire team at the property radiates warmth and passion, making the experience truly special. And the campsite domes, fantastic. We left with full hearts and a deeper appreciation for these majestic animals, and we will most certainly be back!

The best Hipcamp experience to date! Everything was perfectly as described and more. There were three of us staying and I completely expected to just sleep on the floor but there was a cot set up for me next to the bed when we got there! We had everything we needed — water, lights, fans, mosquito netting, a bathroom! Everything was thought of and provided. The hosts were welcoming and incredible. Could not recommend staying here more and would, without a doubt, stay again!

Such a cute little place on the water, exactly as described! It was comfortable at night, with the cool air from the water, and even sitting outside the mosquitos weren’t bad at all, which was really shocking. Of course did get a few bites, but the sleeping area is well netted, so you could avoid the mosquitos mostly just by sitting inside the netting. Getting eggs as well was great, they were tasty! Thanks for a great stay!

Super cute and peaceful little spot to relax. Got some good bonding time with my dog. Jae was very nice and helpful with recommendations around town.
The a-frame was so pretty! Happily made use of the charcoal grill and fire pit, the poker coming in clutch :) The ducks and goats were funny when we passed. And even got a beautiful show of fireflies over the water at dusk.

Weekend Trip to Glamping with the Wild Horses
My partner and I decided on a whim to spend a long weekend here. We are so glad we did! We loved everything about this. The domes are very homely, the grounds have everything you might need (except potable water, but there are plenty of places to get that for yourselves nearby) and you’re never very far from any horses. The hosts are kind and very accommodating. They are also clearly very passionate about their work caring for and training wild mustangs and donkeys. The fact that proceeds go to support their nonprofit is excellent. They are doing great work with their consent-based training program. The guided horse tours and demonstrations are very fun and informative, so make sure to book those with your stay. The surrounding area (within 30min in all directions) also offers lots to do and great places to eat. Can’t believe a place like this exists <90min from Boston! We will definitely be back for another visit.

Our family of five (kids ages 5, 9, 12) had a great time. This is a family-run operation. Mac Kenzie and her husband and in-laws were superb hosts who went above and beyond to meet all of our needs--extra fans, hats with bug nets, frozen water bottles, you name it.
We were there on a very hot summer day. The dome was hot and stuffy during the day but cooled down to reasonable sleeping temperature at night. The outhouse was clean and not one bit smelly. The campsite had some extras we were not expecting--bug spray, spatula and tongs for the BBQ, towels. The two double beds in the Comfy Contrasts dome are lofted one over the other. The three domes are very close together, so had there been other guests, we would effectively have all been camping together.
The hike with horses was extremely worthwhile and gave us a much better understanding of the work Wild Ride does. They took us on a comfortable, easy walk to accommodate our kids, so don't be intimidated by the description of the hike as steep and strenuous.
We did a little other hiking on the property, but there wasn't a whole lot to do. or see. I would definitely recommend this spot if you have activities planned nearby (and Mac Kenzie and co were full of recommendations) but would not suggest relying on the property itself to provide all your entertainment.
