Learn more about this land:This is a family farm which I now steward. One house was built by my grandparents in 1939 and the other by my father in 1981. There is a hay field and a horse pasture that is home to Biscuit and Shorty. Vehicle campers can locate a spot near either house if they need electricity or water. Tent campers can set up almost anywhere that appeals to them.

Mrs. Gladys used to work for my Grandmother at the local ladies dress shop. She and her husband often brought us fresh vegetables they raised on their "little piece of heaven." They had no children and all these years later, their idea of heaven became ours to take care of now. We are so blessed here at Payne Lane Farms. You can safely camp in your travel trailer minutes off of I-20 on our wooded, rural lot minutes from town, convenience stores, food, and even dump stations. The front orchard provides a refuge of shade and privacy while also allowing you to see everything around you. Rayville, Louisiana has great history and heritage and some fun artifacts to explore if you have an adventurous spirit. Good people and family owned businesses if services are needed while enroute-traveling. Welcome! Learn more about this land: Pull thru the front by turning to right of the mail box and not using the driveway! Maybe a little off road, but this is the country and it won’t hurt to just drive thru the yard sometimes. Fresh eggs for sale $3.50 dozen and maybe some fresh vegetables at $3.00 per pound, but ask us as we don't push them. Canning pantry does have inventory for easy meals. Two night max stay. Serentiy at its best. Peaceful land on old country road to get away from city life, but still only a few miles away if you need anything. You will have 18 acres to yourself if you would like to go exploring. It is so quiet here that all you can hear are your thoughts. Setup anywhere on the perimeter. Will have to bring your own tent.

Immaculate mowed lawn area perfect for a tent. Bucolic setting on a small farm. No picnic tables but I used my camping table and it was fine. I did see a fire ring. Bugs disappeared after sunset and temps dropped. Refreshing and relaxing overnight stay with wifi and a shower.

I enjoyed my stay at Williams. I had the place to myself for the night. It was very nice to allow my dog to run free off the leash. The summer heat in September was still in the 90s, but the outside shower came in clutch to cool off and refresh. It was the first time my dog saw a horse! I think shes mesmerized. Only downside would be the bugs. Make sure you bring some spray. I didn't realize how bad I got chewed on until a few days later. There is a train that passes by so be aware of that for anyone that's trying to completely get away from city life.

Don't use google maps to find the place. Use the mail box numbers. The best thing about this place is the feeling of security. Just across the street is a very nice neighborhood and if you keep walking you get to a huge cross on IH20. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

Camping area was quiet, felt safe, and only a few miles from interstate 20. had water and electricity and Had a few permanent campers one of which helped us get settled since it was dark when we arrived. Very nice gentleman.
