Large RVs and campers are welcome but will likely want to stay in the area before our bridge (we are happy to send pictures). Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

The tent camping on top of the hill was absolutely perfect! Loved the views waking up every morning and the gentle mooing from the cows. Natalie and her husband supplied me with more than enough firewood (that burnt very well) for the couple cold nights and the cookie shack was an awesome added bonus. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the river gorge area or visiting bourbon country as they’re both just a short drive.

Lovely, well-kept, and affordable little backyard campground with fun themes for each site. Morning views were very much worth leaving my tent’s rainfly open and letting in the unexpected fog and dew :)
The location of the campground is very close to a small town, but it felt much quieter and more remote than that considering the expanse of farmland around.
If I am ever back in town (which I really hope to be), I would love to come back!

What a great spot. Very private and a perfect place to camp. The site is sat between 2 creeks and our young boys (2 and 4) absolutely loved exploring every bit of it. The hosts were very nice and provided firewood! Will definitely be coming back.

The space was as described, complete with howling coyotes, raccoons the size of small toddlers and severed heads (not real!) on sticks at one site that was adjacent to us that starkly contrasted with the theme of Happy Days…. but we did leave in a bit of a daze after a cold night spent sleeping here under the stars! Bonus points for the beautiful yellow fungi growing out of the picnic table and traffic/train sounds throughout the night 🥴

This little mom-and-pop campground was an absolute gem and the perfect place for my son’s very first camping adventure. From the moment we pulled in, it felt welcoming — quiet, clean, and full of small-town charm. You can tell the owners truly care about their guests and take pride in keeping the place beautiful and family-friendly.
The campsite itself was just right — well-spaced, tidy, and surrounded by peaceful scenery. My son loved exploring the area, helping set up the tent, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. At night, the stars were bright and clear, and in the morning we woke up to birds singing and the smell of the woods — it felt like stepping back to simpler times.
And I have to mention the cute little cookie shop out front — what a treat! It added such a special touch to the whole experience. We stopped in for a few cookies before heading home, and it was the sweetest way to end our trip.
If you’re looking for a place that feels personal, peaceful, and run with genuine heart, this is it. We’ll definitely be coming back for another weekend under the stars.

My first Hipcamp experience, not my last. Natalie was very responsive, which was fabulous, since I erased the address on my email....eek! I arrived in the rainy darkness but convenient luminescent signs directed me to my campsite easily. Beautiful and quiet, lulled by crickets, I passed a lovely night in this affordable convenient waystation. THanks Natalie!

We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice.
The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing!
It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate.
Would stay here again!

Great little campground. Not too far from the highway but feels like "in the country". Beautiful views. I tent camped and it was a good spot. The themed campers look really cute and each is in a relatively private area. Primitive shower and bathroom but definitely a good value for the $.

This is a well cared for, quality site, when traveling through and you need a convenient place to stay.
As a veteran hip-camper, I've come to the realization that unless you want to be 20 miles or more off the route your traveling, you're going to experience some road noise, but by the time I was ready to hunker down and sleep it was quite manageable.
I would not hesitate to stay here again if I happen to pass this way again.

We had such an amazing experience staying in the treehouse. The children loved the slide on the balcony and the giant net hammock. The treehouse is well-equipped with electrical lights, fans, outlets, a space heater, and an A/C window unit. There are several miles of hiking trails to explore on the property, and we enjoyed crossing the net bridge and seeing the ruins of the 19th-century settler's cabin. Everything looked just like the pictures, and my kids were so sad to leave--they said they want to live there forever!
