Come and spend some time at a direct-to-consumer dairy farm. Our cows are called Dutch Belted. They are often referred to as Oreo cows. Stay on the farm where the milk is produced, processed, and sold. The farm store is a short distance away and sells a large variety of farm foods.
The farm consists of about 200 acres of pasture and creek bottom. The owner, Loyd, has lived on the farm all his life.
We are right beside what used to be a Navy base... yeah in Kansas.:) The runway still gets used for gliders. So you might see a glider being pulled up while you are here.

After your tour of the vast and serene property, you will be shown to one of the three group tents, or the more secluded tent on the other side of the property - depending on which tent(s) you reserved. All of the glamping tents are safari style with spacious interiors and luxurious details you are sure to love.
The three group tents can sleep up to 4 each, and are furnished with a queen and two twin-sized beds, along with cozy decor. There is no electricity in the tents, but there are lanterns and solar lights to help guide your way back to your retreat after dark. The group tent area also includes a community fire pit for late night S'mores, another outdoor area with a gazebo and a grill, and an enclosed outhouse and shower.
The secluded tent is for those who want a little more privacy. This tent is furnished with a queen size bed, and is stylishly decorated. This tent also includes a fire pit, private outdoor seating area with grill, and a private enclosed outhouse and shower.
Along with the incredible tents, Dry Creek Post also offers many perks that bring guests back time after time. There is a shared outdoor kitchen with a grill, sink, propane oven, and an outdoor dining table large enough to seat 10, plus, the Rowdy Rooster Clubhouse.
The Rowdy Rooster is the infamous clubhouse that is always a hit with guests. This clubhouse is original to the property, and was renovated by owners, Kim and Kirt, for guest use. Along with the hand-painted "Texaco" sign on the floor, the clubhouse has a rustic feel, and gives you the feeling that you have stepped back in time, or into a really cool bar in the city. The Rowdy Rooster includes a bar area, mini fridge, table and chairs, popcorn machine, lots of games, and blankets for chilly nights. Its the perfect spot to sit and play cards, have a few cocktails, or an impromptu dance party. The Rowdy Rooster also has an attached deck with seating, another fire pit, and a movie screen for special movie nights!
While there are many activities at Dry Creek Post to keep you busy, there are also many scenic places to visit in the area. It was great and relaxing staying at the Borntrager Dairy. Great site Great Sunrise every morning. Cows before milking alot quieter than I remember on the farm. Guineas around keeping bugs down. If your looking for a peaceful private stay this is it. We will definitely be back

We absolutely loved this spot! Full hookups, tons of privacy, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and great access for our big rig (45' toy hauler). We enjoyed watching the cows come in and out of the field for milking each day, as well as the funny guinea hens pecking about. The farm store is AMAZING - delicious milk, butter, yogurt, ice cream, eggs, breads, canned goods...I could go on. DEFINITELY make sure you stop into the store!
We spent a week here at the farm and each night we walked down Halstead Rd for a bit to stretch our legs and most evenings we saw an Amish horse and buggy go by which was a fun treat. We enjoyed exploring Yoder and Hutchinson - what a great area overall.
We've stayed at several HipCamps in the last year and this one was our favorite so far. We will be back!!!

Weekend Trip to Dry Creek Post
We loved our stay at the Sparrow tent. The tent was very large, well-decorated, and comfortable to sleep in. We were able to cook up a great breakfast and enjoy it in the darling outside eating area. The hosts were great and met all our needs. We would highly recommend staying here.

Water, electric, and sewer all easily available. Quiet except for the many birds! We were the only campers and enjoyed the private, rural setting. We got there just in time to buy milk (raw) in the dairy store. There were cheeses, yogurt and other delicious items available as well.

We enjoyed the clean and spacious campsite . It was a pleasure waking up and hearing the Grasshopper Sparrows , Dickcissels and Meadow Larks singing. We even got to hear the coyotes yipping in the night . Nice place and nice friendly people . We recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and rejuvenate in Gods great outdoors. It was nice to see the cows meandering through the grass toward the barn with a beautiful sunrise in the background . Easy to find and a safe place to stay

We were on the rv site. Very easy to locate the property and the rv site. Everything was neat and tidy. Great little farm store and town. We loved watching the cows walk by to and from the barn.
