I am proud to be a fourth-generation caretaker of this farm and surrounding acreage.  My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how.  For the last 30 years, that has meant a divergence from traditional farming practices to focus on regenerative farming-- farming that focuses on enriching the health of the soil and the animals instead of depleting it.On our farm, we raise beef, lamb, pigs and chickens and they all live out on pasture.  In our farm store we sell meat, eggs, and raw, all-grass dairy products like milk, butter, cheese, kefir, and yogurt.  Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store.  We call it JakoPure food.Not only do we share our life-giving, gut-restoring food with others, but we want to share the experience of our farm, too.  That's why we've started hosting guests on hipcamp so that you can truly experience what's special about our farm.  Each location provides a unique perspective on our farm, and you'll engage a different part of our story at each place.  But wherever you stake your temporary claim at Jako Farm, we hope you experience the peace and rest that we know and love.Learn more about this land:Jako Farm is a working regenerative farm, and this campsite provides an easy view of all that goes on here. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance.  You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep.  If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November).  Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife.  (Fair warning:  if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.)  We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture.  There are killer sunrises and sunsets here.  If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.Please be respectful of farm operations, although we're always open to answering questions if you see us around. Weekend Trip to The Farm at Quail Valley

Had a wonderful Campsgiving at the beautiful Quail Vally Farm. Hosts were helpful and super friendly. We tent camped, but the place seemed like it would be a lovely place for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. You can tell that the place is set up for events. There are a few nice little ponds to fish and a real nice disc golf course. We’d never played before but our host Laura let us borrow a few discs, and one of our kiddos played for hours at a hole near our campsite. There’s plenty of space to roam and hike around, the property is well maintained. We really enjoyed the local wildlife, there were so many birds! We were especially thankful for the nice facilities. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp, for a large gathering of any kind, there’s something for everyone here.

Incredible stay! Stop looking and book this gem right now. Hunter had an incredible time on the Eric McCabe disc golf course, playing several rounds over the course of a 10 day stay and meeting a great group of new friends. He called it one of the most challenging and well-designed courses he’s ever played. He also caught several bass right off the bank near our campsite - just a few feet from the camper. For my part, the Wi-Fi access was a lifesaver. We all experienced some internet hiccups during our stay, but that was due to a rare, widespread outage affecting two towers at once (per T-Mobile). Laura and Robbie went above and beyond to stay in touch and make sure I could continue working comfortably despite the issue. Once things were back online, the connection was strong and steady. Ryan, Robbie, and Laura couldn’t have been kinder. They even offered us dinner our first night, which says a lot about the kind of people running this place. The property itself is beautiful - one of the nicest we’ve stayed at - and we were lucky enough to be there for the duck release, which was a real treat to see. Highly recommend a stay here.

Cheryl gave us the option to switch to site 2 because our hook-ups are on the Driver's side. We had trouble getting level in site 1 due to the recent rains that made the ground very soft, so in the end we stayed in Site 2. Site 1 has a beautiful pasture view and nearby playground, and Site 2 has a fun view of the beautiful horses. You can't go wrong with either site. There are also dogs, roosters, turkeys, and goats nearby. The cacophony of farm sounds didn't bother us, but warrant mentioning in case potential guests reading this review are sensitive to noise. There is also an Air Force base nearby, but I barely noticed it. The resident dogs are free-roaming, but they are friendly. My dog isn't generally a fan of other dogs, and the resident doggies were not a problem for us. Site 2 has full hook-ups, and we didn't need any leveling blocks at all. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated the flexibility to switch sites at the last minute. Even with the significant rain, the ground drained well around the site and the driveways. We had no trouble walking our dog or pulling the trailer in and out. We love the Hipcamp experience a thousand times more than RV parks. We are so grateful that owners like Cheryl host RVers.

A real nice and quiet place. Only so once in a while a car passes on the dirt road that gives access to the campground. In the evening you hear the crickets and you see the lights of the fire flies. In the morning you see the turkey vulgers fly over the fields. Teresa is a wonderful host. She tries to make it all as comfortable as possible. There is water, you can make a camp fire. What else do you need for having a good relaxing quiet time while camping.

Had a wonderful night at Jaco Farm. We arrived early evening and was greeted after we started setting up camp. The hosts were very nice and let us know the layout of the place. There is a very nice picnic table next to the silo along with a very clean full bath available in the farm store and is accessible 24/7. The store is filled with the fine products the farm provides. We purchased some sausage and several cheeses. It was a quiet night with a beautiful view of the property. I highly recommend this spot.

We chose this location as a halfway point for our road trip to Denver. The space was spacious enough for both my partner and me. A working farm. Very enjoyable to stay at. Camping area comfortable with all amenities we needed for comfort. The on farm store is wonderful. I purchased dairy goods and meats. We enjoyed evening strolls on road on the farm, The use of the stores bathroom and shower was a major plus to this already wonderful, experience. I drive from Georgia to utah multiple times a year, I've stay three times at this location and plan to do it again. Top notch!
