Nestled on nine wooded acres conveniently located just one mile off I-69 in Daleville, Indiana, this relaxing and peaceful property also features a stunning five-acre pond. The pond is fully stocked with a variety of fish, inviting anglers of all skill levels to cast a line. We do ask that you respect the catch and release rule. Surrounded by trees, this former stone quarry feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I had a great experience at The Hollow at Cattail Springs! I was the only one onsite during my time there, so I had the whole place available to me. There was plenty of firewood so the fire stayed hot, I had complete access to the pond, and I had ample time of solitude which I was after. I couldn't recommend booking through Cole enough! He was there waiting for me when I arrived and was like talking to someone I had known for a long time. Thanks for the hospitality!

We camped in the front of the camp site We had a nice spot and quiet. We took a trail and met other campers they were super friendly. The trails were really nice . We went to use the outhouse and a squirrel was in there, I ran so fast back the site I ran out of my shoes. I tried again later and a chipmunk ran across my foot . Needless to say we have a great story Host was awesone when bad weather was approaching. He even checked on us . Great visit and we will be back again.😆 🤣

The property has a little bit of everything for a wide variety of camp styles. The campsites are very well maintained. Even the trailways to the sites are kept in great condition. I was able to drive my Honda civic to my site without any issues at all. The woodland is very large. The trails were very enjoyable. Sites are spread out in ways that offer privacy, but the throughways create opportunities for connections with other families as well. Brian is super helpful and a pleasure to speak with. I definitely recommend this place. I will be going back someday for sure.

Brian is a down to Earth very nice guy! My brother and I camped Thu-Sat and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, secluded, beautiful site! Brian is a VERY busy man but he took the time to stop by and chat with us a couple times. My brother and I also had a great time hiking the yellow and orange trails. We got some wonderful pics of the Fall colors. I made a 260 mile round trip to camp at Walnut Valley and will definitely do it again. One word of advice, it's named "Walnut" Valley for a reason. You may want to bring some kind of padding to lay on top of your vehicle to protect it from falling walnuts.

Campsite is well laid out, host was awesome. perfect site for our bicycle tour. 6 of us in total and plenty of room.

The Hideout is located on the south side of Cattail Springs five-acre pond. The site is mostly sunny, but has a little shade. (Bring cover with you if you want guaranteed shade). It has a few areas to access the pond for fishing (catch and release) and is near the canoe drop in spot. To access this campsite, a flat, short walk will be required through the woods. Fire pit and picnic table provided. Porta potty is located on the other side of the pond (near where you'll park).

The hideout was great! A large space to spread out and a beautiful view of the pond. Thoughtful additions, like well kept trails to ensure privacy, firewood, trash bins and a cart to get your gear to camp. Instructions were easy to follow and hosts were very communicative. Would stay again!

Super lovely campsite. My friend and I stayed here for a weekend for a little relaxing getaway. Although we didn't get to meet Cole it was such an enjoyable and welcoming stay. There was firewood at our campsite when we arrived and he had plenty in case you needed more(brought our own packs since we didn't know haha). But overall would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice private camp weekend. The Cove was wonderful and secluded and you could barely hear the highway at night. Overall 10/10!!!

Brian has an amazing campground, The Mint is one of my favorites, surrounded by tall trees, it is a cozy spot, yet centrally located in the campground. Fall is beautiful in the woods, as the wildlife are out and about. I watched 8 deer strolling by as I was making my coffee.

This our 3rd time staying. A little of the beaten path but more than worth it for the peaceful tranquility and a great stopover on your way to Lake Michigan or the upper peninsula etc. Plenty of sites and lots of well maintained trails. Brian is super responsive and very friendly! The sites cost is appropriate, and he provides firewood bundles and hook up accessories at reasonable prices. 100% recommend..

Visited a couple times and plan to come back for as long as its available... Absolutely peaceful campsite with lots and lots of land. We were able to bring our dog as well. Brian was welcoming and didn't bother us none, but let us know he was there if we needed him. Can't wait to visit Again!!.
