This was my 10th visit to Camp David! It was freezing outside, but the cabin was warm, and the campfire was even warmer, under a moonlit sky. The cabin was so cute, decorated with Christmas decorations.
Davis is a fantastic host!
What a great way to spend my birthday!!!

The kids loved the animals and the huge slide! It was fun all sleeping in the same room. The sunsets were beautiful. It was a peaceful fall getaway!

Camp David was a fantastic getaway. To start, the site is easy to find and accessible by stand 2WD vehicles.
The spot feels private. You're in your own little world with a ton of space for the dogs to play. There's swings and benches all over the place for enjoyment.
David is insanely helpful and kind. He stopped by to check in to ensure we understand the generator and composting toilet. His dog is really cute too.
Ultimately, we had a fantastic lazy weekend. The dogs played their hearts out and napped in the sun on the deck. We read our books and carved pumpkins. The firepit corner is quaint and the firewood was good.

Camp David is clean, safe, and very private. The surroundings are beautiful and the host is quite lovely and very accommodating. I’ve stayed there over six times, and it’s Great!

Weekend Trip to Camp David
David was very friendly and accommodating; he even brought us a canoe to use during our stay. The cabin was lovely with tons of privacy & quiet! All the extra touches and care David put into making the space very enjoyable were much appreciated!!

A great place, photos are a little outdated. Much more cleaned up and modern looking. Great patio space for hanging out. Had people sleep in the tents, and cabin. Very friendly host, and dog. Did a guys weekend camping trip and went kayaking. Highly recommend

I love the privacy and the peacefulness of camp David. The fire pit was perfect, and had plenty of wood. Was able to make a nice meal over the fire using the nice grate, and plenty of room to prep. Sitting on the patio listening to the rain reading was the like a dream. The dogs loved being able to swim in the river, and had plenty of room to run! The simplicity of the cabin is nice for a reset, no WiFi, barely any service, but has everything you could need and then some. Can’t wait to come back!!

Camp David is such a great spot to recharge and relax. David is a gracious and attentive host. The cabin pretty much has everything you could possibly need and there's even a generator if want to use it. River is beautiful and peaceful. Can't wait for my next trip to Camp David!

We've been coming here since 2020 (both during spring and winter) and absolutely love the place. We made it our annual tradition and now we have expanded our plans to an additional stay at their bigger cabin - smaller for June trips, the bigger one for November trips. If you'd like to disconnect from "the chaos", yet be comfortable during your c(gl)amping (a real restroom, shower, heatingm portable AC, grill, fireplace, etc) and within driving distance to a store and restaurants in case you forgot something, this is your place! Rugged enough if you want to go a bit rougher, yet all amenities for you less adventurous team members. This place is truly awesome! Proprietors are an absolute national treasure! We've been coming back here every year, just got back from another great outing and starting this year we are making it a twice-yearly tradition. Try it! You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

We had a nice relaxing few days at camp David. The generator will run electricity for a small satellite tv, which was nice when it rained one evening, and it will power a coffee pot that is available at the location for your use. It got down into the 40s at night, but the propane wall heater kept us toasty all night! We tried some fishing, but the water level was very low, only a few feet all the way across....still had a great time playing with our dogs in the river and relaxing in the sun by the water. Camp chairs and Adirondack are provided, as well as multiple comfortable swings! We cooked dinner on the grate that swings over the fire, and drank our coffee on the beautiful porch overlooking the river. We would definitely come back!

1 night at Creekside Acres / N. Manchester
Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the entire stay. We stayed just one night, but the thoughtful touches were very much appreciated. We built a fire in the fire pit with help from Kurt as my Girl Scout days are long past. Heidi and their beautiful daughters were friendly and busy following a graduation party just the night before. The grounds are perfect in the sense of natural beauty that are tended to for enjoyment. We took advantage of the country road and walked towards town to see the covered bridge. We weren’t disappointed. Our evening after the fire was spent playing a friendly game of Battleship and I now have the title of beating my husband for the first time ever. Thankful for the time away and for Kurt and Heidi. Lovely hosts who followed a path that helps many in the perfect way. Oh and those chickens! The fresh eggs! Worth every single moment.

David was caring enough that he surprised us with a lit campfire since he knew we wanted to eat as soon as we got there. Nice and quiet area except for the river; a lot of canoes and kayaks went by.

Stayed here with some friends and their two dogs, us our two as well. It was a one night stay and it was a gloomy, rainy weekend. But still so peaceful and enjoyable. Plenty of space to tent camp near the river and space for dogs to roam safely. We really enjoyed this space and David’s hospitality is unmatched.
