We had a great time at Sleek Acres! The area was well-kept, cutely decorated, and had nice amenities. The hosts even met us happily at a late hour to show us our site and answer questions.

Earl the host was great. He responded immediately to a difficulty with water. He was everything one wants in a host and more. The site was excellent and the views in all direction was great. The sandy beach, pond and the ducks were very relaxing to watch in the comfortable glider. Recommend a stay when in area.

Very beautiful and secluded, private spot with plenty of room. Very well equipped with all the utensils you might need for camping! Owners were promptly responding to messages. Although it was a last minute booking, it was a breeze!

Our family had an amazing experience at this campsite! The campsites are very clean and so spacious. The kids had a blast fishing in the pond and exploring all the nature around us. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making our stay even better. We highly recommend this campsite for a fun and relaxing family getaway!

This site is really really great for experienced campers. Has everything you really need, camp toilet is not my fav though but hey if you’re used to pooping in the woods it’s better than that! It’s very private which is so nice, and the pond and fountain are adorable! They provide so much cooking/other equipment too that is very helpful. At night it does get extremely buggy, so bring plenty of heavy duty bug spray. Nora and Simon are very responsive hosts! Would definitely recommend for more experienced campers, my husband and I will always remember camping together for the first time here for our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Earl & Lisa's land is a very nice place to camp. They take good care of everything and are very friendly. The campsites are well laid out and the bathroom & shower were very clean.

Loved the escorted entry by a cute mini car looking type of golfcart. I followed them into the dark star filled campground barely lit with twinkly lights to indicate campsights on the plush grassy grounds. Fully stocked complimentary firewood, tables, late checkout option and fabulous big private shower, as well as an outside sink for washing dishes. Shade trees at nearly every site as well as firepit with grill on most. Definitely recommend taking a walk along the property easy hiking trails with blackberries in the way back. Extremely friendly hosts with farm fresh eggs for purchase. I got 1/2 dozen for $2 and they were amazing. My service dog was ecstatic to have her run of the place because there weren't any other dogs at the time. Very pet friendly place with ducks swimming on a little pond. Adirondack chairs were pond side to sit and gaze at them if you so choose. Just absolutely charming. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Earl & Lisa were incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond throughout our stay! We had privacy on our site, and room for three tents, while being close to the bathroom and pond. We enjoyed farm fresh eggs and a large load of firewood that we were able to add on while at the site. We loved feeding the ducks/fish, playing cornhole and lawn games in the common area, and relaxing at the campsite in the shade. Bathroom was incredibly clean, and we appreciated the outdoor sink and garbage can. We had a great two nights and would absolutely return!

Great spot for an overnight. Would be a fun place to rent out the entire place and do a family reunion. Wonderful shower and bathroom! Only downside was the highway and train noise. Otherwise fantastic. The camp hosts are wonderful.

Nicole and her husband were super nice and helpful! Gave us a tour of the property, the fishing dock and the pool were really nice. The bathroom/shower was a plus also. Culver was super close that had great lake views and coffee! Would definitely stay again.

The property is absolutely beautiful, and the hosts are just as amazing! Extremely sweet and active around the property. They checked in with us a few times during our stay to make sure my dog and I were comfortable in the extreme heat we had, even offered AC to help keep us cool! All around amazing experience! Cant wait till I can book another camping trip here soon!!

Weekend Trip to Lochloosa River Retreat

We loved our weekend camping trip at Lochloosa River Retreat! The entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. We stayed at the River View camp site and weren’t disappointed. Perfect view of the Tippecanoe River from atop a high hillside with a nice camp area that was mostly private. The weather was hot but we enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub which made it much more pleasant. We booked a kayak trip for the late morning and were driven to the starting point by both Nicole and her husband Jack. She gave us clear instructions about what to look for and approximately how long our trip would take. A recent storm may have caused some fallen trees that might have blocked our trip but luckily we had no issues. The wildlife was abundant and the serene landscape was just what we needed. We bought some firewood for our nightly campfires and enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast cooked over an open fire. The goats and chickens were a treat for this former farm kid. If I had to make any suggestions it would be for a portable toilet near the wooded sites as it’s a bit of walk to the restrooms and showers, but otherwise everything was great! We hope to return again and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Thanks Nicole and Jack for being wonderful hosts!

We had such a lovely time during our night at this charming private campsite! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. The highlight for our kids was definitely the small pond – they spent their time fishing, watching the ducks and spotting turtles! The shower and toilet facilities were clean and worked perfectly. We all truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our experience tent camping on Earl and Lisa’s land! They were incredibly kind and communicative, very quick to reply to messages and accommodated us last minute too! The bathroom was very nice and clean, and it was one of the quieter campsites we’ve stayed at. We felt very safe and comfortable here. We were grateful that they welcomed our dog too as that can be tough to find. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! Thanks again Earl and Lisa!

Sleek Acres

Sleek Acres is a total of 13 acres, which includes our homestead, our chicken yard and barn, a fishing pond, and over 8 secluded acres to the back of the property where guests can explore (including walking trails). There are hungry catfish and bass in the pond who are always happy to be fed (we provide the fish food). Fishing is allowed, but catch and release only (under 12"), please! A small group of ducks live on the pond and will happily greet you as you walk to the beach. Relax at the beach in the morning as you enjoy your coffee and watch the fish, ducks, and turtles swim in the pond. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided at each site. A small amount of firewood is provided, and additional firewood is available for purchase. We have two charcoal grills available for your use. We provide a bathhouse, which includes a toilet and shower. A handwash/dishwashing station is located right outside the bathhouse. Our chickens are happy to take any food leftovers you don't want! You can walk right up to the fence and they will greet you. You may also see deer, fox, groundhogs, and many beautiful birds in the camping area. Located central to many destinations, we are 5 minutes from All-Sports Koontz Lake; 10 minutes from Plymouth, plenty of shopping and home of the Blueberry Festival (Labor Day weekend); 10 minutes from Walkerton, home of the Falloween Fest (Sept. 26, 27, 28); 25 minutes from Valparaiso; and 50 minutes from Notre Dame. The Hideaway at Cooper Lake

The Hideaway is located on private property in Otis, Indiana. Two canvas tents line our man made, creek fed lake. The lake is over 6 acres and approximately 35 ft deep. The lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and other fish perfect for fishing. Wildflowers and natural paths are available for walking and scenic photoshoots. The property is near the toll road. Some guests do not notice the noise others have been more sensitive to it. There is space for each site to have privacy, or just a short walk to each if you are booking both. Each site has their own shower, flushing port-o-john, fire pit, dining area. There is a shared space near the lake which includes lounging furniture. We proudly do not have wifi and encourage our guests to unplug and relax!
