The upstairs second floor of the home has its own access and is separate from the rest of the house. Three private bedrooms share bathrooms and a porch/living room with a fabulous view. Completely renovated in 2023. This included adding a shared kitchenette, remodeling each bedroom, the bathroom and adding a powder room. Across the deck is the cottage. The newly remodeled suite features a king bed, cotton sheets, a convenient kitchenette, ADA friendly bathroom, private patio and deck.

Such a beautiful place to stay the weekend. Upon arrival i met Debbie and their sweet lab i believe was named Buster who showed me around the whole campground. Later on in the day i met her husband Larry. Both were just so friendly and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Its a very clean and peaceful campground that sits on a large lake perfect for fishing. One of the nicest camp grounds ive stayed at. We will 100% be back. Thank you Debbie and Larry for your kind hearted hospitality

I’ve camped out here twice while working in the area, but will undoubtedly make this beautiful place a destination in itself in the future. Completely peaceful, nothing but nature sounds at night. The hosts are the nicest people you’ve ever met…I enjoyed great conversations both visits, and Debbie even made a point of taking a trip from their house down to the campsite to share some freshly picked tomatoes. This place is really something special. I can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I did one night of car camping at this camp site. It was really peaceful and private. The restrooms and bathroom were clean and well kept. There were even basketball court and volleyball courts! Larry kindly helped us with starting the campfire and Debbie provided us with clear instructions on parking and logistics. It was our first car camping experience so I was worried at first that we may not be comfortable for the night. Larry and Debbie made sure that the campsite was clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend this site. Thank you for this experience!

This camping property was beyond incredible! From the moment we arrived, Robyn’s kindness and warmth made the entire experience unforgettable. When we realized our initial site was closer to the house than we expected, she didn’t hesitate to help. She immediately offered us a more private, supported site, making sure we were completely comfortable.
Robyn truly went above and beyond—she brought us fresh eggs, got us worms for fishing, let us use the paddle boat, and even personally drove us to go kayaking down the river! She was so thoughtful, sweet, and accommodating every step of the way.
Her genuine care and hospitality made our trip so special. We felt so welcomed the entire time, and we definitely plan on coming back. This place, and Robyn, are simply the best!

The property was a pleasant surprise for being in a rural area. It was nice to have options of river access for kayaking or a salt water pool to reside in. It was clean. If you’re a tent camper your areas appeared nicely spaced out. If you have an RV you will be at the entrance just off the road (which was rarely traveled). Wide open places if you were to have a group you would have the front all to yourselves. Kayaking on the river was fun. It was a nice couple of days.

And everything was beautiful and wonderful. There was ample firewood, but the logs were huge. Hard to carry and impossible to put in the fire. I only brought a hatchet and not an ax so I really couldn't split the wood. But we burned it anyway, our fires were a little bit ridiculous with the size of the logs.
The boats were great, the grounds were perfect, the pit toilets were as good as can be, and my friends that took showers said that the showers were fantastic. Our hosts were very genial.

We camped in the off grid lake side sites. The entry driveway has a row of pine trees on either side that are overtaking the driveway itself making it tight to get a vehicle through without scratching the sides of it through the pine boughs. But once you get through that, it is totally worth the effort! This campground is pretty rustic and very peaceful. The camp sites are spacious and have fantastic views of the lake. The wildlife is incredible. We saw turtles, frogs, geese, swans, ducks, turkey, deer and a beaver! The hostess and her husband are two of the friendliest people you will ever meet and were sure to make us feel very welcome and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything. We had a very relaxing weekend and look forward to camping here again.

The entry driveway has a row of pine trees on either side that are overtaking the driveway itself making it tight to get a vehicle through without scratching the sides of it through the pine boughs. But once you get through that, it is totally worth the effort! This campground is pretty rustic and very peaceful. The camp sites are spacious and have fantastic views of the lake. The wildlife is incredible. We saw turtles, frogs, geese, swans, ducks, turkey, deer and a beaver! The hostess and her husband are two of the friendliest people you will ever meet and were sure to make us feel very welcome and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything. We had a very relaxing weekend here and look forward to camping here again.

This was my first time using this app, and the campground said it was theirs, too. Upon arriving to Black River Trails Campground I was greeted by friendly people and found out that unfortunately my site had been double booked, and the campground was experiencing a power outage!! The owners put us in a spot that was kind of make-shift, which was fine for us because we had plans in town seeing family that weekend so I knew we wouldn’t be there for the “full camping experience”. The owners brought us over a generator and tended to it, to make sure we could keep on like normal and have our fridge up and running to keep our groceries all cold. The only thing I would have changed about it is, I wish we had a fire pit and a picnic table- we didn’t get to have a fire until Saturday night because our family came to stay at a cabin on the second night, they had a fire pit, however, it was an adorable little cabin, and everything you need if you don’t want to bring a tent. There was quite a bit of poison ivy and sumac around which was only hard to keep my toddler out of, but older kids would be fine. The bathrooms were great and the showers were a bit confusing at first (hot and cold were reversed) but that’s an easy fix once you realize it! Nice and spacious for changing after showering too. The fishing was great and everyone joined in! I think that this situation can be a learning experience- and we would still definitely camp here again.
