Beautiful property! me and my friends had a lot of fun, the only thing I would recommend is if you’re getting a tent, to make sure it’s in the shade or under trees other wise your tent will get HOT and the ac won’t do much during the day. Also there are a lot of spiders so make sure to bring insect killer spray.

My husband and almost 3 year old son had a blast at Rabbit Run! The 20 foot yurt had a bed, inflatable futon, cute inflatable orange chair, two end tables, and a chest with more blankets. Sam was amazing and gave us a fan and some portable battery packs because it was a hot, 90 degree day.
The site is tucked into the forest and we drove past it multiple times because it's so hidden! There's a massive hammock, table with chairs, and a fire pit. We were able to cook breakfast in the morning.
It unfortunately rained most of the night after 7pm, which Sam warned us about. But we stayed warm and dry in the yurt and the sound of the rain was enchanting and helped us sleep.
The Learning Center was a short walk away. There was a bathroom with a shower, some toys for our kiddo, and a fridge for our food. They have pizza nights most Saturdays, but not on 4th of July weekend.
We went on the farm tour in the morning and our son got to play with goats, sheep, and dogs and see chicks and chickens. Seeing him so happy was easily my favorite part of the trip!
The campsite is 40 minutes away from Starved Rock, but we didn't go because it would have been so crowded on the holiday. Next time!
Thank you for such a wonderful getaway, only 2 hours away from Chicago! We needed it.

The whole experience was amazing! Sam has so much knowledge and gives us hope that when most farmers follow this model, our food supply will be healthier, sustainable and long-lasting. We can grow together as a better community and the new generations will thrive even more. I'm coming back soon and will continue to support in any way I can. 😀

We had a great time on the farm! Our kids loved playing with the animals, spent hours on the playground, and cooled off on a hot day by wading in the nearby creek. And we all enjoyed Sam’s informative and entertaining sunset tour around the property. As an added treat, we were there on a day when U-pick blueberries were open - some of the best we have had! The tent was plenty big for 2 adults/2 kids, and had everything we needed for an easy and comfortable stay.

Sam was kind enough to let us camp in a different tent than what we had reserved due to the extreme heat. All the sites were beautiful and had different views of forests or gardens.
Sam let us feed the goats which the kids loved!
The only bummer was the zipper of our yurt was busted and we were nervous about animals or bugs getting in. We were able to work with it though!
Sam is a great host on a beautiful piece of land. This was our second trip there and we would love to return again!

We stayed in the Paw Paw yurt, and the spot was incredible; private, with the perfect mix of sun and shade. The deep forest ravine behind us created a peaceful, immersive backdrop that made it easy to connect with nature, especially on the summer solstice. The farm itself is a great learning opportunity for all but our favorite adventure was the U Pick blueberry experience.

Weekend Trip to Glamping+Goats+Gardens 175Acre Farm
What an amazing solo experience this was! I decided to treat myself to a peaceful weekend glamping on a beautiful farm compound, and it truly delivered. Staying in a tent gave me that rustic, nature-connected feel, while still enjoying the comforts that come with glamping.
One of the highlights was the personal interaction with the animals on the property…such a special and grounding experience. The entire farm is absolutely stunning, and I already can’t wait to come back with my kids.
A couple of pro tips: if you’re staying in the forest area like I did, definitely pack extra bug spray. And since the main bathrooms are a bit of a walk from the tent sites (especially at night!), I’d recommend bringing a portable toilet if you’re not a fan of midnight treks through the woods—especially if bugs aren’t your thing.
All in all, this stay recharged me, brought me closer to nature, and gave me memories I’ll never forget. 🌙🌲🐐

My girlfriend and I had an amazing one-night stay in Rabbit Run on Sam’s farm! Upon being greeted, we felt our presence was very welcomed and wanted. Our site felt very private, but still within only footsteps of the bathroom and communal area. Sam is very friendly, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable (take the farm tour!!). 10/10 cannot wait to book another stay!

Great place to camp for small and large groups. Tents are close enough together that groups can easily meet up, but far enough you don't feel ontop of other campers. They have all the amenities that you need to entertain kids and adults, including bikes, playground, volleyball, basketball, and communal areas with books and games. They have an interesting tour of the Farm and it is fun to explore. Tent included a table, couch, queen bed, rugs, solar lights and a portable battery for charging. Outside was a shaded table, hammock, firepit with grill. Water is available through a hose on the side of the building.
The only recommendation I would have would be for the farm to install more bathrooms/showers/sinks. There is some pit toilets outside, but there is only one bathroom with a sink/shower for the whole farm so it can be difficult to share when there are large groups. Even having one more sink somewhere would have been helpful.

We really enjoyed the stay in Sunrise Tent we were first guests staying in this tent and it was neat and clean, there are improving some areas and there going to install another tents but still accesible to the learning center where there is a bathroom you can use 24/7. Staying in this place you can disconnect your mind from stress of the city and get connections with nature and realize what is real life, we loved the peaceful place. We tasted pizza baked with real wood and organic tomatoes was delicious. If you are Nature Lover this is the place you should go just be prepared with all necessary stuff to camp and enough food. I was no afraid of my children run and play around there because no dogs are allowed so, you can walk and sleep peacefully. I strongly recommend this place. The host was kind. Thank you and I hope return with more guests to your Farm!!!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay as it was the best parts of camping without any of the bad. Saturday pizza night was so yummy and we had a farm tour right before which was very fun. The power bank that was provided did die after a couple of hours so do plan accordingly. I assume it was just new and wasn’t charged fully before being given to us though. Would stay again:)

Staying at Hungry world farms was a completely rejuvenating experience. I stayed in the Garden View Yurt with my girlfriend over the weekend and it was a wonderful time. The Yurt has a comfy bed, outlets, a couch, fans, and even a heater. It felt luxurious but still connected to nature. Sam is the executive director and is an amazing guy! We received a wonderful tour of their regenerative farming, through explanations of why it works, goat cuddles and a truly fun sunset hike. We will definitely be returning to check out more things and possibly even volunteer. 100/10 would recommend :)
