Enjoy direct lake access for ATVs, perfect for exploring the shoreline and surrounding terrain. Please note: during periods of high water, beach access may be unavailable. There is no on-site boat launch, but public ramps are just a short drive away. While the property offers direct lake access, it’s approximately a 1,000-foot walk to the back gate leading to the lake. When the beach is exposed, there may be an additional walk or ATV ride across the sand, depending on water levels. The lake in this area is very shallow for several hundred feet, making it ideal for easy wading and kid-friendly fun. Please note: there are a couple of shallow ditches on the property that may occasionally hold standing water. These have never posed an issue, but we recommend keeping an eye on young children just to be safe. Please note that FIREWORKS are not allowed. With plenty of space to spread out and no crowded campgrounds in sight, this spot is ideal for RVers and campers seeking peace, privacy, and unforgettable views.

Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

We have extended our tent pad to be able to add up to 4 big tents measuring roughly 40x17-18. Please be honest about the number of guests that are coming max is 20, if you want more than that don't hesitate to get in touch with me separately. Mostly cause I clean and want to ensure it's clean for the next camper. This tent site is PACK IN PACK OUT. I don’t have city services, If you need trash services It's $7.50 per TRASH BAG that I need to take out. Outhouse is a pit toilet but I make sure it does not stink and is extremely clean. I only have it listed as 1 place so you can have a family reunion or just come as a family. When you come to our place we have an accenting driveway, and a large boulder retaining wall with a gray gate to keep the camp secured and keep range cows out. This property is a working homestead. YOU WILL SEE ANIMALS and US working especially if you hike up the main road where we live. WE HAVE separation however we are still needing to manage the land and the animals. The campsite we don't enter, but we have to access the main road to run errands or go to work. We do our own thing and the campers do their own thing. If you are curious about the farm and operations we are happy to show you around and you are welcome to explore but you WILL RUN INTO us :) we don't mind as long as you don't mind. Bring your toys, such as bikes, 4-wheelers, and ATVs we have some fun trails close by that go to the back of Worm Creek Basin that goes on for miles of beautiful trails.

This place was great. It worked great for our family reunion. Because of some older mobility issues we chose to.use the upper grassy area for most of our cooking and hanging out but the firepit was awesome in the evenings. It was nice to be a little rambunctious into the evening without worrying too much about neighbors... there were several times that stray 4 wheelers would come into the property which was a concern of mine with young kids with us. I lived having a private secluded place for our family reunion. There was some construction going on so a big trench we had to keep telling kids to stay out of and a big gravel pile kids played on.

The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is an amazing place to stay, one of the few RV camps that is an attraction of its own. For people (like me) coming from an urban environment, the place feels like it comes from a movie. Here, kids can admire (and even pet) dozens of types of animals, ranging from pigs to goats (there was even a baby buffalo)! At 20.30 daily, the animal feeding show starts, and the host, Shayna, will introduce the participants through each of the animals, explaining their name, their story and what they eat. Then participants can offer to feed each animal and pet them. Since the animals have been raised since they were young with a lot of human interaction, they are absolutely docile, and we always felt safe. Finally, the host, Shayna, is extremely welcoming and caring. So it is guaranteed you'll have a great time! Finally, for shopping for fresh fruits, I recommend the nearby Edith's Collective Florist. Very tasty stuff for reasonable prices.

We were satisfied with the camp site, the lake is beautiful as well as the surrounding area. The hosts where super nice and accommodating and we were happy with our stay. The campground has what you need; water, toilets and warm showers however I was disappointed to find out that even though the listing specifically stated every camp site has their own water access this was not true at all. There is a water spigot at each bathroom which is around maybe every 4-5 camp site so you do have to go find one. This was not much of an issue for us just something any new campers should know.

Site 7 was great! Super private and spacious, the only complaint I’d give is the thorn bushes all over but those were more so annoying than anything, but they wouldn’t stop me from coming back to this campground. The showers were warm, and it was nice to have potable water on the site. Great camping site!

Having the hammock poles at camp was really nice! There was less flat room than other sites, so if you’re also considering a tent, make sure it’s a small one. We just camped in our cars and it was fine. We weren’t able to use the fire pit as a wild wind storm rolled through, but it was there to use. We enjoyed our stay!

We are located right off of highway 30. If you are coming in off of I15 you will continue on highway 30 passing Lava Hot Springs. You will see the KOA East on your right hand side. This is grain bin glamping. Expect it to be like camping except for not in a tent.. there is power enough for lights and to power your devices. The temperatures are the same as inside a tent. I have 2 bins available that sleeps 2 each. There is a porta potty next to each one. There will be outdoor showers, but currently the shower bathroom, it's up at the barn. This is still under development, so more will be added with every grain bin having it's own unique personality. This is also the best views of bear lake that you can get. This area of the property often as deer rabbits, and sometimes even moose strolling through it. No wood fires during the summer months, as it's too dry. I will provide a gas fire for an extra cost.

This has become a great place for our family to go to get away for the weekends. The nights are absolutely beautiful and you can see the stars. You can hear the coyotes off in the distance chipping and howling. My kids love to ride their ATV on the trails and we go for hikes and just relax. There is one fire pit for use at each camp spot (2 spots), just please go into the trees and find some wood to re-stack what you have used and ensure it is out with water and dirt. I fight wildfires during the summer and don’t want to have to fight one up there. Plus I may be hard to reach depending on where I’m located. Learn more about this land: Our Bear Lake Bascamp is perfect for boondocking or pitch a tent and camp in our 5 acres meadow or find a small shady spot in the 5 acres of  quakies and pine trees!  Off grid camping! OHV trails (ride from camp), bring your mountain bikes or even just go for a hike. Located at the edge of the Caribou-Targhe National Forest, Montpelier Ranger District, Idaho. The sunrises are amazing and in the evening you can listen to the coyotes off in the distance. It is open in the winter for snowshoeing or snowmobiling in with wood ready for the fire pit!  Recommend, that when you first arrive, build a small fire in the fire pit and the smoke will get rid of any of the bugs around.  We get up there about 1 time a month and mow/trim the path, parking and work on the trails in the pines.   Turn left at the smile face....When you see it, you'll know what I mean ;)  Please be respectful of others who have property in the area as well.  Don't climb over anyone's fences.

It is a working farm, and so you will see us feeding the baby calves, and lambs, irrigating the fields, harvesting and hauling hay as we go about our day. We work hard on the farm but we also know how to play hard. Crazy Cow Farm Adventures has a fun hay chopper wagon ball game, peddle cart track (lots of fun for all ages), and farmyard laser tag. All of these fun activities can be purchased along with your night stay. Contact us for reservations and prices. The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is the perfect place to unwind and become renewed. The Blue Goose is the old saloon that has been restored and turned into a little store, right here in Samaria just a few blocks from Crazy Cow Farm Adventures. Samaria is located near several reservoirs, where those that love to fish, can go enjoy the water. Yellowstone is just a few hours away, while Downata and Lava Hot Springs are both just a few minutes away. Malad City, Idaho is just a short ten minute drive and you can find the grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, and all the other comforts from home there.

Possibly because we made it from scratch, spending days harvesting the wood, scribing the boards, bringing the vision to life. Possibly because it's a compost toilet that doesn't stink.
