Weekend Trip to The Mendoza Ranchette

Arte & Alexandra were great hosts! Communication was super clear, so we had no problem finding our spot and settling in for a quick overnight stay. We appreciated their flexibility with our arrival timing. We had an easy level spot with hookups if desired. This was the perfect stop after visiting nearby Shoshone Falls. Thanks Arte & Alexandra!

What a beautiful place...stayed there for one night on our way from Washington State to the Zion. Plenty of space for a big rig...we have a 27ft but can definitely accommodate a bigger one since it has plenty of space to turn around. We had water in our trailer already and only used the power but had sewer as well. Was great to wake up to a beautiful view! Denise is a great host!

Weekend Trip to Country Camping close to town

Linda was super gracious when I arrived after dark and made sure I had everything I needed. The tent space was far enough away that I felt alone, but not too far. There is some road noise, but it is "close to town!" That said, I was very comfy, slept like a log and woke up refreshed. Also, one of their cats became my pal 😊. Willl stay again when I'm passing thru.

She was very communicative the entire time! Responded back immediately, and the place was easy to find. We loved hanging with the dog while he allowed us to do so and woke up to the most beautiful sunrise and went to bed to the most beautiful sunset..

Brittany was great, she made the extra effort to make sure I had what I needed. The spot had more songbird sounds than anywhere I have ever been and falling asleep to their songs was a treat. I hope I can come back there soon.

Decent night stay. We were traveling through Twin Falls, and wanted a place we could plug in, do a quick hike in the Snake River canyon, then hit the road in the morning. This checked all the boxes. Good communication, and nice level spot.

Linda and Shane are wonderful hosts. They are very flexible and accommodating. I would recommend this campsite to anyone who wants to have a country side feeling with nice views.

Host was great at communicating throughout stay. Although you are parking near their residence, it felt very private as the host gave us ample space the entire stay.

A quiet nice safe place to camp close to Twin Falls. The site was a little muddy and we ended up using our leveling blocks. They offered us their well water which was very nice but ended up it was too cold in the morning for us to use but we didn't really need it anyway.

Enjoy the manicured landscape, horses grazing in the pasture, and from July to October enjoy picking cherries, raspberries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, and apples. We are 7min from I-84 and 7min from Twin Falls and its many attractions: Perrine Bridge, Snake River Canyon, Centennial Park, Shoshone Falls, Dierkes Lake. Enjoy local wineries and farm to table restaurants nearby. We allow dogs and horses! Our property is not fenced for dogs. Dogs to be well mannered or leashed during your stay. For RVs / Travel Trailers - - Our primary site has water and full 50amp service. We are able to provide a converter for from 30 to 50amp for this spot. - Our secondary spot is a covered RV Bay with water and 30amp service. This spot is large enough for the tallest 5th wheels and your slide outs. - Utilities are $35/night. We do not allow generators. For Tent / Car Camping - - Our primary spot for tent camping is on the front lawn, alongside the house. - We have a 1/2 bathroom with a toilet and sink available We are a private home, not a public RV park or campground, which means we, the owners, live on the property and occasionally work here during the day, including in our shop where the shared half bathroom is located. While this bathroom is a shared amenity, it is not a requirement for us to provide it. We offer several spots for our guests and may host more than one party at a time. Arrivals are flexible, allowing guests to arrive at their convenience. Our goal is to provide a beautiful, relaxing country stay for all our guests to enjoy equally. We ask that each guest be mindful that, because the bathroom is in the shop, the shop may occasionally be in use for property maintenance as needed. We also ask that each guest be respectful of others who may be staying with us. If at any time your stay does not meet your expectations, please don't hesitate to call us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to our pasture oasis! Our property is 4 miles down the road from BLM, where you are able to do any outdoor activities you desire. Personally, I love to ride horses and hike there. You may be greeted by horses or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). If you are a horse or dog lover, you are able to interact with our animals on the property! I am on the property, as well, for any questions/issues/concerns. There is a runoff river that runs through the property but, rarely has water, however, it has amazing lava rock (similar to Black Magic Canyon which isn’t far away); We also like to use it for campfires! Please reach out with questions and we look forward to your visit! Check out all of our extras! Site can accommodate multiple trailers, it does have two RV power hookups equipped with both 30 and 50 amp breakers, but to use both hookups you must pay for the two sites available. There is only once hydrant with city water, with a splitter so it accommodates both RV spots. Location is about 0.8 miles from the center of town where you can enjoy multiple restaurants, shops, coffee shop, wine tasting, bars and the grocery store. Nearby Activities: - Swimming, Kayaking and Paddle Board at Billingsley Creek - Kayaking/Paddle Boarding, Boating on the Snake River (Blue Heart Springs, 1000 Springs, Banbury, Ritter Island, Waterfall Views) - Motorcycle Trails nearby - Banbury Hot Springs - Miracle Hot Springs - 1000 Springs Pool - Hagerman Walking/Biking Path - Box Canyon a short drive away Town houses many rental companies for bikes, kayaks, etc. Pet friendly, however, adjacent pasture frequently has livestock so please be responsible with your animals. Looking for a stopover place with plenty of parking space? Maybe our site will be a match for you and your RV! (If your rig is not fully self-contained, please note that we do not offer facilities of any kind. You will need a privacy tent for your own portable restroom.) Our house and shop and a few other outbuildings sit on 3.5 acres on a dead-end dirt lane, and we have space we'd be open to sharing with you. We have updated our listing (May 2024) to accommodate your preferably-fully-self-contained unit in our side yard area only (because of irrigation timing in the back-yard area, we are no longer offering that area for your stay). Your parking/dry-docking space in our side yard boasts several large trees and some shade. There are some branches to navigate but there is ample space to choose your perfect spot. The site runs alongside our driveway so our vehicles will obviously be visible from your parking spot but there is plenty of room there for your extra vehicle(s) in our driveway as well. This spot has very little privacy because it is set back from our dirt lane and in between our home and our neighbor’s shed (but they are family). But it is peaceful and safe (and we are very close to "town" and all the conveniences of such). Being almost next to the Snake River, and having a natural marsh just to the North of our property, mosquito repellant is highly recommended during certain times of the year. We are just a few miles (5 mins or so) from the freeway, Walmart, restaurants, and public access to the Snake River (boating, fishing, swimming), and golfing. We have three friendly dogs (lab, Yorkie, pug-chihuahua) but we have an underground fence system so they will generally be out of your area (with a few exceptions) and most likely in our house much of the time. (Must love dogs. ♥️) IF YOU HAVE DOGS, please keep them on a leash and clean up after them appropriately, thanks!

There is very little noise and traffic and the night sky is amazing!!We're located one mile from US-93 and 10 minute driving distance to Twin Falls for fun shopping, great bars and restaurants, and historic hotsprings within the area. Just a mile up the road are the fish ponds, a great place to explore and get the catch of the day or head down to the Snake River for more water related opportunities. There are nice parks nearby and great opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, ATV and dirt biking, biking and running trails, boating, kayaking, rock climbing, skiing or snow boarding. There is excellent outdoor recreation any season of the year. The great Snake River canyon is 2 miles away with nearby Nationally Recognized Shoshone Falls, the Niagra of the West, with a drop of nearly 500 feet.We truly live in an amazing part of the world! Nearly every day of the year you can watch the BASE jumpers from the Perrine bridge, one of the only legal places in the country. You name it, you can do it here. We're only a few hours from Yellowstone National Park and historic Sun Valley is 90 mins north or the famous City of Rocks rock climbing area can be found south of here.About 45 minutes to an hour north of here is Craters of the Moon National Monument for some excellent caving hiking and exploring.We use this area for storing vehicles or riding toys so please be respectful of our homes and the neighbors.
