Nestled just 5 miles east of the Moran Entrance to Grand Teton National Park, our campground offers a unique gateway to breathtaking mountain scenery and abundant wildlife. Jackson Lake, the largest lake in the Teton range, measures nearly 15 miles in length. This natural lake expanded significantly after being dammed in the early 1900s. While the western shore is only reachable by boat, the eastern shore can be accessed from Signal Mountain and Colter Bay. Jackson Lake is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, and boating, with seasonal marinas at both Colter Bay and Signal Mountain offering boat rentals. The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley.   Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's.  Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's.  My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917.  They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay.  Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses.  In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River.  It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho.  This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean.  Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights.  Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.Learn more about this land:Located 1 mile from Victor, Idaho along the Old Jackson Highway. We had the absolute best view of Tetons from Robin's spot! Robin was the absolute best, most generous host checking up on ys during a storm and even providing a campfire one night! Having this view, electricity, water and solitude while very close to restaurants, GTNP is amazing!

We stayed a couple of nights here and enjoyed it! It was easy to get to and directions to our spot were clear. It’s secluded and quiet, but also offers a small bar (dogs are allowed inside!) and general store. We will definitely be back!

Even the dog loved the sunset over the Tetons!

Great 3 day stay at this great location that had all we needed for a perfect base camp to explore The Grand Tetons and surrounding areas. If you are looking for a great location at a clean and friendly spot, this one fits the. There is even a spot where you can see the sun set over the Tetons. Gas station/Mini Market is also around the corner for quick and easy fill up or last minute needs.

What an absolutely beautiful location with direct views of the Teton peaks! Enjoyed an absolutely beautiful sunrise right outside the camper! Robin was a wonderful host, came out to welcome us, let us feed her horses and was very personable. We explored the back side of the Tetons (15-20 min drive) and also drove to Jackson (1 hour drive) and explored the other side during our stay. Would def park our camper here again!

The website made it look large with no trees, but there are two sides to the property and we were in the smaller side with trees and a horse farm behind. Very picturesque and could see the Teton peaks from the site. Friendly staff and good location to the north entrance of the the National Park. We would definitely return.

Dave checked in shortly after we showed up to see if we needed anything! We had a nice stay while visiting Grand Teton. It’s a bit of a drive back and forth each day but it’s nice to be in a slower paced area each evening. There’s no services at the spot but there is an rv dump site at the closest gas station (Sinclair I think)
