This property fronts Kelso Lake, which is a motorboat free 55 acre lake located half way between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, just a 15 minute drive to Silverwood Theme Park. This is the ideal spot to spend time kayaking, catching up around the campfire, fishing, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. If you keep your eyes peeled you may see blue heron’s, bald eagles, and if your quiet the beaver may swim past and say hello!
This property is a half acre at the edge of the Kelso Lake community. This property is ideally located less than a 20 min drive to Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Oreille, Bayview, and Silverwood Theme Park.
If you are trailer camping you will have to back in from the public roadway up an incline to access the spot. If you aren't comfortable backing your trailer in this spot might not be for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There is a fire ring, a picnic table, tiki bar, decks, chairs, and an outhouse. There is a trail down to the dock where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. New this season, 4 kayaks included with your stay!! The property is situated on the end of the lake with lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road! If you have an electric boat motor you are more than welcome to use it but no motor boats are allowed on this lake.

Hello friends! We are a small organic family farm enjoying life in the woods. We have 25 acres of pasture and forest for you to enjoy. Rv hookup has water and power in the pasture. There is a fire pit with wood for you upon arrival. It is just a short two minute walk to our goats, chickens and turkeys. Collect some farm fresh eggs from the coop for breakfast or go forage some mushrooms in the backyard forest. There is tons of wildlife on the farm and you may even wake to some deer out your camper window, as they love to bed down in the pasture at night. Beaver Bay was such a beautiful and fun place for a weekend camping trip with the fam. Kids and our dog had plenty of space to play and explore, and the kayaks were a great addition so we all had the opportunity to paddle on the lake. The water a ways out from the dock is pretty deep which was so refreshing for a quick swim! There was more than enough space for our trailer, two tents, and three cars. The extra table made a nice camp kitchen area. There are a few neighbors nearby, which was no problem especially with the privacy fencing and trees, we were more than able to relax and enjoy the outdoors peacefully. At night, you can hear train horns as they pass through nearby, which didn’t bother us but if you’re sensitive to that you might consider ear plugs if you’re tent camping. Thanks for sharing this spot with us, we hope to visit again soon!

We had such a great time at this spot. Unfortunately the smoke is bad right now but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. The view is incredible, super clean port-a-potty and everything was very clearly laid out for us to effectively utilize the site. We are definitely coming back again! Not buggy this time of year except for some yellow jackets.

My husband, our 4 year old son, and myself tent camped at Stephen’s place for one night before a trip to Silverwood. We loved the included kayaks and thoughtful outdoor furniture throughout the campsite.
Our only “complaint” would be the bathrooms— the permanent one didn’t seem to be working properly, and the port-a-potty desperately needed to be serviced!
We know that it’s a rarity to find a campground with clean, nice smelling toilets, though, so it didn’t affect our stay all that much.
It felt private, even though it’s right next to a well-traveled road, and it was pretty quiet at night— nothing but crickets!
We had a great night camping here and recommend it.

Beautiful camping spot, enjoyed our stay.
What I didn’t like was the barking dogs across the street, seems like they never stop barking.
Also I think they need to take better care of the bathroom facilities. I might of hit it at a bad time because last time I was there the bathroom was great! Over all it was great enjoyed kayaking on this beautiful peaceful lake.

Absolutely Amazing HipCamp! Loved all the extras Beaver Bay has to offer! AND the view!!!!!! No cell service, just nature, kayaking, and quality time with family. The kids ran wild (in the best way), we paddled until sunset, and the world felt quieter in all the right ways.
