You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. The Payette River is great for rafting, while Banks Beach and Beehive Bend are just some of the prime access points on the forest’s 250 lakes and reservoirs (Arrowrock Reservoir has surprisingly primo salmon fishing for central Idaho).
Hikers will find 500 trails, including some that lead to 360-panoramic views at fire lookouts. The ambitious should try 10,000-foot high Trinity Mountain, while more liesurely trekkers will get just as good a view at Silver Creek. As if that’s not all enough to keep you busy, there are also endless mountain biking trails, including a scenic route along Shafer Butte. You’ll have your hands full at this intersection of so many great parks!

It's a little difficult to pound tent stakes into the ground due to the ground mostly being rock underneath the wood chips, but we managed it a couple times!
The spot is clean and the hosts were nice.

I took my wife and kids here for a night of camping and let me tell you. My kids had a wonderful time in the canoes in the pond. The camp site was very clean, the porta potty was very clean. It was a very wonderful time having a camp fire and spending quality time with my family. I will definitely be booking again.

15 ft pop-up camper
We were traveling through Boise late at night and needed a camp site for our pop up camper. This turned out to be a real gem of a find. We camped next to babbling brook (the “Willows” site) with easy access to a pond and portable toilet. Everything was well maintained and the price can’t be beat. Just a few miles off the highway. The owner was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view and cool setup. This was on someone's private land and was quite and peaceful. The RV was great to use. The dog was so sweet. She did love snacks and did poop in my area but its fine. I love dogs. Other then that is was comfortable and convenient. Had porta potty and a trash can to use was very clean and well maintained.

We reserved twp of the four spaces at Cagle cove for a birthday party for my daughter. All the teenage girls absolutely loved it down there! we had a GREAT weekend! Beth was an Amazing and helpful host! We will definitely be back again for another "in-town" trip!

My wife and I loved this campsite! It had a picnic table with an umbrella, a fire pit and they sold fire wood. They have the sweetest dog named Lilly that loved our pup and they had a blast. The pond is awesome and they have boats and inflatable tubes to take out. It was very secluded and you felt like you were far away, even though it was easily accessible and only took us 30 minutes from south Nampa. We had an amazing time and will definitely return!

Very clean and quiet - there were other campers closer than I expected, but everyone was respectful. Easy to find and the host is very responsive to communication. Fun little spot for fishing, floating, swimming, sunbathing - even room to play some cornhole. Good sized fire rings and wood available for purchase if you need it. Picnic table provided with an umbrella. Glad we checked it out - it was great!

If you've read other reviews, Lilly the dog is famous. When asked if I wanted her crated during our visit, I said 'no'...even though my partner is not a dog guy. However, he just shared a post of him and Lilly, describing her as his camp buddy and the friendliest dog he's ever met. The facility is also great. We had it all to ourselves, which was definitely a nice vibe for two adults. We are tent campers, so we heard a concert of night critters (birds, toads, etc.) around the pond. The port-a-potty was clean. The host communicated all the essentials. What more do you need? On the way out, I grabbed some trash from the fire ring left by another camper--boo to that person. I'd definitely stay here again.

We were only here a short period of time. The area was beautiful and peaceful. Their dog was super friendly and we loved having her around the campsite. The house were very responsive and it was a nice time.

We used this as a Basecamp to attend our daughter's lacrosse games. The setting was beautiful and you can tell the owners put lots of effort into maintaining it. We had an equipment issue that was going to be an expensive fix but Beth immediately helped us with a solution! Of course, Mayor Lilly is the highlight of the camp. If my daughter plays on this area again, we will stay here!
