Nestled high in the Rocky Mountains of southeast Idaho at an elevation of 6500 ft, our yurt has magnificent views of Mt. Bonneville and the surrounding Pebble Creek Basin. Along with a handful of neighbors, within a private property recreational area, we are surrounded by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, with vehicle access from mid-May through mid-November each year. Pebble Yurt has a 30 ft diameter with a partial loft for a total of 900 ft2 of indoor living space. You will be completely off grid, but with running hot and cold water, solar electricity, and heating and cooling features. We also feature an indoor shower, sink, and composting toilet. Bring your ATV's, mountain bikes, or hiking boots to explore the Pebble Basin. Or take a short drive to Lava Hot Springs for world-class hot pools, water slides, or white water rafting. Fishing in the Portneuf River or Chesterfield Reservoir, exploring the Chesterfield historic town site, or trying out a zipline or go-cart are other local activities. Pebble Yurt was built circa 2010 by a retiring forest service employee to the highest standards. We've used that canvas to create a unique glamping experience for our guests, with the best creature comforts available in a wilderness setting.

Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

We have about a mile of river going through our property. Come float it! We have a cute barn, all the farm animals, a farm shop with meat, milk, eggs, beeswax candles, soap, tea, coffee, honey, bread and more from right here on our farm. We have a couple of good spots to stay and plenty to do. We are 5 minutes off I-15 and 18 minutes to Lava Hot springs. It's 15 minutes to a costco. Come camp here with the kids and play. We have a "bunkroom" trailer available. It is dry camp, no water or toilet but there is a port-o-potty very close. That can be available with or without power and stove capabilities as well. It has a couch and a full sized bed. We rent that nightly. Tent sites can be by our Kid Beach River area. It's close to our farm and shop but far enough away to have privacy. We canhost large groups and multiple vehicles as well as large RV's. We also are a host on www.harvesthosts.com Feel free to reach out for more info. Note that we do not allow an open flame of ANY kind unless they are in a vehicle (RV). Also, NO DOGS ALLOWED, even in your vehicle. Our dog is not good with other dogs and not all dogs are trained with all our livestock and poultry that roam free. Even if you visit with a dog in your car, we ask that you call first and park at the top so that we can secure her so she doesn't scratch your vehicle. We protect her and she protects us and our animals safety is paramount and extremely important to us. Communication is great, tell us what you want to see and do in the area, what you hope to experience while you're here and we will work to make that magic for you. We also have hosted a family reunion. We have large indoor space and seating/tables for 60 available. Contact us for more info. Farm and Hive thefarmandhive@gmail.com
