This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

After a fun filled day exploring North Idaho come and relax at The Lost Fainting Goat Ranch, an amusing name for a place we call home. There is a separate private driveway, and you will have the whole camp area to yourselves, yet we aren't far away should a need arise. You may occasionally hear us (4 busy kids, 1 fat cat, 2 friendly dogs, 1 noisy rooster and 11 happy hens yet still no fainting goats) but we want you to feel like you are in your own private sanctuary. We are offering a new furnished bell tent in a secluded area of our private property in the beautiful mountains of Sandpoint Idaho. Our camp area is along a quiet creek that is visited by deer, wild turkey, squirls and even the occasional moose. There are also those less desirable critters that live in nature like insects, and we do try and mitigate those troublemakers with screens, traps, Diatomaceous Earth and other natural means. This area of our property is off grid with a wonderful shower house built from wood milled from our own land, complete with hot water and a compost toilet. We even provide Starlink WiFi and a way to charge cell phones thanks to our solar charged batteries. There is a fire pit, comfy chairs, a beautiful picnic table, again, made from wood from our own land, and a screened in area with cooking supplies. Our family enjoys hosting guests and we enjoy meeting new people. The most common phrase we heard when we first moved here was "Welcome to Idaho!" We hope you love it here as much as we do. You’re welcome to pitch a tent or use the hammocks under the trees. There is a walking path through the woods, an outdoor clawfoot bathtub for cold plunges, and a trampoline. Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Bungalow

The cabin was great - it was a small shed converted into a cabin that had a single (full-sized? queen?) bed with a rocking chair, an armoir, and a small closet. The bathroom was an attached outhouse with sawdust to soak up waste and neutralize any smells. They provided a camping sink with 5 gallons of water, a camping gas stove, a citranella candle, and plates, bowls, and utensils. The cabin sits towards the middle of the driveway to the hosts' house and they have the friendliest dog. My son and I had a great time. Zero light pollution, no noise pollution, just fresh north Idaho air.

Headed through on a cross country road trip and found this sweet campground on the way. We rented a cabin but loved the tent sites so much that if we're passing through again, we'll take one of those. The cabin was clean, comfy and a short walk to the bathrooms. The tent sites are large, separated by nice fences and have a pavilion kitchen available that even includes a microwave. The staff was kind and helpful. I bought a couple of bundles of wood and it was delivered to our site before I walked back. The office has a small store in case you forgot some camping essentials.

lots to explore in the upper pack river valley. Our experience with Mike as a host was fantastic, very accommodating. The cottage is very cozy and has many little extras stocked insids, flashlights right where you need them if your going out in the night, board games and cards, reading material, a book on the hiking trails in the area, cutlery and the shower works great. We highly recommend this getaway. This cottage would also be a great location to have close access to hunting in the area during the season as well.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin. It is a cute and cozy space, not too far from coeur d’alene but outside the city enough to avoid the noise and city lights. The dogs felt really comfortable and were able to run around and explore. We had all the comforts of home away from home and Aran was a really welcoming and responsive host. Flying squirrel was occupied by girls ranging in age from 14 to just shy of 18. They loved their days there. I could hear the late night laughing and joyful tones of their voices. Having the small fire pit so they could make s'more was brilliant. They loved exploring the camp and leaving their fairy houses for others to enjoy. The 7B Bungalow was everything we hoped for and so much more! The detail of every little thing about Bungalow was unbelievable. All the things you could need or want while still being minimal.
