Windbreak Farm Alpacas

2 sites ¡ RVs, Tents2 acres ¡ Rigby, ID
In 2016 we decided to bite the bullet, sell our city home, and move out into the country to fulfill our dream of owning a bit of property! We lucked into a charming country home on a calming 2.5 acres. We are surrounded by 80 foot cottonwoods, with deer bounding through the neighborhood, owls frequently hooting and pheasants calling for a mate. This home is a dream come true for us! In the course of this lifestyle change, we stumbled upon the idea that we could own alpacas, one of the softest animals in the world, and our numbers are growing with crias (baby alpacas) due each year! Join us for some peaceful tranquility at Windbreak Farm Alpacas, where if the wild winds of Idaho are blowing, you can still enjoy the outdoors! Pull your camper into the quiet serene grounds of Windbreak Farm Alpacas, our camp site is shaded from the afternoon heat by 80’ cottonwoods, and the alpacas, and especially dogs will Love to Welcome you to our little piece of paradise! While you’re here discover the surrounding area's vast options for outdoor play, all within a 5-60 minute drive. We have water available to fill tanks and power is available in “Extras” for $10 per night. We also have room for 1 more small camper up to 4 vehicles in the same party. The Lucky Dawg Park

5 sites ¡ RVs, Tents2 acres ¡ Rigby, ID
Hi HipCampers. My land is pretty simple. A county home on two acres that has a large canal running down the south side of the property. I am slowly but surely doing indoor and outdoor improvements as time and money allows. My home sits on one acre and the other acre which is mostly flat and grassy is nearest the water. The canal has tall trees all along it for shade. There is a rope swing in one of the trees near the road to jump/swing into the water and another rope on the bridge to grab and get out. There are all sorts of outdoor activities 30+ minutes away. Yellowstone National Park is 2.5 hrs away. Jackson Hole is 1.5 hr away. There is world class fishing just an hour away. I am new to this and would like tips suggestions and even some help making this more comfy for campers alike. I apologize for there being a lack of signage. I am working on getting tables and fire pits in place as we speak.

Mountain View Glamping Yurt

1 site ¡ Lodging2 acres ¡ Bancroft, ID
Nestled high in the Rocky Mountains of southeast Idaho at an elevation of 6500 ft, our yurt has magnificent views of Mt. Bonneville and the surrounding Pebble Creek Basin. Along with a handful of neighbors, within a private property recreational area, we are surrounded by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, with vehicle access from mid-May through mid-November each year. Pebble Yurt has a 30 ft diameter with a partial loft for a total of 900 ft2 of indoor living space. You will be completely off grid, but with running hot and cold water, solar electricity, and heating and cooling features. We also feature an indoor shower, sink, and composting toilet. Bring your ATV's, mountain bikes, or hiking boots to explore the Pebble Basin. Or take a short drive to Lava Hot Springs for world-class hot pools, water slides, or white water rafting. Fishing in the Portneuf River or Chesterfield Reservoir, exploring the Chesterfield historic town site, or trying out a zipline or go-cart are other local activities. Pebble Yurt was built circa 2010 by a retiring forest service employee to the highest standards. We've used that canvas to create a unique glamping experience for our guests, with the best creature comforts available in a wilderness setting.
