This place was fantastic! Squeaky clean bathroom and hot shower. The parking area is beautiful and the ground was almost completely level despite what the descriptions says. We car camped very comfortably here, it was one of our favorite camping nights. It does get a little chilly during the night so bring extra blankets/clothes. Thank you Alika for hosting this property!

I loved camping at Alika’s place. It was more what I was expecting. Each camping spot has their own bathroom, everything was so clean. I love it. It is a perfect spot is you’re going to the National Park. It’s very convenient! I’ll come back!

2 nights at Starseed Ranch

Starseed Ranch was an awesome space to unplug. Our little Hale was very cute and adorable, with a nice covered porch, comfortable bed and little closet + drawers. The roof makes a lovely sound during a rain storm. We had the place to ourselves, which was lovely, but would love to see this place in full force. The outdoor kitchen and sitting areas were well maintained and ready to host a feast. Next time! Was great to see some regen ag up close. Loved our time here! Highly recommend!

I loved campervan camping here!! There was a beautiful sunset happening while I was freshening up in the outdoor shower. Very quiet and peaceful! It was just over an hour to the Haleakalā summit, so I was grateful for the extra sleep before heading to the sunrise!

Zac's place was so fun. The frogs were so fun to listen to. There was a lot of wildlife in the beautiful yard, and Zac was friendly and welcoming.

The location was convenient to HALEAKALA and to Paia where we ate dinner. The shower was a hot and clean. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. The instructions were right on point to find the house and our camp after dark. Thanks for the space.

What a beautiful campground. The pictures don't do it justice. You have one of the best views of Maui overlooking miles of coastline and a beautiful sunset.

We live on the Big Island at South Point. When doing business on the north shore we often car camp rather than drive three hours home. We’ve been to them all and this is BY FAR the best HipCamp on the island. That is really all you need to know.

Tiny house was great! Hosts were great, super friendly and knowledgeable. Neighborhood was safe to walk around. Short drive to Kona and amenities. Lanai provided extra space.

Great spot to park and sleep for the night as long as you enjoy the farm feel. Cows, chickens and all the birds to wake you up in the morning. I would definitely park here again!

Definitely try to arrived before dark, other than that is a great place, we were camping around the Big Island and at this site we found all we need at a great price. The hangout area is a plus, access to wifi and we were able to charge our batteries and phones).

The property is located on Maui island in the Kula district on the drier side of Haleakala. In days before western contact the area was heavily forested with native plants and trees and rainfall was abundant. The native Hawaiian grew bananas, taro and sweet potato. After Western contact businessmen mostly from the United States developed huge tracts of land for ranching and farming which cleared the native forests and destroyed the eco system from the mountain to the sea. Many of the Hawaiian people moved away nearer to the towns and immigrant Chinese laborers from the ranches and plantations moved in. The Chinese brought in the Wattle tree to plant for firewood as these trees grew very fast. These are the majority of the trees that you see today. As part of the Chinese immigration, the founder of modern China, Sun Yat Sen lived here for a time and planned his revolution to overthrow the last Chinese Dynasty. There is a park dedicated to him nearby.We have picnic tables a propane grill, a fire pit and a covered gazebo that is shared with 3 cabins This site is located at the 2800 ft altitude and the temperature at night can range from mid 50 to mid 60 degrees F. If you are planning to go to Haleakala, we are about 45 -60 minutes to the summit. We are also on the south side approach to Hana. There is a great restaurant for breakfast and lunch about 10 minutes away in Keokea town called Grandma's Coffee house.

We are a small 5 acre farmstead located on the beautiful Hamakua Coast. Our farm is home to a variety of animals and boasts numerous fruit trees. One of our proudest offerings is our free range chickens produce high-quality eggs. You can purchase these delicious eggs right here at the farm to enjoy for your breakfast. In addition to our chicken operation, we are also proud coffee producers. Our coffee is carefully grown and harvested on-site, ensuring a rich and flavorful cup every time. But coffee isn't the only thing we grow here. Our farm is also home to a diverse selection of fruit trees, including Jack fruit, Lychee, Longans, Avocados, Bananas, and Tangerines. However, it's important to note that the Hamakua Coast is known for its lively rooster population. One of the highlights of our farm is the stunning waterfall located near the property. Guests are welcome to hike down to this natural wonder and take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear swimming holes. It's an experience you won't want to miss. For your convenience, we offer an outdoor shower and a flushing toilet for our campers. We understand that comfort and cleanliness are important, even when enjoying the great outdoors.
