Zen Oazis in Sacred Valley

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents3 acres · Hauula, HI
A Hidden Gem- get ready to disconnect at our securely gated, spacious family farm property surrounded by towering mountains. You'll stay active: theres a lot of walking around! Ditch light polluted Honolulu and explore the north shore during the day and hear crashing waves and see hundreds of stars at night at our sites. Retreaters will have access to very basic amenities- clean cold hose showers and flush toilets. Interact with locals and other retreaters while truly surrounding yourself in a tropical jungle atmosphere. We are a completely 0 waste site- if you pack it in, pack it out :) There will not usually be someone physically present to check you in so we have made Google Doc instructions for arrival and finding the bathrooms. Recommended to bring: Water flashlight mosquito repellent shoes camera! Your stay includes: a 7 minute nature walk to community bathrooms and cold hose showers, a safe peaceful space in the community with nearby fruiting trees and bushes, and access to a semi private sandy beach, (perfect for sunset), a 15 minute stroll away. There are martial arts classes occurring on the property Mon-Fri until about 9-930 pm, so if you see some lights and people as you enter do not worry. There are sometimes events on the weekends on property so I will notify if that is the case. As there will likely not be someone physically there, we have made detailed self check in instructions on a Google Doc ! Please read our instructions carefully and please reach out to the host if you have any questions.

Waimanalo Farmstay

5 sites · Lodging, RVs5 acres · Kailua, HI
This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. You are welcome to explore the grounds and enjoy the land. Chickens roam freely, with the occasional pig sightings in the evening. We do have a fair bit of bugs and geckos. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, this might not be the place for you! Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. There are so many great beach and land activities nearby, and I'm happy to lead you in the direction of whatever you might be interested in! We are very protective of this land and town, but would love to share the space with respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. This is a working farm. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. Thank you for looking!

Secluded Mountain Farmstay

3 sites · Lodging, RVs10 acres · Waimanalo, HI
This exquisite and secluded property is located at the base of the Koʻolau mountains in Waimānalo. Surrounded by breath-taking views that will captivate and invigorate your spirit, this private property offers an experience that is one of a kind. With over 10 acres to explore, this regenerative farm is home to many fruit trees, indigenous plants, wild chickens, and other beautiful birds that you will likely spot while taking a stroll on our nature path. We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it. For an added fee, we also offer: An exclusive adventure on our Hawaiian sailing canoe to Nā Mokulua (Twin Islands) or around Mānana (Rabbit Island). For more information or to purchase one of these added features, please contact me prior to your arrival.

Chico Cabin

1 site · Lodging5 acres · Waialua, HI
Kia'i means protector in Hawaiian. We see ourselves as stewards to this high vibrational ancient Hawaiian land. Our aim is to aloha her. Love her and respect her. Working with the land. We converted a shed to a Tiny Hale (home) with a fun modern vibe at the base of the stunning Ka'ala mountains. As builders and designers we played with recycled materials and collected to create a playful, cozy, modern farm design for this tiny home. Sleep on the north shore of Oahu on a 5 acre farm in the Guava and Chico orchard amongst the chickens and chirping birds. Our food farm has an array of fruit. We grow chico, ulu, taro, mango, citrus, banana, guava, flowers and much more. Stay on the famous 7 mile miracle surf stretch, 2 minutes from historic Haleiwa town, 7 minutes to Ali'i Beach park, 35 minutes from the Honolulu International airport, You will have all the necessities with a flushing toilet, full refrigerator, kitchenette, wifi and a washer/dryer. Downshift on our peaceful Wailaua farm. E komo Mai.

North Shore Ranch

4 sites · Lodging2 acres · Haleiwa, HI
Aloha! Peaceful farmland available for Glamping and RV farm stays. It’s a convenient 5 minute drive to Haleiwa Town but make no mistake, we are remote and off grid, so it’s the best of both worlds. Although we provide many comforts, this is still camping at its core, so previous experience camping would be ideal. We want to make sure you are a happy camper in the end!
