This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you.
Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege.
While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.
This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. We have access to Reiki, massage, and other types of services. We have kayaks, surfboards, general snorkel and beach gear, SUPs, and connections to local businesses for other opportunities (e.g., horseback riding, sailing, rowing, etc.).
There are surfing, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, scuba, horseback riding, and hiking options nearby. We are also conveniently near a mall and many great places to eat. It is also lovely to hang out here at the farm and enjoy the peace, away from concrete and traffic congestion. There are places to explore and a steep climb one can hike to get to the edge of the property where there are many and even more spectacular views.
We are a real homestead and aspiring organic farm focused on Hawaiian Heritage plants and a Sanctuary for animals. We have many Native Hawaiian plants, superfoods, and culturally important plants. We also have Bucket and Scream (our goats), Venus, Zenith, and Sweetie (farm cats), Ipo (Australian Shepard farm dog), turkeys (Royal Palms), and a bunch of chickens.
It is possible to get around in the near area, and on and off the property, on The Bus. The Bus stop is down a hill about 5 minutes away.

IMPORTANT NOTE- Farm is ALL SOLAR powered. The solar cant do heating elements. So please NO hair dryers, curling irons, heating blankets, noise machines, anything that must be plugged in over night. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it.

We are at the top of a hill in a secluded and secure Homestead farm overlooking Kane`ohe Bay and Mokapu (and the Marine Corps Base) as well as the Pali (cliffs). We are focused on education about Hawai`i, being kind to animals (and all life, including humans), and we are privileged to be able to share our aloha as well as farm bounty. We grow chili peppers, ulu (breadfruit), kalo (taro), noni, vegetables, bananas, olena (turmeric), ginger, etc.

We have access to Reiki, massage, and other types of services. We have kayaks, surfboards, general snorkel and beach gear, SUPs, and connections to local businesses for other opportunities (e.g., horseback riding, sailing, rowing, etc.).
There are surfing, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, scuba, horseback riding, and hiking options nearby. We are also conveniently near a mall and many great places to eat. It is also lovely to hang out here at the farm and enjoy the peace, away from concrete and traffic congestion. There are places to explore and a steep climb one can hike to get to the edge of the property where there are many and even more spectacular views.
We are a real homestead and aspiring organic farm focused on Hawaiian Heritage plants and a Sanctuary for animals. We have many Native Hawaiian plants, superfoods, and culturally important plants. We also have Bucket and Scream (our goats), Venus, Zenith, and Sweetie (farm cats), Ipo (Australian Shepard farm dog), turkeys (Royal Palms), and a bunch of chickens.
It is possible to get around in the near area, and on and off the property, on The Bus. The Bus stop is down a hill about 5 minutes away.
We are always involved in community and local food, so let us know your interests. & let us know if you want to plant plants, weed bad grass, attend a cacao ceremony, or donate to a good cause.

Home is powered by an off grid solar system that supplies the home, washer, dishwasher etc. Propane supplies the stove, and dryer. Water is connected to the grid, 3 part filtered. Top of the line Cinderella burner toilet. Hot water heater is both solar and electric powered. Fans in all rooms and windows create a very breezy home.

IMPORTANT NOTE- Farm is ALL SOLAR powered. The solar cant do heating elements. So please NO hair dryers, curling irons, heating blankets, noise machines, anything that must be plugged in over night. Solar handles refrigerators, ceiling fans, lights, phones and starlink over night fine. Itʻs when anything is added on top of that in the evening or overnight that can cause a problem. Or if it is cloudy. Dryers used mid day. BUT- we love it. Itʻs a way of life. Living with the land.

The yurt was so beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. We loved our stay and really enjoyed getting to hang with the camp dogs. Sadly there was no fruit in season this time of year, we will definitely be back when fruit is in season. ☺️🌺🏝️🌴🤙🏼

We loved our stay in the cedar cabin! Living circles farm is beautiful, lush and even has views overlooking the ocean. I really wish we could have stayed longer. Kristian welcomed us to the living circles farm and let me harvest some bananas for my birthday! Life goals unlocked! Kristian was a great host and really gave us a grand tour of the property. The outdoor shower was hot, Bed was comfy, Stars were beautiful, and the bananas were top notch.

The is is our second stay at Living circle but our first time staying in the yurt. We love how close it is to beaches and Haleiwa. The property is beautiful and clean. Would highly recommend either camping here or staying in one of the yurts/small cabins. Make sure to check out the north shore farmers market if you find yourself up there on a Saturday, at the old sugar mill

A quintessential glamping experience - spacious tent, comfortable foam mattress bed with sweeping views of the mountains. Fully stocked kitchen with a nice private bathroom toilet and hot shower. Loved having our own picnic table/ eating area with overlooking farm. Loved waking up to sounds of nature. I appreciate the check-in packet as it was very informative and clear; Dave and Lex were also very communicative to ensure we have everything we need. Citronella candle on picnic table and charger in the tent were nice added touches. A minor request to add electronic mosquito repellent in tent (fan was very helpful too), eating area and private bathroom to keep mosquitoes at bay and enhance guest experience. Overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat whenever I visit the East side.

Wonderfully spaced yurt that can fit up to 6 air mattresses. It rained both nights so it was beautiful to sleep at night, water never went into the tent. Fan was helpful to keep mosquitoes out; bringing an electric mosquito repellent or two would add reinforcement. Campground is beautiful and expansive, with beautiful views of the mountains. Outtdoor showers and bathroom is about a minute walk from the yurt; can get muddy when it rains so bring boots. Recommend checking in during day time so it's easier to navigate since car parking is about a 3 minute wal from the yurt. Overall, unforgettable experience with sweeping mountain views waking up to nature and loved supporting a nonprofit that give back to the local community.

What a cool location! Lex and Dave were so easy to work with, and all the accommodations were great. You get a great view of the mountains, and you are close to a lot of cool stuff to do in city areas. It’s cool having animals roam around. It was a very refreshing time for our family, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to stay!

I could not stop telling friends about this place and our experience. :) it was a quaint space, with main essentials provided like chairs and table, outdoor seating & private bed space, with shower and porta potty also accessible, but no hot water.
It would have been nice if the host was there to welcome us when we arrived on the 31st for some guidance, he was very responsive over call & text so we found the location easier and met other farmer that informed us of more details about the location.
There’s 🐴 , 🐄 , 🦃 on safe perimeters, and 🐔, lots of chicks. Our dog to meet was a little in love with one of the horse- she kept trying to come closer.
We love how the day is quiet and how we lost track of time and sense of it during our New Year’s Day hiatus. We enjoyed our walk toward the ridge to get a view of the ocean and windmills, our side quest to say hi to the animals, and the fun of picking our own wood for campfire was memorable. Best view of night sky too!
Bring fly & mosquito repellent, cooking wares, and light source, then you’re good to go. :))

1 night at Waimanalo Farmstay
This is just a lovely location and the price is so refreshing on Oahu. You will be surrounded by the sounds of birds, the smell of nature and the beauty of the mountains rising close behind the property. By the way Google maps worked fine to get to the property, the provided maps just clarified where on the property the tents were. We fit 5 adults into 2 tents.

This was our 2nd time staying at Living Circle Farm. The last time we stayed in a RV. This time we stayed in the yurt, which was glamping at its finest! Kristian took us on a tour of the property when we arrived. You can tell he really takes pride in his work managing the campsite. He was an excellent host and really made us feel welcome. We sat around the fire pit with another couple staying at the site and made s’mores. We really enjoyed our time this time around and look forward to coming back. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent along just in case.

We enjoyed our stay here! The property is absolutely beautiful, especially the view from the outdoor shower. The bed was comfortable, the AC unit kept the room a nice temperature, and everything was clean.

4 nights at Waimanalo Farmstay
The place to be on O’ahu! We had such a wonderful and magical stay here. The whole landscape on Lex and Dave’s farm is breathtaking. It actually brought tears to my eyes the first time I took it all in. The accommodation is comfortable. It is so nice to have a comfy bed, electricity, fan, and hot shower while still being immersed in nature. Definitely a lot of critters and the mosquitos loved me but some bug spray and the provided citronella candle helped a lot! We loved all the roosters and wildlife around, plus meeting the farm dog Shadow! We also enjoyed seeing all the lush trees, and banana flowers around the property. The guide provided by Lex and Dave is so thorough and everything we tried on the list was a great recommendation- especially the exotic fruit from Frankie’s nursery, fresh poke from Shimas, and all the beautiful white sand, turquoise water beaches. My family stayed in Waikiki so we got to take a peak at what was going on over there and we were so grateful to be where we were on the other side of the island- closer to nature, local culture, and where things moved a little slower- just our speed. We celebrated our engagement on this trip and couldn’t have picked a better place to relax and enjoy O’ahu. We were definitely sad to say Aloha goodbye. Mahalo Lex and Dave for providing a container for self reflection, connection with one another, and with nature.

Had a great time staying up in Living Circle. Chris who hosted us chopped up wood for the fire pit and showed us around his workshop, he’s the man. Peaceful getaway, hopefully will be back at some point.

This place was so beautiful! We loved the surroundings. We liked that our yurt was close to the bathrooms and showers. (Although the toilets were a little dirty). We loved looking around for all the different animals, fruits growing, and walking by the stream. We will always remember our time here!
