From a small farm with typical livestock and vegetable gardens to a tree seedling nursery to hiking trails to cattle grazing in the fields, it has served its owners well. During the 1940's and early '50's, the Argura Post Office was located on the porch of my house. I have the original cancellation stamp. My husband is deceased, and I am hosting campers to meet people who love to camp as much as we did. My photo is with my dog Mollie.
I hike with a group weekly and can make hiking suggestions as well as fishing suggestions. Harmony Glen is a wonderful place!

The creek in front of the property is available for use. Great for soaking when the weather gets hot and it's shallow enough to just bring a folding chair. Fish? Yes, there are some trout in there. Flies work best. Got kids? Build a dam! Go for a creek walk! Great hiking at the end of Wesser Creek Road. There is a trail by the creek and a fire tower with great view about 4.5 miles up that trail. Water source (spring) is available at the top. Follow the blue blaze. The white blazes at the top tell you you're on the Appalachian Trail. Take a side hike to Maine!
Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) is just down the road on 19/74. Rafting, zip lines, a ropes course, mountain biking... good food by the river, a bar, public restrooms... the works. They often have music by the river on the weekends.
This land was once a hillside farm, after it was first logged early in the last century. They used to grow corn all over the hillside, then let the cows up there to graze and eat up the stalks. If you look closely, you might find some barbed wire in an old oak here and there.

Don't think, just book. The beauty of this place is what drew me to it. The kindness, and warmth June brings to this place is what makes you stay. Quite a magical stay, with the sweetest dogs and beautiful grounds to explore. Placed perfectly to explore surrounding hikes and waterfalls. June is an excellent host with a wealth of information about the area and history behind her place. If you're looking for somewhere quiet, clean, with excellent stargazing, book it.

Absolutely beautiful setting! Nice and quiet and tranquil. June came out to greet us right after her lovely Border Collies had done the same. We could not stay long but had a nice peaceful night sleep. Super close to Great Smoky Mountains NP which is where we were headed.

We love Harmony Glen. We visit NC every year to see relatives who volunteer with the Forest Service about 5 miles away. The location is perfect and June is a great host. We have a 30' TT and if you park it at the top, the site is quite level. If you have a TT like us, I would enter the drive very slowly in order to avoid tree branches, but we did it without issue. The 30amp service and water hookup is great and there is a dump station just down the drive. If you intend on staying for more than a few days, I would recommend a portable toter or you will have to hook up and drive a short distance to dump. We will definitely be back. Thanks June.

June is a wonderful host. I pretty much got to meet her family while I was there. They were all friendly and clearly outdoors enthusiasts. They came to check on me after a large storm rolled through, which I appreciated. The property is beautiful! I will definitely go back when I don’t have such a schedule to roam a bit and meet the cows. She provides a wealth of information on places to bike, hike, eat and treat. Definitely head into Sylva! Great food, people and vibe!

We had an amazing stay at Gatlin Ridge RV Park in Rosman, NC! From the moment we arrived, Jake made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The in-and-out for parking our 35-foot fifth wheel was super easy, and our site was spacious and beautifully maintained with all hookups working flawlessly. We stayed in site #5.
The park is peaceful and surrounded by stunning natural scenery, perfect for relaxing or exploring the outdoors. The fire pit was a highlight—we enjoyed s’mores every night under the stars! The location is fantastic, with hiking trails, Brevard, and Headwater Outfitters all just a short drive away.
Overall, Gatlin Ridge is a true gem. Thanks to Jake, our experience was wonderful—we had such a relaxing and fun stay, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through western NC!

The setting at Harmony Glenn is idyllic! Our host was very prompt to communicate with us before we arrived and very welcoming when we did show up. She has a fabulous notebook with information about hikes and other outdoor experiences in the area. The campsite itself is lush ,green and very private yet close to her home Where Internet service is available. There’s an electrical outlet and a water hose at the site too plus a fire ring, two tables, several chairs and a hammock. A camp type outhouse is available also.We were encouraged to take a short hike along the stream on her property and to wander through the many acres of cow pastures. wildflowers were in bloom making this hip camp picture perfect!

This is a nice and relaxing spot to camp. It was a lot cooler than where we're from in the summer, at least 20 degrees cooler. It's a large camp spot with you and the host are the only ones there on 40 acres of land. June gives you a notebook of things to do and hiking spots you'd never know about. We hiked the "caves" on Glades rd. They were awesome, and we went to see the Petroglyphs at Judaculla Rock on our way home. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Harmony Glen will keep a piece of our hearts. We camped for 6 nights on Mrs. June’s property and loved every minute of it. June’s 40 acres are pure treasures and it was a privilege to experience a part of her daily life. June’s two pups, Peaches and Molly were an adorable addition.
