A beautiful small farm where we homestead. We have a large garden, including raised beds, and raise everything organically. No pesticides. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond. Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer. We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge. We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding. Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm. The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years. Weekend Trip to Small Stuff Farm
This has to be the best property offered on Hipcamp. I have rented places through Hipcamp as well as other apps, and this is the best property and best experience yet. The hosts Loretta and Erik could not be more kind and welcoming. They live onsite, and will give you space and privacy when you want it…but will also quickly make you feel like an Important part of the household. The property is first class. You can meet the farm animals and experience farm life as much as you’d like. Yet you can also lounge by the pool and swim, and feel like you’re at a 5-star resort. Very unique. Also check out the large pond for wildlife viewing and a paddle boat ride if you’d like. The bedroom and private bathroom is really comfortable and they have every amenity you can think of. And be sure to include Loretta’s home cooked meals when making your reservation. They are delicious, made with ingredients straight from the farm you are staying on, and the fellowship with new friends is the best. Your best bet is to arrive for check-in, and not leave the property until it’s time for check-out. You will love every moment.

This was such a delightful place to stay, and we're already making plans to come back. The Creekhouse is the perfect blend of roughing it with access to basic amenities. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the property, and I appreciated the quiet freedom to let them roam. Damon is a wonderful host, friendly and very responsive. When the temperature dropped suddenly, he made sure we had heaters and warm blankets for sleeping, and we stayed cozy. My favorite part was falling asleep to the sound of the creek directly below us.

Great place to camp. Super cool place super pretty inside! Everything was tidy and clean upon arrival and host was super nice making sure we had good kindling and wood for our fire! Would reccommend in cool and cold weather and can’t wait to come back in warmer weather for a different experience! The streams and plants/trees are beautiful!

A beautiful small farm where we homestead. We have a large garden, including raised beds, and raise everything organically. No pesticides. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond. Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer. We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge. We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding. Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm. The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years.
