Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips.
We DO allow tent camping.
Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi.
An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm.
Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired.
The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse).
There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

Communitowhee (or Towhee) Farm is the rebirth of a retired, 19th century tenement estate located in the Mvskoke Indian territory of Milledgeville, GA. The land is divided into a working, 40+ acre pine forest and a 1-acre tract envisioned as an organic produce farm.
On the 1-acre tract, in the pecan grove next to the tiny home where you'll be staying, there is 120v electrical as well as a water hookup. We also have tiki torches and a fire pit for spending time around the fire in the evening.

The microfarm is complete with D.I.Y. designs; fruit trees, raised beds, composting bins, a bat house, water-catchment barrels, a fruit/vegetable sun-dryer, and a 11-by-40-foot greenhouse. Every step of Communitowhee’s growth has been taken with deep thought and consideration for the health and history of its land. We took our family of four in a 36’ RV to Lizardsniffer last week and had the time of our lives. We are grateful that Oar 4 ended up being a pull-through site. The kids went swimming and kayaking while we used the paddle boats on the lake. We got such good rest during our visit and enjoyed the dark skies for watching the meteor shower! Ask Lisa to meet the horses and you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back!

We had the absolute best weekend fishing trip at Thomas Land! It’s such a beautiful, calm, and relaxing spot that has everything you need for a comfortable camping stay. We caught a ton of fish and genuinely enjoyed every minute of our time there.
Thomas is so welcoming and friendly. He met us right at the entrance and walked us through everything we needed to know. A special thank you to his farm caretaker, Mr. Tucker, who was incredible. He helped us catch fish and even gave my son some wonderful, free fishing lessons.
If you're looking for a peaceful getaway for camping and fishing, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely plan again soon.

Staying with Marti was like visiting an old friend. I needed a safe space to park my van for the night. She offered her screen porch to relax and catch some breeze. We have been to Deerfield a few times now and we have always enjoyed our stay. Thomas is an excellent host and it is always nice to chat with him while we are there. The location cannot be beat, giant pond, great screened in game area/hangout area to cook in, eat in or just enjoy hanging out together. There is a outside bathroom which is great to have access to along with an outdoor shower. You have all the hookups for rving as well. You are in a beautiful area with open areas to spread out, let the kids run around, let your pets to stretch their legs. You are in the peaceful countryside where you can see all the stars put in a spectacular show, if there are no clouds. You will never want to leave!
