I'm a former vanlifer, WWoofer, and current gardener/Wild Foraging Teacher who still loves camping even though I am currently renovating this cabin built in 1900. The cabin sits on a large lot and I also own the lot next door, which is where the campsites are. There are two site spaces and a fire ring in the middle. There is an outside water faucet close by with city water. Guests who need to check email may visit the front porch and use the guest wifi password that I share with Airbnb guests to the cabin. Ghost hunters~ many boarders have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops.
We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars
Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 amp electrical hook up, hot/cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with toilet.
We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

This little RV park is owned by the sweetest couple and they were so nice and accommodating which I appreciated since this was my first hip camp visit. The site was beautiful, they even offer on-site laundry for no cost (donation requested). Very affordable and quiet and would stay there again anytime!

Shawn was the perfect host! He greeted me at the gate upon my arrival, escorted me to the back of the property where I could park my van under a canopy of trees. He then invited me to jump on his cart and gave me a thorough tour of the property.
The site is outstanding! Peaceful and serene... Much love was put into every detail to create a magical place.
So much space to walk, meditate and just quiet my mind. The Labyrinth was the highlight, which I visited twice.
Looking forward to a rerun visit!

I had a great stay at Marti’s place. She welcomed my with a cup of tea and we had a great conversation on the porch. The driveway where I parked my van is level, quiet and private. And the price is right. Overall, it was perfect for my 2 day trip to Macon.

We had a great time camping here. The property is beautiful and feels very private. We often go for campsites that are heavily wooded, but it was a nice change to have an open field to play around in. We did some stargazing at night, and though it was extremely cloudy, we still saw Jupiter! Our toddler couldn't get enough of the playset and loved looking at the chickens. The compost toilet was nicer than we've seen in some state parks. We would very much recommend this place!

For a county / municipal park, you'll think you're on private land. Situated between a pretty lake and a quiet airport, these sites are quiet. I was the only one there for a week, and only occasionally did a local walked roam around this side of the lake from the public park on the other side.
This is as quiet and secluded as any other Hipcamp park you'll find. Definitely give this one a chance if you're near the Fitzgerald area.

This place was beautiful! I practically had it all to myself, but I realize it’s not the busy season yet. ;)
But the spot was gorgeous- the lake; the sunset & sunrise was very enjoyable.
There is some noise- trains & planes (small airport next door) & the road.
But the birds made up for it! Lol
Beware of lots of fire ant hills. Just avoid them & never stand in one place for too long. ;-)

Great spot, very close to the town of Fitzgerald. Wal-Mart is very close if you need supplies/groceries. Bathrooms are a little far from the camp areas but nice hot showers. The only disappointment was that they need to mow before your arrival.
