While the location is only minutes away from bike trails, walking paths by the river, and our local downtown restaurants/ shops, our unique space on our property makes you feel as though you have escaped into the mountains. A beautiful small farm where we homestead. We have a large garden, including raised beds, and raise everything organically. No pesticides. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond.
Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer.
We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge.
We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding.
Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm.
The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years.

We are a working equine and small animal rescue farm. You will walk out the front door with ponies grazing as your view. You can also look out the kitchen window while making your coffee and watch the horses graze.
If you are interested we have farm tours and horse grooming opportunities available. These are extra so be sure to let us know in advance if you are interested.
We do have a fire pit on the property that you are welcome to use, as well as a charcoal grill. You are responsible for bringing your own charcoal, lighters, etc. If you need wood bundles please let us know.
We are located appx 20 minutes from Lake Thurmond and several well-known golf courses.
The entire property is a no-smoking zone. This includes cigarettes, vape pens, etc. This is also a non-drinking zone. No alcohol of any kind is allowed on the premises. These rules are set in place for the safety of my family and my animals.
Please let us know if there is anything you need before your arrival and we do our best to accommodate you. For your convenience there is a Dollar General located one mile down the road.

Our travel trailer is situated next to the house but offers a private refuge. Pets are allowed but we have livestock guardian dogs so they must be leashed. We loved our trip. The hosts went above and beyond to have us have a comfortable stay. I have two toddlers, and it rained a majority of our trip, but would you believe that they set up a busy box for our toddlers so that they could have activities to do inside the camper?? So generous.
The bed was comfortable, the hot water was piping hot, the string lights were perfect. We really had no complaints. It was very quiet and relaxing! We had a great time. Highly recommend. We will be back!!!!

•There were a few little gnats/bugs in the bathroom but that didn’t bother us
•I had read about their spring-fed pond and the possibility for swimming and kayaking, sadly, their kayaks don’t exist anymore due to Helene and I don’t really recommend swimming in the pond—it was very muddy and warm (we tried) If there is some way they could make the pond nicer, it could be a big perk

Weekend Trip to Small Stuff Farm
This has to be the best property offered on Hipcamp. I have rented places through Hipcamp as well as other apps, and this is the best property and best experience yet. The hosts Loretta and Erik could not be more kind and welcoming. They live onsite, and will give you space and privacy when you want it…but will also quickly make you feel like an Important part of the household.
The property is first class.
You can meet the farm animals and experience farm life as much as you’d like.
Yet you can also lounge by the pool and swim, and feel like you’re at a 5-star resort.
Very unique.
Also check out the large pond for wildlife viewing and a paddle boat ride if you’d like.
The bedroom and private bathroom is really comfortable and they have every amenity you can think of.
And be sure to include Loretta’s home cooked meals when making your reservation.
They are delicious, made with ingredients straight from the farm you are staying on, and the fellowship with new friends is the best.
Your best bet is to arrive for check-in, and not leave the property until it’s time for check-out.
You will love every moment.

1 night at Hesed Homestead
Great experience. This RV was clean and comfortable. You can tell that Jessie has put alot of care and love into making this RV a special place for her guests. Bed linens and clean towels are provided. I enjoyed sitting by the firepit and relaxing. The homeowners are far enough away that the RV feel private but they are just a phone call away if you need them. The homeowners were kind enough to come show me how to work the heat. The property is quiet and peaceful. I would certainly stay here again.
