This is a very peaceful place. The cabin was super clean and had everything one could think of and the bed was super comfy.
Communication with Anne was easy, fast and clear. She is a SUPER HOST.

The site was very secluded and quiet. The host met us at the gate and directed us on where to park. The road was very soft dirt but we got into a fairly flat area. They have 30 and 50 amp extension cords to plug into and water hook ups. They have a disc golf basket in a field with discs to use. Their dog is super friendly and the emu came up pretty close to us.

1 night at Grass Campers Country Cow Farm
Would recommend staying here. Super safe for solo (woman travelers) due to the ability to have a locked gate and locked on the door. The cabin is super cute and comfy to sleep. The hosts are super nice people. I highly recommend if you are looking for some alone time relaxing!

I highly recommend Big Oak Farm Dog and Horse Camping! It’s an idyllic little spot to stay with the family, with pets or solo. It’s easy to locate and very accessible near a state road.
I booked last minute, (I’m talking about an hour beforehand). The host responded quickly and was very welcoming. Every time I reached out through the app, during my stay, the response was quick. The hosts were attentive, but definitely gave you your privacy.
Although, their very clear directions and instructions were posted on the site, they took the time to greet me personally and helped me get set up with water and electricity, using their own hose and extension cord to save me the trouble of dragging out my own.
There is a large fenced in area for the dogs to run around safely. My 3 had a great time and were fascinated by the pig and the emu in the adjoining field. It’s a beautiful sight to see horses in the field while having your morning coffee!
I decided to book a second night after seeing the stars the first night. There is no noticeable light pollution and little to no traffic at night. I would recommend bringing a telescope, you won’t be disappointed.
I would definitely stay again!

This is a very peaceful and private space. Personal entrance, and plenty of animals (even an emu!) to greet in a separate fenced off area,
There's a hammock, Frisbee golf, and plenty of room to walk around. This is a great place to stay especially for families.
Tip: For the best setup, be sure to bring an extension cable and long water hose.

Wild turkeys, fenced in yard for the dog. Enjoyed the peaceful siting even though was a high traffic road. Easy access to parks and the town. Enjoyed the parrots in kitchen area. Very talkative.

This is a great 55+ RV community that was so welcoming and friendly!! It was our first trip out in our RV and we hadn’t anticipated the challenge of backing in the RV but a nice couple out walking helped us get the RV backed in properly so we didn’t have any issues. The hosts were very responsive to texts and calls, super helpful and accommodating! There are several lots for sale in this community but we didn’t find any others on Hipcamp. We did not use any of the amenities but it is a great option to have them available so close. The resort is only a short distance from town so you can run to Walmart, Starbucks, or Bob Evans if you need anything. You are also a short distance from several springs as well. We will definitely be back again!!

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful time getting lost in nature! The winding driveway to the property made it feel like we were escaping into a fairytale forest — so private and peaceful.
We loved that our dogs could run around freely next to our camp, and the setup was perfect for our group: my partner and I stayed in a tent while our guests enjoyed the comfort of the RV. The accommodations were great — the RV was especially comfortable during the hot afternoons, and I actually really enjoyed the cold outdoor shower!
We spent our time cooking delicious food together, relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful forest surroundings. Just a heads up: I recommend bringing tick spray, as we did get some bites, but that’s to be expected when you’re this close to nature.
The hostess was so kind and helpful — overall, it was a stay full of fun, family, and forest. Highly recommend!
