Goat House Farm

Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.

As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits.  Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. 

It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

Crazy 8 Ranch & 4 Steps Horse Rescue

This is our own little piece of paradise and we love to share it with others. First, we are a horse rescue ranch under 4 Steps Horse Rescue, 501c3 non-profit.  The business side is Crazy 8 Ranch. We offer guided trail rides, boarding, education and activities for all ages. All proceeds go towards the feed and care of our rescues. Everyone is welcome here, come enjoy our hospitality

We will do monthly rentals.  This property has belonged to my family for generations. I grew up here learning to ride horses and rope cows. I learned to swim in the spring just down the road from my house. Most of our property is devoted to raising cows and horses which we use to help guide the youth of the community in ensure they stay out of trouble. This portion of property we reserved to allow others to come and visit our wonderful community and share in a piece of our dream.

we are willing to do long term rentals.  we do have other locations.  When pulling into the property turn in just in front of the 5 rivers adventure airboat tours blue sign.  DO NOT TRUST GPS!   DO NOT TURN unless you turn into drive way on left.  if you go strait on wacissa springs road you will be able to turn around.  turn by hipcamp signs.    Has 50 amp hookups so you may need an adapter.  water and septic.

Twisted Oak Country Retreat

Twisted Oak Country Retreat is found in rural Jefferson County where there are only 14,000 residents.
 The quiet and peaceful property is home to many birds, from hummingbirds to falcons, in addition to squirrels, fox, and deer.
 Personal animal residents include chickens and Mandy, a well behaved dog that is happy to be leashed during your visit.

This is a smaller grassy pasture area surround by trees and vegetation that offers privacy though it is a bit closer to the Private Home on the property.
