Come camp in the woods right off the Perdido River. There is a short walk to the cabin, either along boardwalks or via a trail, and we provide carts to make it easy. Across the floating bridge is a sandbar where you can hang out with other river rats and enjoy a cold one. The Perdido River is known for great tubing and kayaking. We have tubes available to loan. A float from Fillingim’s Landing to our sandbar takes about four hours with stops. If you’re looking for an all-day adventure, you can put in at Barrineau Park Bridge. We are 420-friendly, and if you want to enjoy a beer, we’ll probably join you. There is a large outdoor fire pit and grills available for use. I also have camping hammocks that can be set up for extra guests, as well as a camping toilet. Camping On The Farm! This is a living quarters horse trailer that we use to travel with our horses. It is a small space! Set on a working farm 5 miles down a red dirt road, the camper offers beautiful views of the Farm and wonderful interaction with nature and the farm animals. We provide a coffee maker (French press), ground coffee, fresh eggs from our chickens, and a loaf of fresh bread (for your consumption or to feed the animals). We do not provide a cooked breakfast. There is no TV or radio. The Camper is nestled 17 miles from Town, so you may want to shop on your way here. The Eastern Shore Center is located at Exit 38, where you can find great shopping, many restaurants, and a Publix grocery store. We try to keep various essential items in the pantry and there is a stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, glasses, flatware). TV, landline telephone, and internet are not available. You should have good cell phone service, Verizon and AT&T 4G , outside. Check-in is any time after 3pm and Check-out is 10am. Guest access Please do not open any gates or cross any fences. Full bathroom with ice cold AC (mini split) and cozy heat for our mild winter days. There is a propane fire pit and a wood burning fire pit (bring firewood) and outdoor lights. It is very dark here in the forest and peaceful, with sounds of nature surrounding. Please do not disturb the wildlife, and never kill a snake. We like to let things live. If you have an issue, please contact me and we will come take care of it. ***Sorry, NO PETS allowed.

3 nights at Malakai 🏕 different by design

This place was great! We stayed in the glamping tent/cabin, and despite absolute downpouring rain, we were bone dry inside, and quite comfortable. The AC unit gave us tremendous relief, at night we literally got chilly. Such a cool atmosphere in the whole area. The host was great, he met us even though we showed up late at night, he gave us a tour of the area and we saw him from time to time throughout the trip and he was a pleasure to chat with. Definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Perdido River Camping Cabin

I LOVED this spot, secluded and right next to a beautiful and clean river. The short walk to the cabin was very enjoyable although it’s a little rough on the wagon if you’re hauling heavy stuff but nothing crazy. The neighbors that come to the river are SO sweet and a good time all around, though id leave dogs at the cabin out of respect for the people at the river!!! I’m totally going to come here again I had the best time.

Gene was an EXCELLENT host for this little get away. He even took us for a boat ride out in the lake! I highly recommend this spot as he and his military memorabilia are something to admire while soaking in the views from the breezeway bar outside :) Definitely plan to get out this way again!!!

This was a beautiful and tranquil spot. Lush green and waterfront area, gracious hosts and the cabin was perfect to relax and take a break from ‘busy life’. Larry and Sheila were more than accommodating. The cabin was perfectly stocked and spotless upon arrival. I enjoyed my time so much, I extended another week! Thanks Larry and Sheila. Absolutely stunning area and hipcamp! I felt like I was in an enchanted forest somewhere far away. It was super close to the beach too, but even when it rained I really enjoyed staying here watching the rain through the window! Perfect place to relax and work on art

The camper is in someone’s back yard so not a ton of privacy , however we had a fire pit and everything we needed . The plants back by the fire pit and camper were incredible so beautiful it felt like a jungle . If you’re looking for a very cute hippie friendly small space to enjoy this is your place ! Hosts very friendly and helpful !!

I try to make it a routine to go camping with my son every time I visit him. This campsite has everything I could ask for: courteous owners, easy to follow instructions, wonderful set up at the campsite and easy access to a beach. He had an absolute blast, helping me build, and maintain a fire, walk around the entire campsite, and many hours well spent in the water. I’ll be visiting this campsite again.
