This was a great spot, close to everything the world’s most beautiful beaches has to offer, yet far enough away to have a nice peaceful rest. Brian was very kind and quick to respond to any questions that we had. Host provided and nice little book with everything you needed to know about the property as well as restaurant recommendations along with menus. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

Great experience, dogs had a great time in the water and it seemed very secluded. There was a cart near the entrance that made bringing our gear to the site very easy!

7 nights at 30A Bay Hideaway

This is our fourth year visiting The Bay Getaway. Our grandchildren love coming each year to kayak, catch little crabs in the shallows, climb up onto the treehouse, and run and play on the huge lawn. We love the birdwatching, the beautiful sunsets, the quiet, and the privacy of this spot to give us a safe environment for visiting with our grandkids. Love this place!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Eric and his hospitality. He had the site set up for us with Adirondack chairs, umbrella, fire pit, and a small table when we arrived. His communication with us was great prior to our arrival and all throughout our stay. The spot is very clean and is nicely set up with water, 30 amp, and sewer. Eric took us on a 3-hour boat trip all around the area on his restored pink boat which was the highlight of our trip. We slept with the doors open on our Class B, and felt completely safe in the area which was quiet and peaceful. The dock has been refurbished and is a perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved getting to explore Fort Walton Beach on Eric’s recommendations.

I loved tent camping at East Bay. The host was very nice and made sure we were happy. Great location with the bay down the path from camp and Navarre beach a near drive. A plus having a porta potty onsite and it was very clean. Will definitely be back if camping in this area again:)

Eric’s spot was perfect for us. Very quiet area and close to everything we needed. Having a view of the water was a plus. Eric was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with.

Nice quiet lot with full hookups. Not far from the beach and on the safer end of Panama City. Owners provided firewood which was a nice touch. Owners were friendly but not over bearing. Would definitely come again.

We loved camping here in our 5th wheel! It was as advertised and perfect for my family. We hope to stay again when we are in the area.

I loved staying at 30A Hideaway Retreat & already miss being there. It is secluded & private, right on the bayou to enjoy gorgeous sunsets, use the kayaks/paddle boards to get out on the water or go fishing off the dock. I saw a dolphin swimming right off of the dock along with pelicans, egrets & grey herons flying, feeding & hanging around. It is also close enough to eat out at fun restaurants, go shopping & relax on the white sandy beaches & swim in the turquoise ocean. I took a great bike ride on the Timpoochee Trail, an 18-mile beautiful, paved trail that runs along South Walton’s Scenic 30A, through colorful, picturesque beachside towns & along several rare & captivating dune lakes. This idyllic property is the perfect camping vacation retreat ~ I highly recommend it!

I had an easy and awesome time staying at Brian’s. He was very accommodating and even had an adapter to fit my extension cord so I could charge my power bank goal zero battery. I didn’t get a chance to use the fire ring and the Nice umbrella/table and chairs available for guests. But there’s always next time…! His property is minutes from some of the best beaches in the country…!

If you are looking for an outdoor getaway and like to camp this is the place to book, we are so happy we did and will be back with more family! We brought our 4 year old and he loved it, especially the walk to the kayaks! The three tents are spaced out enough for everyone to have plenty of privacy! If staying during cooler weather bring proper attire at night to stay warm! The owners are super easy to get ahold of and if they are very helpful if you have questions about the area! We will be back soon!

6 nights at 30A Bay Hideaway

I felt like a 62 year old Huck Finn exploring on the kayak, catching crabs, and watching the dolphins pass by. My husband catch great Red Fish. All released. I think the one he caught last night was at least 30”. We loved this spot. The outdoor shower was a treat looking out to the bay. Our dog loved being able to be off leash and playing in the bay.

3 nights at Bay Forest Retreat

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our three night stay here in the glamper! It was spacious and very comfortable and could easily accommodate a few more people but was quite spacious for us as a couple. The hosts were very easy to contact and were responsive to any questions. Brooke reached out the evening of our arrival to ensure everything was good with the site. There was also a picnic table, several chairs, and a fire ring to enjoy! There was plenty of space to feel isolated but close enough to town to enjoy that aspect of the vacation. The walk to the beach area was nice and there were even a few kayaks and a picnic table down there for people staying on the property to use! 10/10 would definitely come back here again and would recommend it to anyone!

3 nights at Bay Forest Retreat

This was an amazing retreat. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights. The hosts were communicative and amazing even with a weather scare. Short walk to campsite and short walk to the bay beach. Ocean beach a close drive as well. There were kayaks and lifejackets for use by the bay, fire pits and chairs already setup, a clean port-a-potty close to the site, and several thoughtful amenities in the glamping tent. Honorable mention that the tent held very strong through a brief rainstorm. It was beautiful, relaxing, clean, and well-maintained. Would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Bay Forest Retreat

What a BEAUTIFUL campsite! Easy access and easy instructions. Super close to Navarre Beach, quiet, felt very private and peaceful. The tent was so cozy with the comfy bed and through two thunderstorms, it held up extremely well and we stayed vedy warm and dry. The only downside is the walk to the tent. It is only about 2 minutes, but that feels long when you are hauling loads of things. Otherwise, gorgeous place with super good location and beautiful atmosphere.

2 nights at Bay Forest Retreat

It was so fun, and the land is so beautiful! We were delighted to stay in Hilary and Brooke’s glamper. They give you kayaks to go paddle around and a stove at the fire pit. It was really cool and amazing to experience Navarre.

This was a great location. It was completely secure and safe. Very quiet and relaxing, and had plenty of room! Brian was awesome, and more helpful than expected! Highly recommend! Will definitely stay again if in the area!

Explore 11+ acres of rustic and untamed woods. We are two military veteran families who enjoy the land as a place for family and friends to explore, camp, and relax at the 250+ feet of the East Bay beach. Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground and waterfront, respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water). Our Glamper is a 10x12 canvas furnished tent located a short but rugged 2-minute hike from parking. It provides the opportunity to go camping without having to pack all the gear. Our location is minutes from the Emerald Coast - 7 mins to Navarre Beach, - 30 mins to Pensacola Beach, - 15 mins to Naval Live Oaks, - 45 mins to Fort Pickens, - 50 mins to NAS Pensacola, - 45 mins to Santa Rosa Island, - 35 mins to Okaloosa Island, - 40 mins to Destin. Recommended local restaurants: St. Michael's Brewery which has rotating food trucks and is family friendly, Ye Olde Brothers Brewery, Dewey Destin’s, Windjammers, TC’s Front Porch, Deb’s Coffee, The Eatery food truck park, Top’s Burgers, and New York Pizza Depot. We have a nice little RV pad on the back of our coastal home. Situated on a little bayou that opens out into Choctawhatchee Bay. Crab Island is only a 10 minute boat ride away. You would have access to our small dock and there is a neighborhood boat ramp less than one hundred feet away. This is a great place for kayaks, wave runners, and small boats. If you don't have a boat, we can set up any kind of trip you want. We are all licensed captains and own multiple Crab Island businesses. We have a 23' sailboat that we can take up to 6 people on for a peaceful 4 hour sail. You can charter our pontoon boat for as many as 6 people to take you to Crab Island as well as some other spots that only locals know about. We also have a restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. We can also do Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. We can also accommodate up to 2 people on an inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. The neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Walton with large oaks and magnolias providing plenty of shade for bike riding and walking. Downtown Fort Walton with its shops and quaint restaurants is only a mile away. Didn't bring a bike, we have 2 you can use. The site comes with water/sewer and 30 Amp hookup. The sight can accommodate up to 43' for trailer and vehicle.
