I loved tent camping at Maggie’s. Everything I would need was provided: hot shower, clean port-a-potty, and a partial kitchen. Maggie and Michael are the bests hosts I’ve met in my 5 months of traveling. I was met and shown around when I arrived. These two have great musical talents and a lot of stories that I really enjoyed and learned something from. I would absolutley stay here again and may even make it a must stop when in the area.

Spacious, basic, and quiet, with occasional road noise. Very natural environment with trees and a small orchard, access to potable water to rinse and drink. Wooden fence around property, we felt very safe! Lighted and clean port a potties and 2 wonderful hot showers. Detached kitchen with power outlets and fridge a super plus! The most incredibly warm and welcoming hosts ever, Maggie and Mike are very responsive hosts, and gave us excellent advice and suggestions for our nearby explorations, they made us feel at home. Beaches between 40-60 min away depending on which beach.

We've reached the stage in our life that we look for experiences beyond just a place to stay over night. What a wonderful place. So many horses to see and pet. Really enjoyed our stay, and hoped it help support their rescue efforts. Our site faced the corals. Early in the morning I was sitting have coffee outside and one of the horses made eye contact, then walked over to the fence to say good morning. Pretty cool.

We had a wonderful time! Mr. Bill offered us several spots to pitch our tent and we chose right next to the creek so we could hear the water through the night. And it was fabulous. We heard Chuck-Wills-Widows singing along with the creek cooing while we relaxed by the fire. It was a short walk to the bathroom but it was worth it. Mr. Bill was friendly but respectful of our time and space. He offered us a tour and coffee and we were happy to hang out and learn from him. His property is eclectic but for conservationists like us it is a delight! We will visit again for sure. I would recommend bringing extra lights to hang on the trees, we had a few and it was super helpful finding our way in the dark.
