The land is close to 180 miles of local kayak trails (we rent kayaks!), a 10 minute drive from beautiful walking trails, and about an hour from the beach. We offer a rustic composting toilet, a heated outdoor shower, and a simple kitchen with a sink and stovetop.
Note: Flitterbug Farm is in a rural, agricultural part of South Florida. The setting is peaceful, but it’s also alive with the sounds of farm life and wildlife. You may hear roosters, dogs, owls, frogs, and the usual country activity from nearby neighbors. We provide complimentary earplugs for light sleepers, and many guests find the natural soundscape part of the charm, but we want you to know what to expect.

We are dog lovers and dogs are welcome, we have two sweet and friendly ranch dogs, females, German Shepherd that walk freely at the property.
If you love nature you may be surprised by a deer, alligator, hog, armadillo, panther, turtle, rabbit, raccoon, we already saw so many over here, you can see but please don’t touch, remember they are not pets and are free in their habitats!
We producing a delicious raw honey just for us, not selling, you can see some working bees.
We have some fruits trees like bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, mangos, avocados, that maybe you are luck and are in the season when you arrive, and yes, you are allowed to pick it if in season.
Also you are more than welcome to bring any fruit tree and plant here during your stay.
You can watch an amazing sunrise and sunset that are memorable. At night you can prepare delicious s'mores, bring your stuff and gaze into the night sky filled with stars like you've never seen.
There is a social area with hammock, relaxing chairs, fire-pit, outdoor open shower, barbecue, table. Bring more chairs if you are a big family.
If you like fishing, bring your stuff and you can fish at the water canal that are in the back of our property, we already got some delicious yummy Tilapias.
The water that we provide come from a well, we use filters to purify it and use as shower and hose, but bring your drink water.
You can bring your UTV and ATV to ride over here.
If you are in a mood for a horseback, we can share a contact of a lady that bring them to our property, must be arranged prior to visit.
Talking about outside the ranch, you can see our neighbors with orange farms, dragon fruit plantations, passion fruit plantations, bamboo plantations, ostrich farm, chicken farm.
The town of LaBelle offers a lot to do and you must visit some places like LaBelle Nature Park, and Barron Park, we love to go there afternoons after grabbing a pizza. Talking restaurants, we can recommend our favorites, like a Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, a Brewing co, and a delicious Pelican's SnoBall shaved-ice snow cones that we are addicts of it!
We are located 30 minutes from town, no stores or gas stations close by. Please come fully equipped with your own utensils, cooking essentials, food and beverages.
We're also within 50 miles away of Estero Beach and 44 miles of Fort Myer.
Bring sunscreen and a hat, we are in Florida and it is always super hot over here during the day. Don’t forget the bug repellent and a sweater, sometime the temperature drop during night. You may want a flashlight or headlamp for walking around at night.

It is full of the most beautiful views of the stars and provides peace and quiet, You will be left alone to write that book, let your children run free, meditate, or just relax. Bring your dogs, they will have a blast!
This is not a place for glampers, people afraid of nature, or people that cannot deal with bugs or extreme temperatures!!! During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times.
We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night.
You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly.
We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping.
Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn.
The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone.
There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping.
1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing.
Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds.

Welcome to Valhalla Prairie Farms, a 10-acre oasis located on the prairie in Okeechobee, FL. This is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. It is full of the most beautiful views of the stars and provides peace and quiet, You will be left alone to write that book, let your children run free, meditate, or just relax. Bring your dogs, they will have a blast!
This is not a place for glampers, people afraid of nature, or people that cannot deal with bugs or extreme temperatures!!! During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times.
We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night.
You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly.
We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping.
Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn.
The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone.
There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping.
1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing.
Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds.

I was warmly welcomed at George’s campground! I was not sure at first how I would fare with the campsite being tucked away from the car and the outhouse but it seems the body adapts quite quickly when you get clean air and peaceful quiet time at night. It is a touch of wild forest in the middle of a suburban desert. George has been taking a step by step process to bridge people back to nature. You are experiencing a snapshot of a vision in flux! He is highly communicative whatever your needs and a pleasure to meet! I would gladly return. It is great to be close to town with great food options as well.

Amazing experience for our new years eve anniversary under the stars by the fire! Fantastic set up and very user friendly. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and the site was perfect. They had coconuts that we were able to drink fresh out of and we got an amazing tour of the farm! Our dog loved it and had a blast playing with muffin and brave. Would definitely recommend this for an option to unplug from the work week. The stars were incredible and just what we were hoping to see for our 1st anniversary!

My girlfriend and I just finished a two-night stay at this wonderful location. The property is 5 acres and only hosts a few guests at a time so the campsites felt remote. The host is extremely passionate about permaculture and love to share knowledge - just ask! As it is a native environment you should expect mosquitoes, critters, and everything that comes along with it - including butterflies, dragonflies, and all of natures beauty.
The campsite were tricky to find and I recommend coordinating that in advance, as once the sun goes down, it's DARK.
Overall, a great getaway and I would stay here again. It's a short drive to Blue Heron Bridge and other West Palm locations.

Martin and Wendy are great hosts. They think of everything you'll need during your stay. This is a very comfortable and safe location. Oh and Lady (resident doggo) is available for pets and companionship.

A lot of options and flexibility to camp the way you want to camp and super nice host. Would stay on the property here over any state park/generic cookie cutter camp ground. A beautiful wide-open glade with a serene pond nearby made this spot absolutely perfect. We enjoyed a small fire right by our tent and camped beneath gorgeous trees that offered welcome shade as the day warmed up. The outdoor kitchen was great for cooking, and the firepit added to the classic camping experience. With virtually no light pollution, the night sky was incredible, stars everywhere.
Trina, the host, couldn't have been kinder and even shared some fascinating history about the land. It's and ideal place to unwind and immerse yourself in nature while still being conveniently close to groceries and other essentials. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be returning.

We had a great time camping at this preserve. Michael is very responsive and doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions you may have. When we arrived he had someone ready to show us how to get to our spot which is secluded so very peaceful change from the busy state parks. The site was clean and had great space and coverage. I really enjoyed Trina's place; I loved that she let my dog Bandit, play ball off leash. I think Bandit liked her too because he was right behind her "he normally doesn't leave my site" anyway you are provided with the necessities, a 2-burner propane stove, sink where you wash your dishes, she even filters the drinking water and puts it in a glass jug." how sweet is that" there is an out-house, oh and if you want to soak under the stars, there is an old cast-iron tub, you get to experience the way they did it back in the old days, by building a fire under the tub.! " hot tub "and a fire pit where you can hang out and meet new friends. let's not forget the shower also under the stars. " don't worry you have some privacy there" anyway it was my first hipcamp, Bandit and I had fun.
