Our camping experience was awesome. Patrick’s Dad Pat met us at the entrance to the property and led us to a beautiful secluded spot. He also drove me around property to get me acquainted to the many acres available for walks. The property was extremely well maintained. It was renewing to have such a quiet property to enjoy walks, fishing (if interested) and star gazing. Everything as far as hookups was easy and we so enjoyed listening to birds, reading and relaxing. No cell service or WiFi but you will not miss it if you want to enjoy nature and solitude. We definitely would return for future visits.

we loved our stay at this cozy, comfortable, well equipped camp site! it was the perfect blend of comfortable amenities and an outdoor camping experience. the beautiful wooded environment was so peaceful despite being fairly close to a road. we spent our time relaxing by the firepit all day or exploring the surrounding areas. I feel very rejuvenated after this trip and hope to come back soon! thank you!

Ronald and Pat are a wonderful couple who created a special spot, super cozy and equipped, under the amazing high pines.
We spend 2 nights with our baby and had a relax quiet family time. First time in nature for our trip and loved it! The garden is slowly developing in to a jewel between the forests trees. The gas heater did the work, we had nice and warm inside the tent.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise
Glamping in Paradise is a gem! The site is well appointed; we were surprised to find many amenities and thoughtful touches. Our stay endured chilly nights, warm days, and a quick downpour - no worries here with the fireplace, A/C and fan, and thick tent. The lights outside were so cozy at night and we enjoyed looking at all the plants. Host was communicative and quick to respond to app messages during our stay. A unique and enjoyable camping (glamping) experience!

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating.
I can't wait until I book another trip here in the future!

Absolutely fantastic experience! It had everything you could possibly need (sink, hammock, campfire, s'mores stick, picnic table, portapotties, fridge, AC, blankets, coffee maker, and even a nice little bowl of candy!)
As an added bonus, it rained throughout the night and we stayed completely dry in the tent.

Definitely will be back again!! Patrick met us and helped us get all setup and made sure everything was good before leaving. Had the best time, so peaceful and private. Never left the site. Caught small bass and beautiful bream. Seen deer and lots of ducks. If you are looking for a restful and private retreat then this is the spot for sure!!

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise
This place is so beautiful, especially at night when all the lights came on. The photos look great, but it is 10x better in person. There were many little things that made the experience nicer, too. There are k-cup coffees, tea, and many things that helped make it memorable (like bbq tongs and mits and a refrigerator!). The air conditioning in combination with the powerful fan kept the tent comfortable in the afternoon and that, along with the plush bed covers, made sleeping awesome. The noise from the fan drowns out any nature noises, too. My one suggestion would be to have a light in the toilet building. The lantern was okay to carry along, but it would be nicer if it had a light. Will definitely camp here again. Maybe later in the Fall. Oh, a word to other campers.... bring OFF because there are some mosquitoes, just like everywhere in Florida.

It was the most beautiful calming 24 hours that I could have ever hoped for. This place is beyond amazing beyond beautiful it's actually breathtaking. I absolutely recommend this place and I look forward to booking a stay here again and being able to stay longer than I did. If you need some rest relaxation and a good reset this is the place to go. Samantha's place was quiet and private. If you're looking for somewhere to relax in a quiet setting this is it. The water was low in the pond. You could tell the water used to be much higher. It has a boathouse and a boat launch that hasn't been used in years due to the low water that no longer comes close to them anymore. Maybe the spillway needs repairs. Samantha is very sweet, kind and very responsive. I would stay here again.

East of Destin, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and Grayton Beach State Park have popular coastal campgrounds, or you can head inland to hike, bike, and horseback ride in the Point Washington State Forest. A little further, check into an RV resort at Panama City Beach and enjoy water sports along the Grand Lagoon.

West of Destin, scenic barrier islands stretch all the way to the Alabama border. You can hike to coastal marshes and pristine beaches, then pitch your tent right on the sand at the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Or, seek out a secluded beach or fishing spot along Okaloosa or Santa Rosa islands.

Coastal parks, campgrounds, and boat launches pepper the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, north of Destin. Heading inland, the rambling woodlands of Blackwater River State Forest provide plenty of opportunities for hiking, canoeing, and fishing, along with a choice of campgrounds.
When to go
Summer is peak season in Destin, when temperatures soar into the high 80s°F, and prices shoot up accordingly. Opt for a spring or fall visit to avoid the crowds—it will still be warm enough to hit the beach, and you can benefit from shoulder-season rates too. Many campgrounds stay open year-round, but be aware that seasonal activities and services may close down over winter.
Know before you go
- Destin has plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, and gas stations, and you’ll find several shops selling camping and outdoor supplies.
- Day-use fees apply in all Florida state parks, as well as campsite booking fees.
- Stingrays are common in the Gulf from May through October, so take care when swimming, and always follow warning flags and local advice. Bug spray is equally a must for coastal camping.
