Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. You'll enjoy watching Herbie the Scottish Highland peacefully graze from your rear window. Since this bank has a lot of gold, you may want to sit in the front porch rocking chairs and keep an eye out for any bandits! There is a tiny house, two bell tent yurts, mini-cabins and an entire Old West Village. YES! You can have friends and family rent other units and make this a group experience. You can also see all of our listings if you click our name (logo.) 5. What's the history of the ranch? The property is a horse stable and animal rescue for two decades. Local students take weekly horse lessons here and the public books guided educational tours and other activities. The ranch also produces a small amount of alpaca fiber and sheep wool that's sold yearly. 6. Can friends and family visit me while I'm at the ranch? No. The only people permitted to enter the property are registered guests. The public cannot access the property and we have a coded entrance gate. As a guest, you can expect to see other guests here, not people walking in off the street. 7. Can I catch a UBER or LYFT? Yes! You can easily catch a ride to Ocean City, Maryland, or beyond. You'll need to be picked up at the entrance gate, not at the barndominium. How about food delivery? Yes! Order Doordash or pizza delivery. Just plan to meet your driver at the entrance gate, not the barndominium. 8. Is there an option for early check-ins and late check-outs? The Swedish Cowboy space is located inside a barn and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited while inside the barn house or directly outside. The best place to smoke is by walking down the driveway or inside your car (away from the stable.) 12. How secure is the ranch? The property has six outdoor security cameras running and in use at all times. These outdoor security cameras help protect humans and animals alike. There's a coded entrance gate upon your arrival to the ranch and there is on-site management that is available during your stay. You cannot enter the property without a code and we ask that you do not give it out while you're here. 13. This home sleeps 4 guests *including* babies and children. Have more than 4? Which yurt should I choose? The main difference between the Painted Pony yurt and the Stargazer yurt is the roof and setting. The Stargazer yurt has a clear roof and sits in the open. (Keep in mind elements out of our control like wind, dust, and pollen counts can make the Stargazer yurt roof less clear.) The Painted Pony yurt, has a regular canvas roof and sits in the shade. Both yurts have 3-speed fans included and do not have AC or heat. 5. Extra guests in the yurt? The yurts have a strict 2-guest-only policy. 6. Can friends (not on my reservation) come visit me? No. All visitors here must be registered guests as the public is not granted access here. 7. How far is the beach? North Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island DE are both only 5-6 miles away. 8. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied Airbnbs on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. This bank themed cabin is light and bright due to the beautiful stained glass, and transom windows that let in the perfect moonlight. You'll enjoy watching Herbie the Scottish Highland peacefully graze from your rear window. Since this bank has a lot of gold, you may want to sit in the front porch rocking chairs and keep an eye out for any bandits! No. The only people permitted to enter the property are registered guests. The public cannot access the property and we have a coded entrance gate. The property has been a horse-rescuing ranch for over two decades and currently has two Old West mini-cabins, two yurts, a Garden Hideaway Tiny House, and a barndominium called the Swedish Cowboy all available to rent year-round. Cowtown Glamping Cabins will stay open for families, reunions, groups, organizations, retreats, and even the occasional western-themed wedding. The Painted Pony Yurt includes: -One queen size bed with unique southwest décor -Inside solar string lights with remote -Electric multi-speed fan (bring an extra fan in the summer) -Two zipped mesh windows with zipped canvas roll-down blinds -Two large zipped doorways - 100% waterproof canvas tent FAQ's 1. Can I bring my kids? Children must be ages 12yo and up for both yurts (Stargazer Yurt and Painted Pony ) however it's important to remember there is a 2-guest max due to fire code. 2. Can I bring my pet or service animals? No. We are ADA service animal exempt due to safety issues with animals on display that are natural prey/ natural predators of animals including dogs. We also not not allow pets due to this. 3. Can I smoke? The yurts are strictly NO smoking inside, no vaping and no marijuana smoking as the next guest will appreciate an odorless welcome and you'll avoid the extra "deep cleaning fee." 4. Which yurt should I choose? The main difference between the Painted Pony yurt and the Stargazer yurt is the roof and setting. The Stargazer yurt has a clear roof and sits in the open. (Keep in mind elements out of our control like wind, dust, and pollen counts can make the Stargazer yurt roof less clear.) The Painted Pony yurt, has a regular canvas roof and sits in the shade. Both yurts have 3-speed fans included and do not have AC or heat. 5. Extra guests in the yurt? The yurts have a strict 2-guest-only policy. 6. Can friends (not on my reservation) come visit me? No. All visitors here must be registered guests as the public is not granted access here. 7. How far is the beach? North Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island DE are both only 5-6 miles away. 8. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied Airbnbs on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. Also on-site, are Brush N' Bond horse grooming sessions, horse whispering lessons, and farm animal paint sessions. Once you book, send Shelley a message with your chosen ranch activity! 11. Do guests have access to the entire ranch? No, guests have access to the glampground, cornhole, and parking area here at the ranch. The rest of the property is reserved for our animal rescue (habitats) and fenced off for safety. Animals are easily viewed from all locations while the goats can be pet and fed anytime if you bring some baby carrots or string beans. 12. What sounds can I expect to hear? Expect to hear typical sounds of nature such as crickets, owls, and the crackling of a fire. In the morning, you'll hear our sweet goat trio, Charlotte the pig, and her excited "oinks" along with the occasional "moooo" and possibly a crow from the rooster and a "honk" from Petey our peacock who is ready for breakfast! 13. What should I bring? If you plan on doing "Chores N' Tour with Shelley and feeding all the farm animals, bring closed-toe shoes like sneakers or boots. No flip-flops or sandals are allowed on animal experiences. Unfortunately, we do not allow any pets and are service animal-exempt due to safety issues with on-site livestock guardians. Keep in mind we are a small ranch and while 1/2 of our property is open, the other 1/2 is livestock pastures and other Airbnb's. You cannot access the entire property due to safety reasons and our livestock habitats. You can however walk to the Old West Town, corn hole area, the new horseshoe pit, visit the goats and view the horses and cattle but we ask that you do not open animal gates. 4. Can I access the all animals? The tiny house has its own, barnyard of animals that consists of miniature goats, a fuzzy alpaca, a red-haired pig, and a parading pair of turkeys! To access all the animals you can opt for hour-long, Chores N' Tour with Shelley. Feed 20+ farm animals while learning about the history of the ranch. As a bonus, Shelley also tours any of the unoccupied rentals so you can plan your next stay! 5. What other rentals are at the ranch? There is a tiny house, two bell tent yurts, mini-glamping cabins and an entire Old West glampground at the ranch. YES! You can have friends and family rent the other units and make this a group experience. 6. What's the history of the ranch? The property was a horse rescue for two decades. Some students take horse lessons here and the public books guided educational tours and paint parties. The ranch also produces a small amount of alpaca fiber and sheep wool sold yearly. 7. Can friends and family visit me while I'm at the ranch? No. The only people permitted to enter the property are registered guests. The public cannot access the property and we have a coded entrance gate. As a guest, you can expect to see other guests but not unknown people off the street. We also ask you do not give out your temporary gate code while you are here. 8. Can I catch a UBER or LYFT? Yes! You can easily catch a ride to Ocean City, Maryland, or beyond. You'll need to be picked up at the entrance gate, not at the tiny house. How about food delivery? Yes! Order Doordash or pizza delivery just plan to meet your driver at the entrance gate, not the tiny house. 9. Is there an option for early check-ins and late check-outs? No. Because this property has multiple rentals, we do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. 10. Are activities for children a different price than adults? All of our on-site activities are the same price for everyone. 11. Can I bring my pet or service animals? No. We do not allow any guest animals or pets to stay with us due to regulations and safety issues. We are also service animal exempt due to safety issues with guardian livestock. 12. What is the smoking/ vaping policy? We operate a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy at all times inside all of our rentals. The Swedish Cowboy space is located inside a barn and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited while inside the barn house or directly outside. The best place to smoke is by walking down the driveway or inside your car (away from the stable.) 13. How secure is the ranch? The property has six outdoor security cameras running and in use at all times. These outdoor security cameras help protect humans and animals alike. There's a coded entrance gate upon your arrival to the ranch and there is on-site management that is available during your stay. You cannot enter the property without a code and we ask that you do not give it out while you're here. 14. What are the checkout procedures? We ask that our guests leave the tiny house the way they found it, (neat and tidy.) We love to brag about super clean guests who leave our home well cared for. What a fabulous time it was on this farm. I went in December so it was a bit cold. The owner was was very kind. She had already put a space heater in there and warms it up for me. If you don't like the cold then do not go in the cooler months but you ABSOLUTELY should go in the 3 other seasons. I loved meeting the horses and waking up to the sounds of a rooster. On the way out to this farm I saw a few other farms. I saw the biggest bald eagle I've ever seen in my life as well as peacocks. All this in NJ. This was an amazing experience.

The location is dreamy. It’s just minutes from Ocean City’s beaches, but the real magic is in the “jail cell” concept. The host nailed the theme without sacrificing comfort. The cell’s interior felt like a playful prison set, but with real amenities: a comfy queen bed, climate control (heat/AC), mini fridge, and even a smart TV stocked with apps and movies. Check-in was smooth (4–9 pm), and the host’s communication was prompt and friendly. They clearly thought through every detail — from the iron bars and faux cell door to the clever décor touches that made you smile. There’s no early check-in or late checkout, but that’s a small tradeoff given how unique the stay is. The surrounding grounds feel peaceful and private, adding just the right contrast to the playful “prison” interior. You’re close enough to town for restaurants, the beach, and shopping, but far enough to enjoy quiet evenings and starry skies.

Loredana made sure that we had all the instructions about the site, bathroom accommodations, and were set up for a lovely evening. Perfect sunset over the river, the horses came to visit, and we made some fantastic memories. Honestly, a perfect overnight for a group of seasoned campers and camping newbies.

Loredana's horse rescue farm is a apecial and unique getaway. She has put much love and charming touches throughout the property, and Loredana herself a kind soul. If you enjoy the presence of animals (especially horses, cats and a rooster) you will find it very magical to be amongst them. The cabin is very comfortable for one person, as well as the outdoor setup to chill, read, cook and enjoy a fire. Loved my stay and surely want to go back.

Exactly what I needed. I did a solo adventure and I am a single gal in her 20’s and felt completely safe! Loreadana was so nice and showed me around the entire property and introduced me to all the animals who were extremely friendly and safe! I slept in the single person enclosure and it did the trick just fine. Clean, had electricity. The bathroom is more of an outhouse vibe which I was completely fine with. The campsites looked super nice, definitely will try those next. And there is a large flowing creek near by where you can fish too! Great experience!
