We started hosting our Glamping site in May of 2021 and have enjoyed sharing the experience with guests from Australia, Italy, Mexico City and all over the USA! We are centrally located between Grand Junction/Montrose and the Paiona/Hotchiss/Crawford area of the Western Slope. Our glamping site is 100% private, located on a secluded part of the 130 acre Stargazer Ranch in Delta Colorado. Just 7 miles from town yet has zero light pollution allowing for amazing epic views of the night sky. The site offers stunning views of the San Juan mountains to the South and the Grand Mesa to the North. Behind you and bordering the property is the Gunnison Gorge/Black Canyon with miles of trails for hiking, biking, ATV'ing, dirt biking and horseback riding .The Grand Mesa has over 300 lakes to explore and we are 30 minutes away from a variety of wineries. Nestled at the base of Hayden Peak, the campground is located in a meadow encircled by old-growth aspen forests. Elk and deer are frequent visitors to our campground. Wildflowers abound here and night skies are full of stars. There is a level deck for eating, cooking, and relaxing. It includes a table that seats 8 and a stainless cooking surface, sink and Camp Chef stove. The area is completely off-the-grid so the camping is rugged. There is no cell reception, electricity, or water on site. Please pack it in, pack it out to keep the grounds as lovely as they were when you arrived. If you need showers, laundry facilities, water fill-up, or a dumping station, Ridgway State Park is about 25 minutes away.

David and Barb Cocetti purchased the ranch in June 2019 to embark on a new life where they could cultivate the land and be more self-sustaining. By following Biblical guidelines for work and agriculture, this land has come to life! It is proving to be an oasis where people find peace while enjoying the serenity of the surroundings. The clamping Cabin sits behind the horse arena and in front of Tongue Creek. It's the cutest little cabin and we mean little, more like an expertly finished big shed. It is 10x14 with a 3x14 covered porch but finished inside like a 5 star hotel. AC, TV, Wifi, fireplace, comfortable queen size bed. Beetle kill tongue and groove ceiling, cultured barn wood wanes coating. It's super nice. The ranch itself may be the reason for the "glamp" booking. The yard is manicured and the 25 house, goats and chickens are fun to see. The big plus is we are only 20 minutes away from the Grand Mesa outdoorsman mecca. This is probably the cheapest base camp to the Mesa. The ranch is a great base camp to wineries, Moab, Telluride, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, fishing, boating, hiking, trails and hundreds of open BLM land for Razor riding. Check us out.

Camp Stargazer is an absolute gem! Sean and Vickie have built an incredible campsite. It is very comfortable, has everything you need, and looking up at the stars is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Hands down the coolest bathroom experience of my life.. you'll see when you're there!

We enjoyed the site! Easy to drive to with clear directions, and lovely aspens and meadows to view. The local wildfires made for a some hazy conditions, but there was also a beautiful sunset. Overall a good experience!

This was a lovely sight. I was there mid-week in July, and didn't see another person my whole stay. The bathrooms are great, the access to the sink and BBQ was a nice bonus. I would suggest that if you are a solo camper not used to sleeping in the wild completely alone, you make sure this is right for you. If I didn't have my dog with me, I might have worked myself up and stayed awake all night. I would love come again with friends.

Weekend Trip to Tongue Creek Ranch

We had a great stay in the ranch for a couple of nights, Dave & Barb were kind and thoughtful hosts. We (our dog included) enjoyed walking around the ranch and saying hello to the horses every morning. The temperatures were high when we stayed but the cabin had an AC that kept us cool when needed, which we especially appreciated. The cabin felt private but not remote, which was perfect for our needs.

Amber makes the drive to the campground worth the trip. Felt safe and comfortable here. Facilities were clean. Wifi at the bathroom house was appreciated! (No RVS at the time of my stay, so I can't speak to that.) Encountered much wildlife and many cows. Would recommend! 👍

The property was very well maintained. The cabin was exactly as described in the listing. The property was quiet and seemed private. Being on a real ranch with horses, a cow, donkeys, some goats and chickens was an added bonus. There are many red winged blackbirds and doves on the property. The location was perfect for going on hikes nearby.

This place is a hidden gem. I really enjoyed the quaint and cozy vibes. The wood stove functioned well and kept the place hot. The wifi was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the friendly pupper dog. There was a potter poty , but no shower. As hiker's and backpackers we are okay with the rustic. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed.
