Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Camping here was absolutely wonderful! From the drive up to the view from the porch, the scenery was gorgeous. The site itself is a bit tricky to find which was my only issue. Otherwise the location is perfect, and the lodging was stocked with a multitude of useful resources. I would definitely visit again!

We had a great stay in the RV at Tina's! Would recommend. Gorgeous spot, easy to find even in the dark. She had the heater on for us before we arrived so it was nice and cozy. We loved the bench swing next to the propane fire ring. Bonus that you can use a propane fire ring even if there's a fire ban. The horses were polite and calm. It was a sweet and special experience stargazing with them right there next to us, just chilling in the moonlight on the other side of the fence. Whether they were keeping us company or maybe just enjoying the beautiful night, it was an unexpected highlight. Beds & pillows were comfy, we slept soundly. I LOVE vintage RVs, though sometimes they trigger my allergies. This one was great, no sniffles or sneezes for me. Everything was clean including the extra linens, blankets, pillows. The price felt fair, especially compared to an airbnb (plus - yay, no chore list!). And obviously it was so much better than a motel room - way more privacy and fun. We were glad we chose this spot and would recommend, thank you!

Staff was friendly and helpful, cabin was basic and comfortable. Good value for the money. The bathrooms were.. fine. Kids loved the pool which was an unexpected amenity. The arcade was filled with of classic arcade games but unfortunately many were out of service because, well, they were 30-40 years old. Lone Duck was comfortable, people were quiet and respectful, and overall completely adequate.

Booking the whole property felt like a secluded dream! Nights were so quiet and completely private, and it was wonderful letting the dogs roam off leash. The mountain views were unbeatable—especially with the evening fog rolling through. The patio was the perfect spot to watch hummingbirds and soak it all in, and the picnic table made a great place for dinner. We brought our own coffee setup and bedding, but there was a Coleman stove and some handy amenities available. The campsite itself was huge, with plenty of room for multiple tents and several fire pits to enjoy (when there isn’t a fire ban). The porta potty was where we parked our car, so it wasn’t a far walk at all!

We had SO MUCH FUN at Buckaroo Bunkhouse! It was perfect for the weekend for me, my kiddo, and our dog. The trailer was clean, cozy, and very thoughtfully equipped. The trailer had everything we could ask for or imagine: a grill, a firepit, a stovetop, coffee maker, fridge, a space heater, wifi, and plenty of blankets and towels. There's even AIR CONDITIONING. Seriously, if you're looking for a glamping experience elsewhere, see if they have AC and then come back to this listing. Extra bonus was how sweet and friendly the dogs on the property were--my dog became instant besties with one of them and she was completely pooped playing chase. Extra extra bonus--there was an exterior 120v so we were able to charge my EV overnight. As amazing as the space was, it was David who really made it 11/10. He was there to greet our arrival, walked us through the quirks of the camper, and was incredibly warm and generous and kind. He had the perfect balance of giving us space and privacy while also checking in to make sure we were okay. We felt safe and cared for the entire time we were there. We will absolutely be back to Buckaroo Bunkhouse!

We had such a relaxing stay at the primitive lodge. The views are mesmerizing. Being ready for the primitive aspect and knowing you’ll have to walk a bit to unload will make the trip more enjoyable. We’ve already discussed staying again but for longer next time.

The hosts were so accommodating and the location is in a scenic, but rather rural neighborhood. My daughter loved watching the horses from the window. It was the perfect size for us - two adults and a child. I would recommend! Bonus? It’s super close to great hikes and a BLM swimming hole!

I took my 18 yr old grandson, his friend & 2 dogs. It was perfect!! I don’t know who had more fun, the kids or dogs! The little dog barks at everything & it was so nice to have so much space to ourselves & not have to worry about it. Cole had everything there as backup. We brought blow up mattresses but didn’t need them because there was cushioning in the loft where the boys slept. We hiked & explored & found a beautiful feather, either owl or falcon, to add to the blue jay feather there. The views & the hummingbirds were the best! I can’t wait to go back! We got a little rain & it was nice to have a place to hang out & stay dry until it passed. We loved being here! Thank you so much Cole!

The Zella Hut is a cabin built in the late 1800's. It was redone in the 70's and recently updated with mid century modern interiors. Now it serves as a backcountry hut in the winter and glamping cabin in the summer. During the winter it can be accessed by skinning, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee. Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors. The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included. A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon). Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command. There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow). Feel free to message us with any questions you may have! **4WD or higher clearance AWD vehicles can make it up to the property.  We can also provide shuttle service in one of our 4WD vehicles at no additional charge.  Either way, we will meet and greet you at the entrance to Deer Creek Campground :)**

Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.
