Be near the park, but feel that complete privacy. These sites are very spaced out from each other and are large. No need to cram together! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch! We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We renovated our cabin fully in the summer of 2024, knocking out lots of closed in walls and gutting the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms completely changing a dated 80’s style cabin into a modern contemporary home. The renovation took us 6 months in total to complete, from the time we knocked out our first wall til the last appliance was installed. This is our family’s cabin we love to spend quality time together exploring outside, catching bugs, cooking s’mores on our large deck and stargazing at night! We love to share it with other families.

After a long day of exploration, come back to the campgrounds and relax by the firepit or enjoy a picnic in one of our many picnic areas. Activities in the campground include horseshoes, sand volleyball, sandbox for the kiddos and frisbee golf for all. We pride ourselves on blending nature and family camping in a safe, serene environment. We have one bathhouse with flushing toilets and heated showers; additional portables and vault toilets are located throughout the campground for convenience. Important notes: We are off-grid. There is no electricity in the campground with exception of a small solar powered system to operate our entry gate, guest Wi-Fi and intercom. Outlets are not available for guest use. All water is labeled non-potable. Guests may purify/filter at their discretion. Our campground is home to wildlife. You can minimize unwanted encounters by properly storing food and garbage. We have one central bathhouse with 3 flushing toilets. Sites vary in distance from a short walk to a short drive. The bathhouse has 4 shower stalls in the rear of the building. The bathhouse is closed from 10pm to 8am. The bathhouse does not have electricity or interior lighting. Our Hacienda section ("H" Sites) has vault toilets. Portables are located throughout the campground for your convenience. There is minimal privacy from other campers due to the placement of the sites and the way our trees and vegetation is trimmed for fire resistance. All guests and vehicles must be registered upon arrival.

The renovation took us 6 months in total to complete, from the time we knocked out our first wall til the last appliance was installed. This is our family’s cabin we love to spend quality time together exploring outside, catching bugs, cooking s’mores on our large deck and stargazing at night! We love to share it with other families.

At River Ranch Campgrounds, Tuolumne, CA we offer a range of activities to make your stay enjoyable. Take a hike on one of the many trails winding through the Stanislaus National Forest at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains, or cast a line in the North Fork of the Tuolumne River or Basin Creek for some great native fishing. After a long day of exploration, come back to the campgrounds and relax by the firepit or enjoy a picnic in one of our many picnic areas. Activities in the campground include horseshoes, sand volleyball, sandbox for the kiddos and frisbee golf for all. We pride ourselves on blending nature and family camping in a safe, serene environment. We have one bathhouse with flushing toilets and heated showers; additional portables and vault toilets are located throughout the campground for convenience. Important notes: We are off-grid. There is no electricity in the campground with exception of a small solar powered system to operate our entry gate, guest Wi-Fi and intercom. Outlets are not available for guest use. All water is labeled non-potable. Guests may purify/filter at their discretion. Our campground is home to wildlife. You can minimize unwanted encounters by properly storing food and garbage. We have one central bathhouse with 3 flushing toilets. Sites vary in distance from a short walk to a short drive. The bathhouse has 4 shower stalls in the rear of the building. The bathhouse is closed from 10pm to 8am. The bathhouse does not have electricity or interior lighting. Our Hacienda section ("H" Sites) has vault toilets. Portables are located throughout the campground for your convenience. There is minimal privacy from other campers due to the placement of the sites and the way our trees and vegetation is trimmed for fire resistance. All guests and vehicles must be registered upon arrival.

we’ve stayed at John’s farm 3 times now, once in spring and twice in late November. every time it has been so amazing! the property is gorgeous and there’s so much open grassy areas to wander and sit on a blanket and just enjoy being in nature and not hearing any sounds but cows mooing! the porta potty is always clean and the camping spaces are large and well equipped with fire pits and wood! i would highly recommend John’s land to anyone. thank you again for sharing your property, John!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp
We had an amazing stay here; the peaceful sound of the waterfall and the privacy made this spot feel like a hidden oasis. Only an hour from Yosemite and just a few minutes from town, it was the perfect balance of nature and convenience. This was the first camping trip for a couple members of our group, and the bar might be set way too high now, what a great introduction to the outdoors. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The flushable toilet and shower were clean and worked great, though they’re a short walk from the site, totally worth it for the comfort they provide. Highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet, tucked-away spot to relax and enjoy nature. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp
This campsite is so beautiful! It really is right next to the creek and a short easy walk to a waterfall. We tent camped and brought our 3 little dogs and it was perfect. The sound of the creek was so peaceful. It's completely under tree cover so always nice and shady. The switchbacks on the way there are really tight, I wouldn't recommend trying to drive a trailer down there. Attached to the owner's house there is a bathroom and shower, as well as trash and recycling cans. However, it is quite a trek uphill to get there, or you could drive back up the hill to get there. At the site there is a shed with a camp toilet, which worked fine for us. They also have a fire pit, hose for water, and an extension cord for electric but it's not true hookups. The owners also provided firewood for a reasonable fee and had it waiting for us when we arrived at the site and offered more if we needed it. The only real negative for us (which wasn't really that bad) is there is a very visible driveway and car park down the road which has a light on at all hours and people driving down to turn around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this gorgeous site!

2 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp
Love, love, loved our stay! It was raining but we car camped so it was ok! The host was kind and welcoming. The site was beautiful!! Right next to a little river and waterfall! The restroom and shower are next to the host’s garage which is quite a hike but there is a little shed with one of those bucket potty’s. We ended up using our own portable camp shower and potty the first night, but the second night we showered in their restroom after coming back from our trip to Yosemite before driving all the way back down to the camp site. The restroom was clean and well kept with a flushing toilet and warm water! The hosts had wood available for sale if you forget to pick some up. The wood pieces were huge and worth the price in my opinion. Kept us warm and cozy all night. I would 100% come back to camp here again!

What a gorgeous area! We had plans to for one more night in Yosemite but with impending snow we needed a last minute site outside of the park just in case! We had the camp to ourself with a gorgeous view of a storms iver the mountains from our camper. We would definitely come back!

I absolutely loved camping here. Wendy and Hudson are the perfect hosts. The property is stunning and one of a kind for the area. Another commenter said they would love to gate keep this place but the truth is this property and these hosts deserve to be seen. There is a bathroom with shower at the main house which is new and well kept as well as a bucket loo at the campsite which I found completely adequate. The falls and creek were so amazing and peaceful to see and fall asleep to. Very solo camper friendly. I can't wait to go back ❤️

This location was wonderful! We planned last minute to visit Yosemite and had no idea how wonderful of a stay we would have! Wow! You can't beat it! Warm showers and towels and really nice bathrooms! We plugged in and also had access to WIFI....what a treat! WE feel so SPOILED! Who knew! Thanks so much to the hosts for thinking of everything including really nice body wash/ shampoo in the showers. Brilliant!

Cool spot to stay for easy access into Yosemite. We could be in Mariposa Grove in 30 minutes. Spacious, private camp site with table, chairs, fire ring, electricity, water, potty, and beautiful surroundings. Easy drive to Oakhurst for supplies.

Such a cool spot! Not your typical campground…loved being on a cattle ranch with open spaces, watching the cows and hearing them moo and the donkeys bray. Lots of space to roam with our two big dogs, very quiet and peaceful. We were in our campervan. Plenty of space between sights, fire pits and firewood aplenty. Highly recommend if you like something a little different. Oh and the sunset was spectacular!
