We are in the Mojave Desert, 27 miles east of Tecopa, California off the Old Spanish Trail. We are halfway between the bright lights of Las Vegas and the expansive starry skies of Death Valley. A few generations ago roamed here the Shoshone Tribe. At the same time, pioneers from the East traveled on the Old Spanish Trail which crosses our own land. Now, a few of us who enjoy the great space and silence are creating with the earth. We build comfortably, off-grid, with the challenges of unpredictable weather and extreme climate. Some of us, like me, guided by a passion to create space in and with this earth, build with earthbags and bottles. In Spring, 2015, we began building. Slowly, thanks to like-minded, enthusiastic helpers, we grow! We enjoy sharing this space with others, like You?! who also love the hum of our planet Earth, its critters, and being in touch with our own selves. Sleep in this unique, magical place, wrapped in the arms of the Earth. Bring in, take out! BE responsible for yourselves and for our fragile desert!

Death Valley Camp

Our 8-acre property is located in the Mojave Desert surrounded by BLM land and nearby Death Valley National Park. One of the first vineyards in Nevada, we grow 5 varietals of grapes and make wine on-site. We offer guests camping, glamping, and an RV site. Camping and Glamping sites are located next to the vines and include picnic tables, shared composting toilets, kitchenette (bbq, gas cooktop), and an outdoor shower in our rustic bathhouse. We also have a community area "The Wine Hall" with ping-pong, refrigerator, microwave, and water cooler. Outside our gates, enjoy biking, hiking, scrambling, and exploring the Amargosa Desert and nearby Skeleton Hills. Nearby attractions include Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge (30-minutes) and Death Valley National Park (45-minutes). We have spent a lot of time in the park and are happy to answer questions, make suggestions, or even take you on a tour.

Tranqvillium was purchased in 2016 with the intention of creating Gaia Earthen Technologies Sustainable Living Educational and Research Center. Construction started in 2016 and now we have our first temporary building and working on the others. The daily operation is run by Tranqvillium, an intentional community of people who don't like to spend their money on rent and utility bills.Learn more about this land:The location is about an hour west of Las Vegas in the California Mojave Desert. Even though the lights of Vegas are visible on the Eastern horizon, above Tranqvillium there is no light pollution and the entirety of the visible part of the Milky Way is shining down on us. Tecopa Hot Springs is 30 min West from us, along with China Ranch date farm. From China ranch it's a 40 min hike through Mars like terrain to a swimming hole complete with a small waterfall, where the Amargosa River comes above ground. The ancient lake bed where Tranqvillium is located is surrounded by medium height mountains, which are perfect for rock scrambling, and the world famous Red Rock climbing site is nearby too. The place is very rugged and is recommended for experienced campers who are not taken aback by wilderness living.

The closest town for gas and food is Pahrump which is about 20 minutes away. My place is perfect if you want to get away from the city for a little bit. Or if you are traveling the country in your RV, trailer, or tent! My place is very unique if you are looking for a different place to stay other than a RV park. Good vibes only. :) Learn more about this land: I am located one hour away from Death Valley National Park and twenty minutes from Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge and Devil's Hole. Get out of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature when you stay in this unique place. Local Deer and fox roaming the area if you are lucky to see them. Wake up to a gorgeous mountain/valley view , BBQ during the day and enjoy smore's with the firepit at night. Miles of hiking right off the property and in the surrounding areas. Lots of local dirt bike and side by side riders in the area as well. There are virtually no neighbors. You will feel as though you have the entire valley to yourself! 4-wheel drive highly recommended and it is off-road/ off-grid driving... I have seen 2-wheel and Tesla's make it up there as well, you will need to be a confident driver.

You can visit Treasures with a monthly subscription or daily pass and have full access to laundry, pools, hot tub, showers, bathrooms, Mark’s restaurant AAA+ food, gambling, and the bowling alley right across the street, and still return easily to this private lot. Treasures is a great little oasis to visit, and a short walk back to camp and have more privacy then staying directly on treasures site and avoiding vehicle age requirements.There are cactus ,sage, river rock and an old desert tortoise you might spot named Mort on the property. It’s a small plot of land but it will fit up to you a 45 foot bus or a truck and longer trailer. I have parked my 40’ school bus conversion there from time to time.the property is right outside of Pahrump in a convenient location with beautiful Mountain View’s. Treasures RV park is right across the street and makes for a perfect desert oasis near death Valley.
