Camp Stoney Meadows

Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California.   

It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.  

We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED!  PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here.  Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us.  The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! 

No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Electricity & internet remain available.
Hot Tub open (pool closed).
Tent camping is closed in winter, but RV guests are welcome year-round.

Welcome to Cave Springs, a mid-century modern resort in Dunsmuir, California. 

Located just off the I-5 freeway, our resort is an ideal basecamp for exploring the dynamic beauty of Northern California: nestled along the Sacramento River in premiere fly fishing territory, minutes away from countless waterfalls and hiking, and a 10 minute drive from stunning Mt. Shasta.

Oak Ring Ridge

We originally purchased the 20 acres of untouched land and built our cabin, the "Snug Shack,"&nbsp;as a getaway from the city.&nbsp;Fast forward a few years, and 40 acres next door with an abandoned house on the canyon ridge went up for sale. We decided to purchase it and start a homestead there. That 40 acres&nbsp;where we now live was badly abused, and we have been in the process of cleaning up and restoring it.&nbsp;Fortunate for you, the land surrounding the Snug Shack was never abused and is still pristine and beautiful.&nbsp;By camping at the Snug Shack, you help support us in our mission to restore this beautiful place.We named our homestead after the rings of small oak trees that grow here on the ridge.: "Oak Ring Ridge." The footprint of the Snug Shack is 120 square feet. There is enough room downstairs on the floor for an air mattress or camping mat, or a roll-away folding bed is available for an additional rental fee. 

Enjoy beautiful views from your bed in the sleeping loft. The mattress is a full size, bring your own bedding or sleeping bags.

This is the "wooden tent" microcabin, about 250ft across the field from the Snugshack. An available included sleeping option for parties with more than two people.

This little cabin is located in Cedar Pines Rv Resort.

Mountain House Cabin & Tent

This beautiful 160-acre property is surrounded by national forest and sits high atop Gazelle/Callahan Road, overlooking Scott Valley, Gazelle, AP Cattle Ranch, China Mountain, the Trinity Alps, the Russian Mountains, and offering views of Mt. Shasta, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Ashland.

The hand-built and milled furnished cabin sleeps three and features an outdoor fireplace with spectacular views. Enjoy multiple shooting ranges up to 800 yards and trails leading to seasonal creeks. Stargazing and photography are among the highlights, with cleared camping pads for vehicles located around the compound—some offering 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges and valleys below.

A 4x4 vehicle is not required but is strongly recommended.

Charcoal grills are provided for all cabins.

Juniper Spur Ranch

Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch!  Directions:  GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive.  There is a green pipe rail gate at the end.  This gate has a combination lock.  You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival.   If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road.  Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end. 

We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.

There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose. 

Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. 

Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.

Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

I call it the SOUNDSCAPE OASIS. I am a musician and sound healer and can offer private or group sessions upon request. I look forward to meeting you.
