Currently, we're home to 2 chihuahuas, 2 Australian Cattle Dogs (Lily, Alberto, Julio - aka Formerly known as The Three Chimigos and Oakley & Eddie the blue heelers), 4 pot belly pigs (Michael, Falkor, Meg, & Ayla - aka The Three Little Pigs +1), a mini horse (Phinneas), a mini donkey (Donkey), and a Buckskin Quarter Horse (Tivio), two lambs (Dolly & Reba), and 4 alpacas (Fern, Woodrow, Gandalf, & Gus). We have a lot of flat, usable space, but we also have some impressive boulders, hidden nooks and crannies to explore, and beautiful, mature trees. It's our little slice of heaven! Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on). **WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. The Little Red Barn is a cozy and comfortable glamping stay located conveniently near Valley Parkway in Escondido, close to shops, restaurants, and great hiking at Elfin Forest. It’s one of three glamping structures on the property. The high ceilings and additional loft mattress make the barn feel spacious, and we appreciated the little touches like electricity, a fan, and a heater for cooler nights. The shared bathroom area was clean, modern, and had reliable hot water — a big plus! There’s plenty of shared outdoor space with picnic tables, lounge chairs, and seating areas, making it a great place to relax. We didn’t even need to use the heater during our mid-October stay — the weather was perfect. This spot is a great introduction to camping for those who want the outdoor feel without being too far from the city. Our pup loved exploring the space (though the $50 pet fee is a bit on the higher side). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, laid-back glamping experience close to town!

Everything was great. Place and people were all amazing. We took the tour and really enjoyed it. The only thing that I wasn’t used to from past farms we have stayed at- they usually welcome you to help and interact with the animals if you are staying on property but here they didn’t. For the record, that wasn’t offered in the listing, I kinda just assumed it from past experiences and that was wrong. Overall, great place and great people!!

Weekend Trip to Robin's Nest

We loved spending time in the Sovereign Airstream! It was a weekend of firsts for my son - first camp fire, first s’more, and first time feeding farm animals! It was a wonderful way to introduce my son to camping in a way that reduced the pressures of the wild on a toddler (and me). Highly recommended! And Kimber was a wonderful host! We did the animal feeding experience, which was a treat and something my son won’t stop talking about. 10/10, will absolutely do again

The tent is really cute and welcoming. We had little trouble locating it at first due to GPS instruction. The tent has nice and comfortable blankets and bed / couch mattress are comfortable. Overall it is great stay. However. There is only one shared bathroom & shower for 3 units (which can total up to 10 people if fully occupied).. it will be nice to have an extra bathroom.

Phenomenal! My daughter and I visited Robin’s Nest for a girls Glamping weekend and had the best time ever. The Airstream was awesome with everything we needed to stay comfy and cozy including a brand new king size mattress. The property was amazing and we loved being surrounded by the animals (the animal feeding is a MUST). We made good use of all the many amenities and were constantly impressed with the consistently thoughtful attention to detail. Best trip ever, and we cannot wait to come back!

We had a fantastic time this weekend at JoLynn's place. It's a beautiful piece of land with great views and plenty of space to explore in the chaparral. The cabin was great and the heater was enough to keep it comfortable at night. I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful stay in the mountains.

This was a very cute glamping spot. Easy to find and safely nestled on the property of the owner. You can tell the owner has put their heart and soul into decorating and furnishing the site. It is very “homey” and the bed was very comfortable and the yurt was extremely spacious. In fact, they had it set up like a little studio apartment!

Our family absolutely loved the Robin's Nest! A safe and beautiful property for our kids to roam, and the Airstream was perfect in every way! My family and I kept commenting "they thought of everything!" From small touches like complimentary snacks, to clean and tidy spaces with all the appliances, kitchen items, and signage needed, the Airstream was an excellent experience. We also did the Farm Tour add-on with our kids, which was totally worth it - they loved it! They especially loved the tortoises, alpacas, and Bandit the farm cat! Kimber was a fantastic host, with spot-on communication and service. We would absolutely stay here again if we're in the area. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. The tent was decorated beautifully. The tent and bathroom was really clean. The tent was roomy and had exactly what you need including a tv, minifridge and heater. The outdoor communal area was great. You can tell the host cares deeply about offering a great space. She even had games and books in the tent to keep entertained. It was a great experience waking up to birds chirping. I would 100% rebook this.

Tons of outdoor space with a great view and ambience, close to restaurants and Main Street but still an escape from the city, extremely clean and well stocked, but best of all was the hospitality! Alina’s place was amazing! The site has great views of the valley below and is located a short commute from Stone Brewery & Restaurant, the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park. The tent was comfortable and came with a heater and Alina was a great host who made sure we had everything we needed. She prepared s’mores for the kids and all instructions were clear and easy. I would definitely recommend her place to others. It’s ideal if you’re going to the San Diego parks.
