Learn more about this land:A vast expanse of oak trees, California Junipers and rugged, mountainous land running with jackrabbits, quail, and owls that is just 3 miles from Vazquez Rocks and the PCT, our ranch transports you. From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. The campsite is a large flat area. For a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet with strong sun during the day and cool mountains air at night. The camping is set away from structures, but if you want to stroll, closer to the ranch buildings, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested and horses and a donkey to say hello to across the corral fence.

The previous reviews stating this place was a scam made me skeptical. I'm glad I went with my gut and went anyways. Kyles space is great! Its fun and rustic. He is very welcoming and a great guy. I did not stay in a yurt, but I saw them and they looked cool. The out house was probably the cleanest out house i have ever used. Tip - if youre interested in dirt biking, you have to ask kyle for a link to sign up and reserve a bike or ATV in advance. Also - turns out the place is close to MTN High ski resort. Wish we had known because we would have brought our gear. Definitely recommend this place for a weekend camping trip or even a stop over if youre on the road and need somewhere to sleep.

Beautiful spot with a little creek running thru the property. Lots of nature with birds and frogs singing. Close to a cafe and a restaurant and not too far from shopping, laundry etc. A great getaway.

Star ranch is a beautiful secluded property that had plenty of room for our dog to roam off leash. The stars at night were beautiful, and the A frame and kitchen area were very comfortable. The flush toilet and shower were extremely nice touches, and the shower got very hot and had great water pressure. We only occasionally heard road noise, and the property felt truly private. We will definitely be back in the future

This was such a great setup! We do not go camping often, so I wanted to book a spot that was between camping and “glamping”. This was that perfect inbetween! It does get pretty cold at night during the fall/winter, so make sure to pack plenty of extra layers and blankets. The campsite was very well taken care of, and there weren’t even any bugs inside the A frames. He even included a propane tank, which was great since we forgot to bring one! We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for camping near LA

Had a great time staying here with my family! Everything was so clean , there was cell service so that was nice ! Also some things to note there is a cooking area just no fridge so bring ice and a cooler! No water heater so the shower was cold but felt nice!!! There is a working toilet on site so that was amazing! Two A frames one with a king size bed which was very comfortable it can get windy throughout the day and night but honestly wasn’t a big deal. There’s a port to charge things and some night lights We brought a portable dvd player so once it got dark we were inside the A frame

The site is so great to go camping with a group. Some of us actually used our own tents, some who couldn’t handle the cold used the a-frames that are available. It was a nice little getaway from the cities and all the noise. The stars are sooo pretty at night. I brought my dogs and it was great, I didn’t have to worry about them at all, granted they are trained. They were wandering around and the site is far away from at street, that I let them do their own thing. The girls liked it so much, one of them is coming back with her family to enjoy the sight again.

Lisa was amazing, showed us around the entire property walking around barefoot like a true warrior! We stayed at the campsite near the trailer, which was nice and roomy and had room for our big family tent. Close to the beach and some cool cafés nearby in Topanga canyon. Would highly recommend!

Osman and his family have created such an inviting and comfortable environment. A labor of love you can appreciate. The communication and attention on their end was fantastic. We got our car stuck in the sand and Osmans dad saved us by getting us out! (He made magic happen) One of the A frames is shorter and smaller so WATCH YOUR HEAD. Its still very comfortable and cute They provide fans and lanters per A frame. THE BED IN BIG A FRAME IS SO VERY COMFORTABLE. A battery powers a small charging station inside as well The kitchen and firepit area were niceley spaced and very comfortable to cook and work with. Everything was clean and well kept. They have a pool as well but we used it as extra table space. Shower is best during peak heat hours (after 12 pm) WIND is inevitable in the desert so youll have to take that up with god and be prepared for wind and nature. Wind does help with heat so i was grateful for it We saw two shooting stars our first night there. You have your own private walking trail and youve got the place to yourself. 10 acres(: I cant wait to return. Thank you to Osman and his incredible family again. You guys have done a wonderful job
