We have NO size or slide out restrictions, our spots were built with your comfort in mind. Adjacent dirt, public access and forest service roads are available for off highway motorsports while it's still stays pretty quiet on location at Fox Pass. Great launch site for tourists wanting to visit Mt. Magazine State Park, Mulberry River Adventures, Mt. Nebo State Park, Jack Creek Rec Area, Blue Mountain Reservoir Paris, AR. and more.
It's also a Great launch site for hwy motorcycle enthusiast who will love the scenic curvy, low traffic highways in the area such as the Pig Trail Hwy to Eureka Springs, The Hwy 10 and 7 run to Hot Springs and the famous Hwy 7 run from I 40 north through Jasper to Harrison. All incredibly beautiful paved roads to ride.
Fox Pass is conveniently located half way between Hot Springs, AR and Eureka Springs, AR, both popular tourist spots w Hot Baths, Local Arts, Shopping, Fine Dining and more in the 'Springs' towns. The national forest is also accessible via Roger’s Pass and an easement. Bring your ATVs!If you like spectacular sunrises then this is the place for you. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera! The Legendary Talimena Byway is just a few miles down the road; a 54 mile winding wonderland across the backs of the mighty Winding Stair and Ridge Mountains with dozens of pull-offs and vistas that are a feast for the senses. Plenty of Ouachita’s endless hiking trails can be accessed from the byway. Kayaking the incredible Kiamichi river can also be on your agenda. My husband and I built this tiny cabin with our bare hands. No equipment, no other help. We wanted something to share with family, friends and anyone else looking to get away from this overly modern and exhausting world. It seems places like this available to people are disappearing. Family oriented activities such as horseshoes, corn hole, rope swing, community fire ring w free fire wood provided (bring your marshmallows).
Adjacent dirt, public access and forest service roads are available for off highway motorsports while it's still stays pretty quiet on location at Fox Pass. Great launch site for tourists wanting to visit Mt. Magazine State Park, Mulberry River Adventures, Mt. Nebo State Park, Jack Creek Rec Area, Blue Mountain Reservoir Paris, AR. and more.
It's also a Great launch site for hwy motorcycle enthusiast who will love the scenic curvy, low traffic highways in the area such as the Pig Trail Hwy to Eureka Springs, The Hwy 10 and 7 run to Hot Springs and the famous Hwy 7 run from I 40 north through Jasper to Harrison. All incredibly beautiful paved roads to ride.
Fox Pass is conveniently located half way between Hot Springs, AR and Eureka Springs, AR, both popular tourist spots w Hot Baths, Local Arts, Shopping, Fine Dining and more in the 'Springs' towns. Locally there are restaurants, fast food and groceries in nearby Paris, AR or Booneville, AR. Also only 4 miles from 'The Barn at Meadowbrook' venue.

Morning Light Mountain Lodge is our 5.7 acre dream come true on the side of Round Mountain in the Ouachita Mountains. We have several beautiful hiking trails and two breathtaking vistas at which to gaze at the picturesque mountains in the distance. “Meandering Trail” takes you to where the property borders the gigantic Ouachita National Forest. Keep going if you please. It’s 1.8 Million acres of wilderness made just for you! A true hunters paradise teeming with deer and other wildlife. The national forest is also accessible via Roger’s Pass and an easement. Bring your ATVs!If you like spectacular sunrises then this is the place for you. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera! The Legendary Talimena Byway is just a few miles down the road; a 54 mile winding wonderland across the backs of the mighty Winding Stair and Ridge Mountains with dozens of pull-offs and vistas that are a feast for the senses. Plenty of Ouachita’s endless hiking trails can be accessed from the byway. Kayaking the incredible Kiamichi river can also be on your agenda. Check out paddlers websites and forums for details and ideal entry points. Anyone like fishing? Oklahoma’s premier Bass fishing lake, Cedar Lake is a short 20 minute drive. My husband and I built this tiny cabin with our bare hands. No equipment, no other help. We wanted something to share with family, friends and anyone else looking to get away from this overly modern and exhausting world. It seems places like this available to people are disappearing. We wanted to bring it back. Hopefully you'll love it and respect it!

The tree house is very cozy with beautiful views and efficient use of space. We really enjoyed early morning and twilight on the deck- the sun shade was very nice. We spent the afternoon under the deck, chilling in hammock chairs and playing board games in the shade. The AC inside kept the sleeping space nice and cool on a 90 degree day. Jasmine is a gracious hostess, you can see so many thoughtful and artistic touches everywhere. Look for her hand crafted glass markers along the trail in the draw! Mount Magazine was a stunning day trip, a scenic 30 minute drive away. We enjoyed our time here :-)

Amazing area to camp by the river. It’s unique to find a camp site that can be enjoyed in all four seasons. I visited for the beginning of the new year…2026! Additionally, It’s the first hip camp that I have been able to let my dogs off leash. It’s been three days since arriving home and they are still recovering from all the freedom and fun. We also enjoyed having a campfire, grill and picnic table. The shelter was spacious and overlooked the river. I was looking for a place to pray, hike, bike and kayak. I found all the plus the the quiet and peace at the End of the Trail. Wentz was a great host who answered all of my questions and provided many ideas for other adventures. It’s an incredible value financially considering you also get to kayak as much as you want as provided as part of the Hipcamp shelter. It only took five hours to get away from
Kansas City. Immediately , I got to enjoy the river and explore the Ouachita national forest. My favorite part of the day was watching the sunset over the mountains. I was double blessed with a full moon and numerous stars. I hope to come back and share my love of this site with my Grandson. If you enjoy nature, camping and adventure, you will love the End of the Trail!

This is a magical place!!! It is in a very secluded area. Had to pass a small creek which I was scared to do in my car that’s low to the ground, but it probably could have made it. Great place to have a fire and look at the stars. The only thing I wish is that we had more time!!! It was peaceful listening to the river at night. Also saw deer.

Weekend Trip to Fox Pass Retreat and Campground
Fox Pass Retreat is just that- a retreat! It's located in a quiet area between/20 minutes away from Paris and Booneville, which are big enough to have all the amenities. It's a pretty area with lots of nature to watch for. I stayed in their treehouse for the weekend. The hosts, Jasmine and Roger, graciously extended my stay on the front end when they had a cancellation. They have put a lot of thought into this getaway, with artistic touches, including Jasmine's stained glass creations, areas for kids to play, and a map of the hiking trails on their land. Jasmine and Roger were very kind and accessible, eager to chat or leave me to myself. They're the kind of folks you'd want to keep in touch with.
