Camp is across the road from 30+ miles of world-class IMBA designed mountain biking and hiking trails at the Northwoods Trails - voted the Best Trails in Arkansas by riders. Green, blue and black single track, multi-track, flow trails, jump lines and the Lucky 13 expert section. From the Northwoods, connect to the National Park’s Sunset Trail of stunning views (11 miles hiking only) –or- the Pullman Trail to downtown/Park Avenue (.65 mile moderate hiking/biking). Catch a trail head at Cedar Glades Park adjacent to camp with 10 more miles of trails for mountain biking or hiking connecting to the Northwoods, a bike skills park, 18 holes of disc golf, 3-story tree house, kite flying field, amphitheater, picnic pavilion, playground, remote control airfield and car track. 20 minute drive to Mid-America Science Museum, Magic Springs Water Park, Garvan Woodland Gardens, quartz crystal digging sites, and Lakes Hamilton, Catherine, DeGray and Ouachita. Uber and taxi services are available to pick up and drop off at the camp driveway entrance - 500 yard walk to Fern Dell or leave your car parked next to the driveway. One is near the driveway and the other is more secluded and accessible by walking a short trail. Other things to note The property is on a dirt road and there is a one lane bridge to cross. We live onsite and travel it everyday in a minivan. WiFi is available inside and next to the apartment. It's adequate for streaming but may go out during a storm. Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. If you have qualms about being alone in the woods -- this is NOT the place!! There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are always out of sight and hearing of any -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire property all to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are also now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin is soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river. BUT this is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties either Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. PLEASE -- we don't want to be bothered with phone calls and text messages -- not here anyway. Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. Weekend Trip to Pinnacle Bus Stop~ Blue Bungalow

A quick weekend trip to Little Rock was fantastic; the Pinnacle Bus was a real highlight. Quick and easy find, located a short ride into town. The bus was cozy, clean and set up with all the extras (fire pit was a favorite!). We loved staying here, big reccommendations!

Nice spot but had issues with the reservation. They thought I reserved a couples dome when I got the dome for 4 people. So I thought. Their reservation system didn’t show what Hipcamp reserved for me. The staff was apologetic and brought an extra bed. Not a comfortable one but they tried. We also ended up with less on the deck. There was only one hanging chair when the dome I reserved was supposed to have 2.

Beautiful piece of property. We had a blast swimming in the creek. The cabin was clean and cozy. Our dog had a blast exploring the area with us as well. You definitely need a vehicle with decent ground clearance to access the sites by the creek.

We absolutely loved our time here!! There were a few other campers at campsites pretty far away from us. We usually camp in our Rooftop Tent but decided to enjoy the cabin for this weekend and it was really cozy and fun! The views of the creek were gorgeous!!

Weekend Trip to Fox Pass Retreat and Campground

The tree house is very cozy with beautiful views and efficient use of space. We really enjoyed early morning and twilight on the deck- the sun shade was very nice. We spent the afternoon under the deck, chilling in hammock chairs and playing board games in the shade. The AC inside kept the sleeping space nice and cool on a 90 degree day. Jasmine is a gracious hostess, you can see so many thoughtful and artistic touches everywhere. Look for her hand crafted glass markers along the trail in the draw! Mount Magazine was a stunning day trip, a scenic 30 minute drive away. We enjoyed our time here :-)

Absolutely incredible place to stay if you're going to Hot Springs. Great location that is maybe a five drive from the main street next to all the Bath Houses. The cabin was amazing, beautifully furnished, hot tub and grill both worked great, and they had everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Walked the property and all of the other options at Starlight Haven looked just as good. We will be coming back, hopefully soon!

1 night at Fern Dell: Secluded Woodland Glamp

I reserved the site for an outdoor date. If yall want an easy night to pull up and camp with all the amenities this is the place! Great spot for sunset views, close to cedar glades park and all its hikes, camp fire with wood on site, kitchen, bathroom, hammock, literally easy camping mode and my date loved it. Brought my own food but and there were cooking utensils, oil, some spices, and easy clean up. The host was easy to contact and they answered all my questions.

The location and asthetics were amazing! We loved how clean the place was but also how organized! It was cozy and modern. The hot tub was ready and clean. The windows finally the bubbles and cabinets were positions so that they couldn't face each other or see inside each other. It was a smart way to keep it private. Also, the hosts were very quick to respond with any request and helps us quickly resolve a booking snafu caused by us. I would definitely recommend this place!

Weekend Trip to Fox Pass Retreat and Campground

Fox Pass Retreat is just that- a retreat! It's located in a quiet area between/20 minutes away from Paris and Booneville, which are big enough to have all the amenities. It's a pretty area with lots of nature to watch for. I stayed in their treehouse for the weekend. The hosts, Jasmine and Roger, graciously extended my stay on the front end when they had a cancellation. They have put a lot of thought into this getaway, with artistic touches, including Jasmine's stained glass creations, areas for kids to play, and a map of the hiking trails on their land. Jasmine and Roger were very kind and accessible, eager to chat or leave me to myself. They're the kind of folks you'd want to keep in touch with.

Very clean. Hot water and pressure was great. Hostess was very quick to respond. Cabin is close to main road but was quiet, we did not hear any road noise but it is located away from town. Convient store was up front made it easy if you needed anything or just wanted to walk over to get breakfast or lunch. Everything you need was provided. No stove but microwave was present. We just needed a place to lay down our head a couple of nights after a long day at an event. Served our purpose and was much cheaper than a hotel and quieter because you don't have people coming up and down the hall way and people all around. You have your own personal space which was nice. Would rent again.
