There are a series of washes on the road to the property. They are easily passable without issue by my GMC Savana and my friend’s long-wheelbase Promaster. I haven’t tried, nor have I seen, a vehicle with a trailer drive up here yet. As a four-year vanlifer who has lived on much BLM land, I’ve seen trailers make it up worse roads. A quiet, safe patch of sand and mesquite just 15 miles from Bisbee and 22 miles from Douglas. Located on a sandy road one mile off Frontier Rd. Turn west onto W. Calle de Amigos from Frontier Rd. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, and you can see the Milky Way at night despite a little light pollution from Agua Prieta, Douglas, and Bisbee. There is no offensive road noise, and only an occasional small aircraft in the distance. It’s bare-bones dry camping—water, groceries, and trash disposal are all pack-it-in, pack-it-out. The property is planned for regreening and wildlife habitat. When booking, I can provide detailed directions, current road conditions, and guidance on where to park once you arrive. I don’t recommend trailers, as they may have issues with the three washouts along the road—but it’s at your discretion. Vans, trucks, and even cars are able to reach the property without any problem. It’s best not to drive up the road in the rain, as it gets very muddy. Waiting an hour or more after rainfall is ideal to give the water time to drain off a bit. Frontier Rd is prone to closure during heavy rains and has many washes that can hold water for days, though locals still get through. Use your best judgment.

Off-Grid Adventure: Since we're living that sustainable off-grid dream, we work with what we call a composting "outhouse" rather than a traditional septic system. We take extra steps to keep the dogs quite for you at night during your stay, but its a high probability they will bark at you.

We back up to the San Pedro Riparian Area, and the San Pedro River, offering hiking, birding, wildlife watching, and other recreational activities. The roads leading to the property from Hereford Road are dirt that are regularly maintained, but you may experience some washboard along the way depending on the season. Cochise County is dark sky country. After viewing those amazing Arizona sunsets, cast your eyes on the night sky, and see stars and the Milky Way like you've never experienced before! Experience the abundant wildlife that comes through the property. Birds, Javelina, deer, listen to the coyotes howl. It simply is magical! Bird watching: Experience hundreds of different species of birds in Cochise County (485 at last count). Lots of different hummingbirds (we're the hummingbird capital of the United States), hawks, sparrows, roadrunners, cactus wren, quail, and the list goes on. Be sure to hike down the San Pedro River, or to Ramsey Canyon to see even more! Hiking: With an abundance of canyons in the area, there's hiking opportunities all around us! A short 10 minute drive lands you at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains with Ramsey Canyon, Miller Canyon, Carr Canyon, and many more! But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area. There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. There are a series of washes on the road to the property. They are easily passable without issue by my GMC Savana and my friend’s long-wheelbase Promaster. I haven’t tried, nor have I seen, a vehicle with a trailer drive up here yet. As a four-year vanlifer who has lived on much BLM land, I’ve seen trailers make it up worse roads. A quiet, safe patch of sand and mesquite just 15 miles from Bisbee and 22 miles from Douglas. Located on a sandy road one mile off Frontier Rd. Turn west onto W. Calle de Amigos from Frontier Rd. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, and you can see the Milky Way at night despite a little light pollution from Agua Prieta, Douglas, and Bisbee. There is no offensive road noise, and only an occasional small aircraft in the distance. It’s bare-bones dry camping—water, groceries, and trash disposal are all pack-it-in, pack-it-out. The property is planned for regreening and wildlife habitat. When booking, I can provide detailed directions, current road conditions, and guidance on where to park once you arrive. I don’t recommend trailers, as they may have issues with the three washouts along the road—but it’s at your discretion. Vans, trucks, and even cars are able to reach the property without any problem. It’s best not to drive up the road in the rain, as it gets very muddy. Waiting an hour or more after rainfall is ideal to give the water time to drain off a bit. Frontier Rd is prone to closure during heavy rains and has many washes that can hold water for days, though locals still get through. Use your best judgment.
