Camping here in Coconino County north of Ash Fork and Seligman, down 10 miles of isolated dirt road - this is far enough away to feel remote and surrounded by nothing but ancient trees. Yet there are many cool destinations not far away: Once you get out to the highway, Williams is 30 minutes away so you can plan you visit to the Grand Canyon or ride the Grand Canyon Railway. Another 30 minutes in that direction to reach Flagstaff with its skiing, nightlife, observatory, and eclectic culture. Continue exploring and you can visit the red rocks of Sedona, the natural caves of Peach Springs, and the crystal-blue waterfalls at Havasupai. While you're camping, enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by meadows and ancient Juniper trees. Bring your fifth wheel, camper, toyhauler, or even your tent. Bring as many friends with you as you'd like - there's plenty of space. Sit around a campfire of sweet-smelling Juniper wood while you roast marshmallows. We loved camping on Luis's land. The view was perfect and Luis was very communicative and made sure we got to our spot. The GPS worked for us and we enjoyed our experience. The views alone went above our expectations as the pictures do not do this site justice!!

Luis's spot was a beautiful stop on the start of a long week of national park visiting! The field was clear and level. It was a little challenging to navigate to the site itself, as we arrived around 10 pm and it was quite dark, but both Apple and Google Maps brought us to the right spot. Would recommend a vehicle with decent ground clearance to get to the site - my 4Runner did great. Overall, would definitely book again! Thanks!

Was just a blank space in the desert that I intended to use for astronomy. The highway is about a mile or a mile and a half away. There’s one there but you. Gerardo is very helpful if you reach out to him. Good instructions for how to get there, though I suggest reviewing it on Google maps before you go. The most helpful tip he gave was the GPS coordinates so you could find it on the map.

The land owners Edwin and Mike are very friendly and hospitable, they were kind enough to bring us 3 20 lb bags of ice when we ran out. The campground was very nice , all of the campsites are covered in wood chip which makes it nice the land is very well maintained. It was very peaceful and very quiet and we know that we will return again in the future.

I enjoyed my stay on Luis's land. It was private, peaceful and offered panoramic views. We stayed during a week of rain showers so a 4-Wheel or AWD would be recommended. Luis was kind, helpful and always available for questions. The GPS led me to the area, and Luis's directions helped me find the specific spot. I would definitely stay again :)

First off, we decided we needed a quick getaway, and with very short notice Edwin was able to fit us in! Very cool. The drive was scenic, and WOW,its THEE Route 66!! I wish we had taken more pics of the campground, but I was mostly out exploring, connecting with nature. My husband was busy relaxing and he is more comfortable behind the camera than in front. The place had a serene feel, CALMING. The air was clean and clear. The weather was perfect, the wind was soo invigorating! At night we saw falling stars, and so many stars!! Even some satellites! AND we heard coyotes howling, it was just like a movie! If you need a respite to recharge your life battery, we would definitely recommend "the 40 on Route 66". It was wonderful! This Hipcamp dealio is really convenient

Very quiet spot… We were only ones there! Property is beautiful and well maintained. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. 10 mile dirt road is not a problem for any vehicle. I drove a class C RV. Just go slow and enjoy the sights! Plenty of wildlife is a plus!

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Experience Ranch 🌄😍

This campsite was very unique and indeed a peaceful experience. Although it was very secluded, it still felt close and comfortable somehow. The location is great for getting away from the traffic and crowds that may be at other nearby campistes, and provides a quite, open area with much freedom and wonderful view of the stars at night. It was very cool the be camping in the middle of the desert and feel so alone but not isolated. Luis was a great host and ensured that our arrival, stay, and departure went smoothly and were comfortable.

This was a remote area, exactly what I was looking for. Quiet and no one else around. Due to the area the sky was lit up with stars easy to pick out constellations.. I was given excellent detailed directions and the location was easy to find. I was definitely made to feel welcome and return any time.

Absolutely magical property! You are nestled, secluded in the Arizona dessert! The host, Luis, is very communicative and kind! He made the experience special. I was able to find the property easily with Google maps and Luis’s description! While on the property I star gazed and saw an elk! Very magical! My dogs also loved having all that space! Luis mentioned some neighbor dogs. They did try to run under the car driving in, but never came to the property or bothered my dogs! Some notes - the road leading there is very bad. Uneven bumpy dirt roads, so as noted in Luis description it’s important to have a big vehicle or 4wd. I don’t have 4wd, but was able to make it in a van. (Make sure you have everything secure because things will fly. RIP my plates 😂😂) Definitely worth it though!
