The home was built by my parents in ‘82. My Mom was an avid hiker and outdoors person. She collected and planted agave pups in the yard and tended to them over the years. Because they’re watered and the pups are removed each spring they continue to grow to mammoth size.
Once they bloom the plant dies. 3 have bloomed, producing 40’ stalks.

Nestled in a canyon full of giant oak trees , you’ll be amazed that you’re in southern Arizona. The dirt road is ideal for walks and bicycle rides. The property is 4 miles from the town of patagonia, just 2 miles in from highway 82. Patagonia lake state park is 9 miles away. If your looking for a remote feeling camp experience then this place is for you. You’ll definitely need to be in a self supported rig because it doesn’t have any amenities but it was perfect for our dogs and us. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and sunrises during our stay. We loved how close we were to all of the climbing areas we explored.

We wanted someplace quiet and peaceful. We found it at Thousand Oaks. Steve and Cindy were fantastic hosts. Cindy recommended a hike nearby and it was a beautiful, fun little jaunt. The night sky was beautiful and did I mention, it was quiet!

Sites are well marked with high stakes and numbers. Paul has leveled out the turn outs in a gentle arch. Only suggestion is to continue cutting back the brush to avoid Arizona Pinstripes.

The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Cindy, the host is friendly and helpful, giving us directions ahead of time. We had a great time last weekend with our dogs and cat.
Patagonia was 10-15 degrees cooler than Tucson but we still needed AC so the electricity was handy. The camp site was private and we felt safe even it's right by a road. The neighbors waved when he drove passed and that's really nice.
The gate to the property is tight but we got in with our 22 ft truck and 22 ft trailer (I misread the instructions). So definitely follow the 34 ft total length recommendation.

This is a beautiful, quiet property outside Patagonia. There is a large area for tent or RV camping that is level and has trees around it. The is also a gulch near by with a rich mining history, and beautifully colored rock. We hope to go back again sooner than later.

Coyote Run Ranch is a fantastic place to stay! It’s incredibly accessible and close to everything, making it a convenient spot for exploring the area. Despite its proximity to town, it’s peaceful and quiet, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle.
One of my favorite parts of the experience was the breathtaking sunsets and the opportunity for stargazing under the clear night skies—truly magical. If you’re looking for a serene location with great views and easy access to nearby attractions, this is the place for you!
Highly recommend for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Steve’s place was perfect. Pin drop quiet aside from wildlife that made the experience EXACTLY what we were looking for. His sister Cindy was absolutely delightful to talk with and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we might need.
Would absolutely recommend this spot☺️
