Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center.  Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River.  We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available.  We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!..  The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels.  However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar.  We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees.  There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. It is pristine juniper covered land in every direction at 5200'+ elevation with incredible Northwest Arizona mountain and valley views. I bought some lots in a beautiful mountain valley. Now I just need a road Learn more about this land: Vacant Land 3.8 acres undeveloped. No Roads actually make it to my property, The only way to get there is through the brush following game trails for just under half a mile. You should have downloaded good maps for offline use, and have a GPS that works. The area is a gorgeous valley surrounded by mountains, with big granite boulders everywhere and rarely any people. It is about 5 miles south of the grand canyon western ranch up into the mountains. the road in crosses state lands and ranch lands, game and fish have a sign in sheet at the beginning of iron springs canyon road. Please leave gates as you found them. Once there you can pretty much park and camp anywhere but the last mile of road is serious 4x4.

The field was the perfect backyard oasis we needed. Use of the hot tub was amazing, beautiful landscape with dog areas to use. We stayed in cabin 1 so we could park our van next to the cabin. In walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Was just a blank space in the desert that I intended to use for astronomy. The highway is about a mile or a mile and a half away. There’s one there but you. Gerardo is very helpful if you reach out to him. Good instructions for how to get there, though I suggest reviewing it on Google maps before you go. The most helpful tip he gave was the GPS coordinates so you could find it on the map.

The land owners Edwin and Mike are very friendly and hospitable, they were kind enough to bring us 3 20 lb bags of ice when we ran out. The campground was very nice , all of the campsites are covered in wood chip which makes it nice the land is very well maintained. It was very peaceful and very quiet and we know that we will return again in the future.

First off, we decided we needed a quick getaway, and with very short notice Edwin was able to fit us in! Very cool. The drive was scenic, and WOW,its THEE Route 66!! I wish we had taken more pics of the campground, but I was mostly out exploring, connecting with nature. My husband was busy relaxing and he is more comfortable behind the camera than in front. The place had a serene feel, CALMING. The air was clean and clear. The weather was perfect, the wind was soo invigorating! At night we saw falling stars, and so many stars!! Even some satellites! AND we heard coyotes howling, it was just like a movie! If you need a respite to recharge your life battery, we would definitely recommend "the 40 on Route 66". It was wonderful! This Hipcamp dealio is really convenient

This was a remote area, exactly what I was looking for. Quiet and no one else around. Due to the area the sky was lit up with stars easy to pick out constellations.. I was given excellent detailed directions and the location was easy to find. I was definitely made to feel welcome and return any time.

Stayed the weekend at Donna's ranch and loved it. She is so nice and accommodating. Beautiful sunsets and a beautiful location. Be sure to get her firewood bundles as they make the evenings even better.
